I honestly thought I preferred the original voice actor from the first spyro but after seeing what they've done with the body language and facial expressions this was done perfectly.
To those who don't know, here is the official backstory for Gnasy Gnorc from the first Spyro the Dragon game manual: "Gnasty Gnorc was originally an inhabitant of the Dragon Realms, but as time went on, he found it hard to live with the Dragons' rules and customs. He became chaotic and unruly as he gazed at the Dragons' treasure cache of gems that were not only beautiful to look at but also showed him the reflection of his own ugly mug. As time went on, Gnasty began causing mischief which soon escalated into trouble in the Dragon Realms as he began learning and meddling with magic. So the Dragons banished Gnasty to a wasteland world known as the Dragon Junk Yard, where he was far enough away to do whatever he wanted without hurting any other residents. After a while, Gnasty claimed the junkyard as his kingdom and renamed the wastelands "Gnasty's World." He realized however, that his power was nothing without minions to command. After a while, he found a spell that can turn gems into Gnorcs and other unsightly beasts, and so he began "borrowing" the Dragons' treasure and creating soldiers out of them to serve his cause. Wow, that's a pretty interesting backstory even if it's made up. :O Really wish they actually let you learn that through the actual game. :( I wonder how well a prequel would have worked...

If you played this before, you will fall in love with this game AGAIN Is obviously the same game but it feels completely new and refreshing I LOVE IT!!
I currently have platinum in all three and honestly it's so fantastic! The updated graphics and sounds work beautifully, and it's just the best! The Crush fight though..... definitely raged out.
I was explaining to my grandma that when I was a kid these graphics were like what we see graphics today to me. Like they looked so amazing. Now it's like "The fuck is this shit? Coulda sworn it looked better."
I love how well they’re animated in the new version. The amount of expression in their movoments and ways if moving, the cartoonish bouncyness in movements both in characters and objects. I’m a nerd when it comes to animation.
I see what you mean. These animations remind me of a Dreamworks movie, like Kung Fu Panda or something like that.

Me to man, this is because reignited is made in modern day when we're mutch more familliar with computers and how to animate something as lively as possible(isn't it ironic that computer animation replaced 2D in both the big and small screen yet the only way to make it look appealing is by making them look as 2D hand drawn like as possible!?;), because let's be honest old school computer animation is ugly look at something like beast wars it looks like their constantly awwed by everything with googly eyes and their mouths open, but check out stuff like Ciro Niele's tmnt it's beautiful,fluid,cartoony,lively. Speaking of wich check out nostalgia critic's video on the subject of cgi!(and I gotta admit seeing a bit more viriety of animation on the bigscreen whould be retresting, but so fare the closest thing we get are into the Spiderverse and the mlp movie based on Lauren Faust's show, wich by the way are amazing experiences and I highly recommend you to check them out if you wish.)
I was incredibly skeptical over his redesign, but the animation and bounciness just adds something to it. Hell, even the fact he's actually got legs this time works surprisingly well.
Loved how the intros....flown so well for the trilogy to make it all sensible (Ripto attacking, Bianca's questionable sertitude, Gnasty SEEING the insult hurled at him)
Ever since this game was revealed, I have just been in awe of how good it looks. Toys for Bob really did a good job in making characters feel more alive.
Okay so from the end credit I can tell you all the voice actors that returned to voice their character in the Reignited trilogy: Tom Kenny (duh) voicing Spyro, Professor, and other NPCs. Greg Berger (duh) voicing just Ripto and not hunter this time Michael Gough as Gnasty Gnorc Andre Sogliuzzo as Sparx Richard Tatum as Agent 9 These are the only voice actors that as far as I know, reprised their roles at a extent ofc. Any other characters have new voice actors as far as I know.
the amount of detail is amazing! just look at how that necklace looks like its part of her body compared to it actually looking like a necklace in the new graphics. amazing!
It would be nice if there was an update to where you could switch to original sound effects and modern sound effects for the game instead of just the ability to switch between original music and modern music.
I still prefer the atmosphere of the originals for some reason. I appreciate the changes to the Reignited Trilogy cause I mean, it is better. In pretty much every way. But I think there's just something about the charm in the music, sound design, and voices that interest me more. But honestly I'm probably just feeling a lot of Nostalgia.
There was reason to why they did certain things in the past. Colors were less saturated for a more fun, soothing, & mystical look. Music was very EasternEuro/NorthAsian in feeling, which fits the badlandish visuals. Architecture was otherworldly, to push the fantastical feel more. Why they changed so much, I'm not sure. I guess they didn't understand the sucess that the Crash Trilogy had...
I feel like Reignited Trilogy they sound not as quirky and like they try too hard but it doesn't have the same appeal to me. And let's not get started on the clothes that the dragons wear. I just don't like things over the top but other than that I do like it. I get what you mean too with the pastel colours, I feel like we'll never get that magic again from the older games like Spyro
Its not nostalgia the atmosphere of the original is better i feel the same about the halo remastered games they lost what made them great but stupid people think new=better so they say is all nostalgia
Personally I like both but I suspect that in the future when I want to play out of nostalgia I'll probably just emulate the old versions even though I own both this and spyro I on pc now. I think part of it is that lots of areas and creatures look darker, probably unintentionally so due to the tech limitations
The Reignited Trilogy is looking SOOO GOOOD...but I will personally say...while the remake is better in most areas, the original intro for 3 is better overall. Now that isn't to discredit how they did it in reignited trilogy because it still sounds great, but the tone is different. Mostly due to that tune that plays. It makes you feel anxious and unsure, but then it kinda sifts to make you feel determined and courageous. It sets the tone REALLY well! Plus, the tone of the situation seems to be taken more seriously in how they speak. That and the sorceress sounds a bit more threatening and stern in the original. Again, not a game breaker or anything, but I just prefer the original's tone.
Now that is a good criticism right there. Its usually people who either praise without seeing potential flaws or just say its complete crap without giving any of it a chance
grumpy guy honestly I don’t think we can progress much further. Resolutions are already zeroing in on the maximum your eyes can see on a regular-sized TV and games are starting to look a lot like real life. I think that by PS6 and whatever Xbox’s name will be (not putting Nintendo in here as they seem to always use resolutions that aren’t very big (for example, the Wii which was in SD and the Switch which drops below 1080p a lot even when docked) and by then their console will probably be running at 4K) we will have made games that look incredibly realistic without being real life and huge resolutions that can’t get bigger.
All of the character redesigns look way much better than before especially Ripto. I never really cared for the old Ripto design but now in this reignited version I freaking love it.
The Reignited one looks obviously way better. But the original one is WAY funnier (or should I say wackier). There's something majestic about that low amount of polygons. The new ones look like a dream work movie. Spyro even has the smrik. Doesn't mean it's bad though.
Finally someone mentions the "polygon graphics". The backgrounds and skies looked as you said more majestic than the reignighted. I was really hoping they would keep that in someway. But it wouldn't make sense with today's tech. Oh well. I love both gens of the game .
I think its also the camera angles. For example the third one has a over head shot, then a shot of the guys taking eggs, than a still shot for the rest of it. It makes it a lot funnier because it looks so derpy, but I think its supposed to.
A lot of it is nostalgia though. People complaining about the lighting even though techniques in PS1 era weren't nearly as advanced. They're literally asking for decades old infrastructure that didn't look good but was the best they could manage. Some complain about the dragon's models how they missed them being "mute" and more realistic instead of understanding that was a design standpoint for cost effectiveness. Literally you're in Artisans world and the design for the dragons are different artistic professions now. Toys for Bob, despite what some may think, did a lot for Spyro in Skylanders to keep the series alive with kids. This care towards the Spyro series is clearly reflected within this game. People also forget that they were working with dead code, everything in the remaster is from the ground up. For me, I miss the way some of the characters uttered unintelligible screams in Ripto's rage, but that's a personal preference that didn't necessarily make the world any better or realistic. But that's my opinion and nostalgia, not negative feedback.
I wouldn't label the complaints about lighting as nostalgia, it definitely could have been improved, and the fact that the techniques used in PS1 were limited made for a handcrafted lighting that could end up with gorgeous stuff, here, for example: i.redd.it/njxa08vnhqx11.jpg In the example you can see they didn't even try to reproduce that beautiful inviting light by placing the lighting source in front of the door, made me a little sad, obviously not a deal breaker though, there definitely was care put into this, I just don't think it should be regarded as perfect (no game is) and that any criticism isnt always just nostalgia.
@@SerpongeDash Yes but that's more to due with the limitation by design and hardware being forced to utilize vertex lighting rather than being able to capitalize on per-pixel shading to account for depth, diffusion of color, and models themselves. In the old days lighting had no dynamic effect, was implemented at certain intervals, and could not process across non-static textures. Yes the new spyro could have certainly added light there, but I'm more inclined to believe that it's more a function of the light interacting with the textures. The past was cost effective, today is a design decision and nitpicking as it relates to graphical fidelity not necessarily a flaw.
There's so much improvement, particularly in Ripto's Rage. Making the tussle with Zoe and Ripto more physical and having Spyro exchange a concerned glance with her makes his sudden willingness to help more believable. A dynamic character like Hunter is much more complimented by this level of graphics, too.
I'm not so sure about the last game. The opening had a much more mystical and desperate tone to it once they realized the eggs were gone. Notice how the one dragon says "the forgotten world", it sounds way more serious and scary in the original
I agree. I can appreciate that they redid the voice acting, but the original sounds more candid I guess than the new ones, which sounds more rehearsed to me. Or it could be that I just know the originals by heart to the point that anything else sounds weird.
Michael Espeland the game story doesn’t age well. The part where he goes into the portal to go to the beach seemed mystical. In the remake it didn’t translate the same.
They took out too many sound effects, such as strong wind in autumn plains when going for the orb, sounds small but they add up and it affects immersion. Also some character designs are bad, such as the sea horses in the summer forest level so i actuallly overall prefer the originals, but im still so happy to play them and see the levels looking beautiful!
YEAH like, i HATE what they did with Zephyr in spyro 2! the land blubbers are supposed to be blobby people, not caterpillars! i guess they made them bugs to make their rivalry with the breeze builder birds "make sense" or whatever, but they were better as blobbies imo. also their big snaggleteeth were poorly done; they don't move properly with the rest of their teeth and jaw, and also aren't even placed properly in the gums. my poor, poor blobbies thankfully it's just zephyr and a couple other small details that i think they screwd up on, tho. the rest of reignited is *chef kiss* fantastic
With the comparisons for all three games, I love the new animations and I find these intros a lot more humorous. Now I’m curios with the rest of the content for the games.
It's so amazing to watch the new reanimated cutscenes! I love them! But I'll always have a soft spot for the originals. Feel like the Remasters are trying to make everything more obvious or something?
I agree! Everything feels quite over exaggerated and almost childlike. I was super excited for these but I'm not so sure at this point... I'll have to watch some game play.
it was like this for the crash n sane trilogy. both remasters are no different but I had an absolute blast with that one even though I still kind of prefer the originals more.

Tom Kenny is a great voice actor. I love how the professor is almost exactly the same as the Ice King from Adventure time. You can hear a little nastily Spongebob in his Spyro Voice. I love it.

Honestly how are people complaining about this? Some people are never happy. These remasters are amazing, and I love how much the developers cared, they really went the extra mile. It’s quite incredible how far we’ve come in 20 years

The dragons called Gnasty ugly, that was so uncalled for so they deserved being turned into statues. Since the remastered came out, I can't remember a day where I stopped playing. I felt like a kid again, so many memories. Not to mention I was finally able to beat all 3 games. Since I didn't have a PS1 memory card, I could never finish them back then. THANK YOU PS4
I don't know. Due to lower polygons leaving the lower detail to the character models back on PS1, it was difficult to see how Hunter was fully explaining a dragon's appearance. Don't get me wrong, I still love the original.

I thought that line was a big improvement over the original... he says "claws like this, and teeth like this" but his PS1 character model doesn't really have claws or teeth to illustrate that point. I know back in the day we just had to use our imaginations, but as someone who grew up playing the originals, I really appreciate all the extra detail that's been put in.
I always found the original version of that scene pretty stupid. I love how expressive and wacky he is with it here. Yes, I understand that the original was limited with how much movement the characters had, but still.
I never got to fully enjoy the Spyro trilogy as a kid. I had only played demos of the first 2 games and had gotten year of the dragon for my birthday. Now I get to live a lost part of my childhood with the reignited trilogy
Ripto's Rage will always be my favorite since it was my first game. My son is 6 and loves playing these. The revamp looks awesome but what the hell did they do to the professor, Elora, and Hunter. 😅
You can definitely tell how much Tom Kenny has aged in the 20 years between doing the original and the remastered Spyro games by listening to his voice.
Dont get me wrong i luv the original trilogy but the reignited one gave the dragons u rescue much more unique designs u could tell the designers pushed the playstation1 to its limits in the original game to making almost all the dragons look alike with simple recolors
Agreed. The original games had so much time and love put into them; everyone did the best they could with the technology they had. How far they've been able to update these games is incredible!

I just want this to come to PC. Crash did eventually and that was fun and all but I didn’t play Crash when I was young. I played every Spyro game and this would be an amazing nostalgia trip if it ever came to PC.
I know, me too! I still got my PS3 cuz I don't play much games to buy a PS4. (Or XBOX ONE which I don't have a desire for either). PC would've been great too!!

All PC's are bad, constant upgrades to play the same damn games and constant maintenance just to avoid a pitty virus from going to youtube. $210 gets me an xbox one s with 1Tb of storage that can play thousands of games no problem and required no maintenance or constant care. If done right it can last you nearly 20 years and you wont even have to put that much extra into it. Consoles are the way to go for sure.

I got Crash Bandicoot on Switch. I’ve always stuck to Nintendo consoles so I missed out on both, but the Spyro series seems WAY more my speed, really reminds me of N64-era Rare games. Can’t wait for this to come to Switch! 😄😩

I really love how they put more character design into all the characters and made them come to life. I never thought they could make an amazing game even more amazing.
Ok as a person who grew up with these games here are my thoughts. (Btw thanks for the video. ) First intro: honestly I thought the remastered version was better. Even though the sheep bouncing is still really funny. Second intro: I actually prefer the original. But the remake rypto part was actually better in animation interactions and even the voice acting. So 50/50 split on that one. Third intro: I liked the original more honestly. Though I can appreciate the camera angles loved them. And I thought the part with hunter made it more accurate as to why his head was sticking out lol. Also loved how the dragon slammed his tail down lol. But as for the remakes in general, they came out fantastic. No real heavy complaints for me. This is a true childhood remake. :)
Tom Kenny fits perfectly with Spyro. I feel Carlos Alazraqui made him sound too bratty, and smarmy, not to the point of unlikable, but not as charming as I’d hoped. Kenny wonderfully puts such enthusiasm and flavor in his voice, he makes Spyro so much more adorable, charming, and fun to watch in the cutscenes.

I love how the Re-ignited Trilogy shows how Gnasty Gnorc was able to hear those dragons bash him. Great detail there....

So much emotion and the facial features alone just makes this game WORTH the buy. I can't wait to see how the FULL game functions.

Me to man, this is because reignited is made in modern day when we're mutch more familliar with computers and how to animate something as lively as possible(isn't it ironic that computer animation replaced 2D in both the big and small screen yet the only way to make it look appealing is by making them look as 2D hand drawn like as possible!?;), because let's be honest old school computer animation is ugly look at something like beast wars it looks like their constantly awwed by everything with googly eyes and their mouths open, but check out stuff like Ciro Niele's tmnt it's beautiful,fluid,cartoony,lively. Speaking of wich check out nostalgia critic's video on the subject of cgi!(and I gotta admit seeing a bit more viriety of animation on the bigscreen whould be retresting, but so fare the closest thing we get are into the Spiderverse and the mlp movie based on Lauren Faust's show, wich by the way are amazing experiences and I highly recommend you to check them out if you wish.)

I was incredibly skeptical over his redesign, but the animation and bounciness just adds something to it.
Hell, even the fact he's actually got legs this time works surprisingly well.

These are the only voice actors that as far as I know, reprised their roles at a extent ofc. Any other characters have new voice actors as far as I know.

It would be nice if there was an update to where you could switch to original sound effects and modern sound effects for the game instead of just the ability to switch between original music and modern music.
I’m so happy that the reboot is so good. I was worried at first because not all reboots are a success but they did a really amazing job.
I really love how much more was added to the intro of Ripto's Rage! Seeing Sparx and Spyro race and jump around is adorable ^-^
I still prefer the atmosphere of the originals for some reason. I appreciate the changes to the Reignited Trilogy cause I mean, it is better. In pretty much every way. But I think there's just something about the charm in the music, sound design, and voices that interest me more. But honestly I'm probably just feeling a lot of Nostalgia.
There was reason to why they did certain things in the past.
Colors were less saturated for a more fun, soothing, & mystical look.
Music was very EasternEuro/NorthAsian in feeling, which fits the badlandish visuals.
Architecture was otherworldly, to push the fantastical feel more.
Why they changed so much, I'm not sure. I guess they didn't understand the sucess that the Crash Trilogy had...
I feel like Reignited Trilogy they sound not as quirky and like they try too hard but it doesn't have the same appeal to me. And let's not get started on the clothes that the dragons wear. I just don't like things over the top but other than that I do like it.

Its not nostalgia the atmosphere of the original is better i feel the same about the halo remastered games they lost what made them great but stupid people think new=better so they say is all nostalgia

Personally I like both but I suspect that in the future when I want to play out of nostalgia I'll probably just emulate the old versions even though I own both this and spyro I on pc now. I think part of it is that lots of areas and creatures look darker, probably unintentionally so due to the tech limitations
The Reignited Trilogy is looking SOOO GOOOD...but I will personally say...while the remake is better in most areas, the original intro for 3 is better overall. Now that isn't to discredit how they did it in reignited trilogy because it still sounds great, but the tone is different. Mostly due to that tune that plays. It makes you feel anxious and unsure, but then it kinda sifts to make you feel determined and courageous. It sets the tone REALLY well! Plus, the tone of the situation seems to be taken more seriously in how they speak.
That and the sorceress sounds a bit more threatening and stern in the original. Again, not a game breaker or anything, but I just prefer the original's tone.
Now that is a good criticism right there. Its usually people who either praise without seeing potential flaws or just say its complete crap without giving any of it a chance
I absolutely love the interaction between Sparx and Spyro in the second one. It makes them seem more like good friends than in the original

grumpy guy honestly I don’t think we can progress much further. Resolutions are already zeroing in on the maximum your eyes can see on a regular-sized TV and games are starting to look a lot like real life. I think that by PS6 and whatever Xbox’s name will be (not putting Nintendo in here as they seem to always use resolutions that aren’t very big (for example, the Wii which was in SD and the Switch which drops below 1080p a lot even when docked) and by then their console will probably be running at 4K) we will have made games that look incredibly realistic without being real life and huge resolutions that can’t get bigger.

The Reignited one looks obviously way better. But the original one is WAY funnier (or should I say wackier). There's something majestic about that low amount of polygons.
The new ones look like a dream work movie. Spyro even has the smrik. Doesn't mean it's bad though.
Finally someone mentions the "polygon graphics". The backgrounds and skies looked as you said more majestic than the reignighted. I was really hoping they would keep that in someway. But it wouldn't make sense with today's tech. Oh well. I love both gens of the game .

I think its also the camera angles. For example the third one has a over head shot, then a shot of the guys taking eggs, than a still shot for the rest of it. It makes it a lot funnier because it looks so derpy, but I think its supposed to.

A lot of it is nostalgia though. People complaining about the lighting even though techniques in PS1 era weren't nearly as advanced. They're literally asking for decades old infrastructure that didn't look good but was the best they could manage.
Some complain about the dragon's models how they missed them being "mute" and more realistic instead of understanding that was a design standpoint for cost effectiveness. Literally you're in Artisans world and the design for the dragons are different artistic professions now.
Toys for Bob, despite what some may think, did a lot for Spyro in Skylanders to keep the series alive with kids. This care towards the Spyro series is clearly reflected within this game. People also forget that they were working with dead code, everything in the remaster is from the ground up.
For me, I miss the way some of the characters uttered unintelligible screams in Ripto's rage, but that's a personal preference that didn't necessarily make the world any better or realistic. But that's my opinion and nostalgia, not negative feedback.
I wouldn't label the complaints about lighting as nostalgia, it definitely could have been improved, and the fact that the techniques used in PS1 were limited made for a handcrafted lighting that could end up with gorgeous stuff, here, for example: i.redd.it/njxa08vnhqx11.jpg
In the example you can see they didn't even try to reproduce that beautiful inviting light by placing the lighting source in front of the door, made me a little sad, obviously not a deal breaker though, there definitely was care put into this, I just don't think it should be regarded as perfect (no game is) and that any criticism isnt always just nostalgia.

Yes but that's more to due with the limitation by design and hardware being forced to utilize vertex lighting rather than being able to capitalize on per-pixel shading to account for depth, diffusion of color, and models themselves. In the old days lighting had no dynamic effect, was implemented at certain intervals, and could not process across non-static textures. Yes the new spyro could have certainly added light there, but I'm more inclined to believe that it's more a function of the light interacting with the textures. The past was cost effective, today is a design decision and nitpicking as it relates to graphical fidelity not necessarily a flaw.

There's so much improvement, particularly in Ripto's Rage. Making the tussle with Zoe and Ripto more physical and having Spyro exchange a concerned glance with her makes his sudden willingness to help more believable. A dynamic character like Hunter is much more complimented by this level of graphics, too.
This remaster looks INCREDIBLE! Ya it's a bit different than the original but WOW! What an improvement!

I'm not so sure about the last game. The opening had a much more mystical and desperate tone to it once they realized the eggs were gone. Notice how the one dragon says "the forgotten world", it sounds way more serious and scary in the original

I agree. I can appreciate that they redid the voice acting, but the original sounds more candid I guess than the new ones, which sounds more rehearsed to me. Or it could be that I just know the originals by heart to the point that anything else sounds weird.

Michael Espeland the game story doesn’t age well. The part where he goes into the portal to go to the beach seemed mystical. In the remake it didn’t translate the same.

They took out too many sound effects, such as strong wind in autumn plains when going for the orb, sounds small but they add up and it affects immersion. Also some character designs are bad, such as the sea horses in the summer forest level so i actuallly overall prefer the originals, but im still so happy to play them and see the levels looking beautiful!

YEAH like, i HATE what they did with Zephyr in spyro 2! the land blubbers are supposed to be blobby people, not caterpillars! i guess they made them bugs to make their rivalry with the breeze builder birds "make sense" or whatever, but they were better as blobbies imo. also their big snaggleteeth were poorly done; they don't move properly with the rest of their teeth and jaw, and also aren't even placed properly in the gums. my poor, poor blobbies
thankfully it's just zephyr and a couple other small details that i think they screwd up on, tho. the rest of reignited is *chef kiss* fantastic

it was like this for the crash n sane trilogy. both remasters are no different but I had an absolute blast with that one even though I still kind of prefer the originals more.
And remember it is meant to be targeted to new audiences as well so of course it's gunna be really different to the originals.

Tom Kenny is a great voice actor. I love how the professor is almost exactly the same as the Ice King from Adventure time. You can hear a little nastily Spongebob in his Spyro Voice. I love it.

The dragons called Gnasty ugly, that was so uncalled for so they deserved being turned into statues.
Since the remastered came out, I can't remember a day where I stopped playing. I felt like a kid again, so many memories. Not to mention I was finally able to beat all 3 games. Since I didn't have a PS1 memory card, I could never finish them back then. THANK YOU PS4

I don't know. Due to lower polygons leaving the lower detail to the character models back on PS1, it was difficult to see how Hunter was fully explaining a dragon's appearance. Don't get me wrong, I still love the original.

I thought that line was a big improvement over the original... he says "claws like this, and teeth like this" but his PS1 character model doesn't really have claws or teeth to illustrate that point. I know back in the day we just had to use our imaginations, but as someone who grew up playing the originals, I really appreciate all the extra detail that's been put in.
I always found the original version of that scene pretty stupid. I love how expressive and wacky he is with it here. Yes, I understand that the original was limited with how much movement the characters had, but still.

I never got to fully enjoy the Spyro trilogy as a kid. I had only played demos of the first 2 games and had gotten year of the dragon for my birthday. Now I get to live a lost part of my childhood with the reignited trilogy
The nostalgia really hits me. These games were my childhood and to see them being remade really makes me happy.
Ripto's Rage will always be my favorite since it was my first game. My son is 6 and loves playing these. The revamp looks awesome but what the hell did they do to the professor, Elora, and Hunter. 😅
You can definitely tell how much Tom Kenny has aged in the 20 years between doing the original and the remastered Spyro games by listening to his voice.

I just want this to come to PC. Crash did eventually and that was fun and all but I didn’t play Crash when I was young. I played every Spyro game and this would be an amazing nostalgia trip if it ever came to PC.

All PC's are bad, constant upgrades to play the same damn games and constant maintenance just to avoid a pitty virus from going to youtube. $210 gets me an xbox one s with 1Tb of storage that can play thousands of games no problem and required no maintenance or constant care. If done right it can last you nearly 20 years and you wont even have to put that much extra into it. Consoles are the way to go for sure.

I got Crash Bandicoot on Switch. I’ve always stuck to Nintendo consoles so I missed out on both, but the Spyro series seems WAY more my speed, really reminds me of N64-era Rare games. Can’t wait for this to come to Switch! 😄😩

Second intro: I actually prefer the original. But the remake rypto part was actually better in animation interactions and even the voice acting. So 50/50 split on that one.
Third intro: I liked the original more honestly. Though I can appreciate the camera angles loved them. And I thought the part with hunter made it more accurate as to why his head was sticking out lol. Also loved how the dragon slammed his tail down lol.
But as for the remakes in general, they came out fantastic. No real heavy complaints for me. This is a true childhood remake. :)
I don't like how they made Elora ugly and Hunter a freaking chad in the remake. But the guy voicing Ripto was reeeeally faithful to the original.
As much as I love the original game because of nostalgia, it's impossible to deny how much better the intro is in the reignited trilogy.
Tom Kenny fits perfectly with Spyro. I feel Carlos Alazraqui made him sound too bratty, and smarmy, not to the point of unlikable, but not as charming as I’d hoped. Kenny wonderfully puts such enthusiasm and flavor in his voice, he makes Spyro so much more adorable, charming, and fun to watch in the cutscenes.
