A wonderful man and conductor. I'll never forget the impact his Boston SO Mahler 1 on Deutscher Grammophon made on me when I first heard it. His recording of Schoenberg's Gurrelieder is still one of the best in the catalogue. Rest in peace, Maestro!
😢😢😢rest in peace gentle giant 😢😢😢 hurts so bad losing someone that made us feel so good, music is a spiritual asset, it's eternal, people that give us great emotions in music never die at all, he was such a great guy beyond borders, condolences family, fans are invited to organize tribute events keeping the memory alive because...music is our family and we will never be apart anymore, music is everything, once we can enjoy a concert together, any other struggle of life becomes a piece of cake ❤🎉❤

Seiji Ozawa and Zubin Mehta led the way for so many Asian conductors and musicians in the world of Western Classical music. I will sorely miss him.
Rip Seiji Ozawa, you will be missed
A humble man who taught the world. He was a master and will be greatly missed. 🎻👏🏻🎻🎶

Still missed in San Francisco. He was a treat for us !
He was a marvelous conductor. Disappointed there was no mention of his early years at the San Francisco symphony. Fortunate to have seen him conduct
Rest in peace Maestro Seiji Ozawa
What a wonderful human being 😊❤❤❤
I met him in a Japanese restaurant in Vienna near the opera house during the period when he conducted the Vienna Opera.
I have been a fan since 1968 when he conducted Mussorgsky’s “ paintings at an exhibition “
Seiji Ozawa set the standard by which all other conductors are judged. God bless him forever!

R.I.P.
the comment about his connection to “ East and West” was so demeaning to such a talented man I understand why Ozawa just laughed it off. RIP Maestro
