Post the 1984 riots in Delhi, I remember a few of my Delhi based friends mentioning that over the years and decades, most if not all colonies barricaded themselves with couple of entry/exit gates.
Then came all this formalized security system of shift guards, CCTVs, Apps, remote monitoring.
These are still hard working human beings, being denied basic human dignity, first from their own employers (low salaries, overwork) and then from the callous customers in these colonies/gated developments.

Worst of all, Do you know these kind of job in India still doesn’t have basic mediclaim, ESI, PF etc which are minimum labour norms today. They have 30 days X 12 hrs job no leave not even sick leave which is so brutally inhumane. Keep in mind the people who chooses this job usually have no other skills and belong to poor family of which the employer takes undue advantage of. There is no easy access where these people can file their grievances. In US on the other hand it is a respected job. I hope this scenario will change soon in our country too.

@@omghorpade8802 even if you don’t it can’t be verified in TH-cam comments. What I have mentioned is the harsh truth in general. There is no minimum wage, no sick leave, no job security. You see in the video the guy speaking next time next job. No hope to work with same employer. Also, every time he will to next employer they will deduct his identity reg charges, uniform charges etc, from the same small salary he gets. There has to be serious audit & implementation of labour law in India.

As a newly licensed security agency owner myself, I have just entered the market and can say there's a lot of competition among the agencies to get clients at the lowest price possible which creates the problem of security guards remaining underpaid. So I think there should be a rule under the PSARA act where no security guard should be paid below a fixed certain amount of money but paying higher could be a personal choice for the agencies.

This shows a fundamental problem in our mindset. I belong from the infamous Chambal region, fortunately I’m doing good for myself, but that’s not the case with everyone.
People become educated to become rich, and as you become rich your moral value degrades. It doesn’t cost you anything to just say please and thank you to anyone, and I literally mean anyone.
People who’ve been/in to any western country must have experienced this, it really does this matter what you do, people will still treat you with respect.

I work as a Security Guard in Canada. We are given Vest, Amber White lights, Handcuffs and a Bodycam as well.
We have the right to protect the property, perform arrests and even pull traffic stops in the private property. We work closely with local law enforcement. Raising hands on a Security is considered a serious offence and can lead to jail time.
Its high time we increase standards for our security guys in India.

We can be as cheesy as we want and emotionally comment, but it’s demand and supply. If residents pay 500rs per month more each, they can get amazing dedicated loyal security. All these people just want a bit more money so their families back home can live better. They want premiums during seasons so that it’s worth it financially to be away from family during festivals. Societies need clear zero tolerance policies towards residents who misbehave. Guards should unionise so their collective power ensures no wrong doing by anyone. It takes simple steps to ensure we can all coexist peacefully. It’s only a matter of time before robots and Ai take over all security so for the next 10 to 15 years is where this industry will stay relevant.

Let me add more to it as being bihari privilege to have our family serving as guard ,they are signed a good amount of salary on paper by the pvt company and even in the case of emergency, they are available with blood donation anytime

    Brut just a suggestion.
Make a video on beggers. I have seen beggers with hands and legs at place but something stops them to get over their positions.

I sympathise with these guys and we take our life granted and take undue advantage of petty and silly things. Whereas the government in the past and present have robbed and given us a sub standard life.

I know it won't be a fair judgement to call upon this, but ever since I've come to Delhi, I've noticed how disappointingly the guards are treated here, people can't be nice at all, I mean there are people like this everywhere, but it's a bit too much over here...Not Good
