I was thinking of doing a bunch of rooted plants and substrate, but i tried floating plants and it went bad. They clog up the connection tubes between the tubs.
This white media is called K1 caldness media and you can get it on amazon. Quite expensive but it should pay for itself as you dont have to clean it with fluidized bed.
