  • Steve Roach live at MSA outdoor annex performance space Tucson, Arizona. November 2, 2019. This concert was part of the All Souls Procession weekend. The All Souls Procession is perhaps one of the most important, inclusive and authentic public ceremonies in North America today. A myriad of altars, performers, installation art and creatives of all kinds collaborate for almost half the year to prepare their offerings for this amazing event. The All Souls Procession, and now the entire All Souls weekend is a celebration and mourning of the lives of our loved ones and ancestors. Steve as the 2019 musical director also performed for the closing ceremony the next evening in an adjacent outdoor space that hosted over 100,000 people for this powerful, emotional moment in time.

The Ambient Maestro at work. I can't even imagine a world without Steve Roach. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say this man is the GREATEST ARTIST on the planet. Thank you, Steve.

@@driggerfireon5760 Same. My count is 71 Roach discs ripped onto my PC as WAV files. My hope is this show gets mastered onto a double disc. Steve is at the height of his artistic powers. The pinnacle.

Sing songs that none have sung, think thoughts that ne'er in the brain have rung,
Walk in paths that none have trod, weep tears as none have shed for God,
Give peace to all to whom none other gave,
Claim him your own who's everywhere disclaimed.
Love all with love that none have felt and
Brave the battle of life with strength unchained.

This is my 2nd listen at a peak volume. This soundscape goes from silence to electron transfer to starquakes to super novas to pulsars. Everything is in majestic flux. Then we dive into a dark tribal otherworldly primal flow at the 1:10:00 mark. Dream Tracker? Tales From The Ultra Tribe? Early Man? Artifacts? Mind blown!

I mentioned this in another thread, too; Steve has done some incredible collaborations over the years. I would love to hear him do an album with my electronic new age music idol, JONN SERRIE. I think the two of them could create music together that would blow us into another dimension.

Question for anyone in the know: from 1:14:00-ish on, there is this percussive high-energy housy sequence ( i don't know what i should call it).
I'm looking for more of this. Any other work by Steve Roach or artists out there? I find it rather meditative.
I could do with an hour of this.

@@scottmaxwell8578 From the concerts that I have been to in the past 2 years, its resonating of "The Ancients Way" off of "Return to the Dreamtime". Now Steve may have a different view since its his creation but from what I can tell its a kind of different approach of that Track, which also can be a modern creation of "Airtribe Meets the Dream Ghost" off of the Dreamtime Return Release back in 1987.
