That looks so epic, challenging and what an adventure- win or lose. To think there is 200 miles of gravel and going full gas is insane. Truly a great athletic feat to even finish.
I am fat old and slow but managed to get psyched and finish BWR and DK. Learned a lot through following Ted's Excellent Adventures. THX for the inspiration.
Ted, you’re probably too humble of a guy to admit this, but you showing up at this race years back probably was what gave it the credibility to drawl in other big talent, kudos to you for taking a risk I know you have a product to sell as well, but it’s so cool that you put your heart and soul into something like this
Awesome video series - really gives me a sense of what this event is all about! I was a crappy mountain biker for several years, before becoming a full-time roadie over the last 3. Watching all that I've seen about DK, though, is making me consider participation in the 25 (or 50, if I'm feeling particularly cheeky) as a genuine bucket list item!
I have never heard pro tour riders talk of their races like Ted has of this ride. It commands a lot of respect and thanks to Ted's generosity for sharing an amazing experience.
Hi Ted, your Groad to Kanza videos serie is a blast, I watched them all. I shook your hand at the Expo on Friday while pro photographers were taking pictures. You are certainly one of the top gravel racers and have the opportunity to lead this growing cycling sport in one direction or the other. Keep racing gravel events and stay one of the true ambassadors gravel needs.
Great video. Being in Emporia this year was by far the coolest experience I have ever had on a bike. Thanks for being such a great ambassador for all things gravel and promoting the “gravel family” ethos! Keep up the great work!
Enjoying the series and subscriber to Ted's podcast. Thanks Ted for the time and effort you put into these 2 forms of entertainment and the education that you provide for us who love the sport of gravel.
Dirty Kanza is now a true Monument in my opinion, late in the spring season, it's got the distance and as hard as Paris-Roubaix with a different kind of beating to be taken. It stands alone as the U.S. Monument race.
Awesome series TK! It was super fun to watch your journey leading up to DK and ultimately the conclusion. Still a very strong finish, and really inspired by your amazing work on and off the bike. I’m excited to see what comes next, incl. Rooted Vermont, and hopefully will catch you (more likely you catch me) on the roads around VT!
Excellent series. I enjoyed every minute of it. I need more. Ted, you did an awesome job. Cannondale this is advertising, well played. Ansel, thank you for being this good. There was nothing to complain about this movie series.
Its been a great journey following your exploits leading up to DK. I for one will look forward to seeing your next adventures & insights along the way.
Awesome content, again, Ted. Thanks for taking us along on the ride and inspiring this average cyclist to dream big and have a good time doing it. Looking forward to more videos. Cheers.
Inspirational series. Must have been cool rolling across the line with your friends. Great result and I've learned a lot from your videos. I look forward to seeing more.
Great vid Ted! Having done the 100 this year on a SuperX (yes, because I saw the vid on the Cannondale site LOL) and having had you pass me on several Grasshoppers while I was on the short course while you were on the long, you've been inspiring my gravel riding for several years now. But I also want to thank you for starting UnTapped. I have Celiac and just discovered UnTapped. It's going to keep me going and help me do the DK200 next year. And you're spot on when you say there's something special about DK. I fell in love with it and can't wait for next year. See you at the early Grasshoppers.
As a quasi 50 year old cycling beginner who's a follower & Ted King fan from far away tiny little Malta (in Europe....Google it) I know I will never get to meet the guy to or to come close to events like this. But I have to say it: Ted I admire the way you keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, & speak to us eyeball to eyeball, not from the high up position you worked so hard to reach in life. Yes, you inspire people way far away than most would think. Best regards, to you & your loved ones in these trying times.
I hope, someday, kinda, that DK becomes a new breed of one-day classic. It might already be- but I think it's prestige in the world-wide scope of cycling has lots of room to grow.
Awesome film and effort. While no where near the clout that Dirty Kanza has watching this has made me sign up for the Hell Hole gravel stage race in SC.
Mighty grand as usual, hats off and huge thanks. Would love to hear more dialogue on the race breakdown and how things played out. Were the WT fellers working together, changing the race vibe, etc... ? Thanks again.
I am confused about how the race is “self-supported” when you can get your bike worked on, bottles prepared/handed to you, and just general things to make a single rider’s race easier. I get the EF water fountain that is available to all riders, but doesn’t the former favour riders who can afford to have their family members fly in to crew for them? Shouldn’t a self-supported race force you to carry everything you need with the pit stops only offering things available to all participants? Just curious. Cheers

Hats off to you James, that's no mean feat. People like you are an inspiration too!

Great videos! Thanks for being such a influential ambassador for Gravel and DK. You are always #1.
GROAD to Kanza - and the race video seemingly marks the midpoint of the story - how awesome is that? This series is just so good...

Ted is such a class act. Great ambassador to the Dirty Kanza and hope to meet him at my third kanza next year. Awesome job Ted!
Nov. 2021. Still watching this to hope for better times. Thanks Ted.

You are inspiring me Ted King! Love the videos, keep ‘em coming.
Is it weird this gets me pumped up enough that I watch it every time I step up my rides and go for the longest one to date?
Absolute blast watching the series come up over the weeks. Thank you to all of you who contributed to this! :)
Beautiful filmmaking. Thanks for taking us on the journey with you TK.
Enjoying the series and subscriber to Ted's podcast. Thanks Ted for the time and effort you put into these 2 forms of entertainment and the education that you provide for us who love the sport of gravel.
Echoing Nathan Dycus "Great videos! Thanks for being such an influential ambassador for Gravel and DK. You are always #1."

Outstanding video and amazing series!
Ted, Thank you for sharing your journey! Dirty Kanza is the definition of “epic.”
Great series! A sincere thanks for sharing it. You're a humble guy and I really appreciate your perspective.

Fantastic series
Superb, can’t wait to see more. 👍🏻🚴🏻
@6:45, looks like a lot of the "gravel" we have here in the Colombian Coffee Axis! Certainly makes you choose your lines a bit cautiously!
For me you are " numero uno". Great Ted!
Great videos, love the series, I can't wait for more!
Amazing stuff! What a life you lead!
Epic. 2020 soon approaching!
Awesome content, again, Ted. Thanks for taking us along on the ride and inspiring this average cyclist to dream big and have a good time doing it. Looking forward to more videos. Cheers.
Fun and masochistic 😂
Great definition
To be continued... good thing because I'm finding myself chomping at the bit to watch the next one already.
See you in Emporia in 2020?!
Just a great series!👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻

So many killer narratives coming out of the DK this year, and this is no exclusion. Well done Ted.

Loved the series leading up to this man. Hopefully you'll do something similar for another race or for DK next year.
Arrowhead material baby!
Great recap, this looks so epic! I can't wait to sign up for 2020!
Great Vid!
Well done.

Really enjoyed the vlog Ted. Great racing out there bro !
Awesome film and effort. While no where near the clout that Dirty Kanza has watching this has made me sign up for the Hell Hole gravel stage race in SC.
Seen "Untapped" and thought of the beer check-in app... 🤣
Excellent series! Well done and edited. Rumor has it that Panaracer named a tire after Ted...?🤔
Cheeky naming, eh?
Grasshopper hat!

Whats the name of the music that starts at 6:02? Diggin that guitar riff
Salt lake seagulls - Chris shards
Great video! Was wondering what the music is at the end?
Mighty grand as usual, hats off and huge thanks. Would love to hear more dialogue on the race breakdown and how things played out. Were the WT fellers working together, changing the race vibe, etc... ?
Thanks again.
Does anybody know what the awesome piece of music is at 6:00?
Hell yes.
wow!
inspired me to go out in rainy weather and hammer down the gravel today! #inspired!
