It's absolutely not boring (13:57), it helps me to find a way to get my 80/20 safely placed in the back, thank you so much. Greetings from Germany :-) thumbs up and subscribed
I have a cargo mat that is the perfect shape. Plan to do a platform in the spring and just use it as the template. Thank you for providing the correct bolt size, will defiantly be helpful. Was thinking of getting the goose gear platform, but I already have the wood, tools and materials to do myself. Nice end product and thank you for the video.
Did you consider using a piece of cardboard to get the fit then transfer to the plywood? Keep up the excellent video work, looking forward toe the final presentation!
What year and model jeep do you have? I looked in comments and video description and didn’t see it. I’m looking to model this for my 2018 2 door wrangler JK
You can go with what you feel works. I went with thicker to prevent warping in the humidity plus when I screw down anything to it, I can use somewhat longer bolts than if this was thinner.
Of course! It's just at that moment I didn't have enough cardboard. I used to have a ton of boxes but when the hurricane flooded the garage, it all got destroyed. BUT this worked out good and next time if I have to make it again I'll def be using cardboard to do it.
@@BaptismOverland I myself have a 2009 Jeep JK 2-door. I removed the rear seats, installed a Backbone Security Cover System and made a wooden floor platform. Now wanting to make a single drawer system to store items and make it easier to get to. I'm not really good at wood working and I may just have someone else make it for me. But great video.
Love your videos man, I feel one tip would be to use some cardboard and fine tune the shape with that then transfer to a piece of wood after you get it dialed in. otherwise top not work brother!
I would have done it with cheap MDF. In 3 pieces...left, middle and right. Then, when all is fiitting correctly, put it on a single piece of wood and trace...but thats me
Built my base today, perfect fit. Thanks for the video and inspiration.
Nice!!
Dude, I realize I'm late to the party, but your work is always so thorough and well thought out. Keep it up. Salamat
Thank you for your time and effort in not only making a video like this but the detail you put in it.
Thank you for watching!

Of course! But didn’t have a big enough piece as I haven’t ordered anything huge from Amazon prime lately 😂 But yeah, I would use cardboard if I could

Jeep JK 2016 sport :)
Is plywood that thick needed or can you use less thick plywood?
You can go with what you feel works. I went with thicker to prevent warping in the humidity plus when I screw down anything to it, I can use somewhat longer bolts than if this was thinner.
have you thought about using a template cut out from a large cardboard??
Of course! It's just at that moment I didn't have enough cardboard. I used to have a ton of boxes but when the hurricane flooded the garage, it all got destroyed. BUT this worked out good and next time if I have to make it again I'll def be using cardboard to do it.

Thanks man!
And yeah normally I would do cardboard but just didn't have any laying around. I shoulda been saving them Amazon boxes lol.

The intro is by my bro in law

That works too. But for me it was easier (and more precise for me) to cut cardboard with scissors and box cutter than bring out the jigsaw
Not to mention added cost of MDF vs free amazon boxes 😂
Live in the West Coast area??
No but I’m originally fr the bay. Now I’m in NW Fla
