    Sir I have once question if we are comparing the reactivity of compound for sn1 and in place of all 3 ch3 in t-butyl chloride we place 3 phenyl and comparing it with t-butyl chloride and benzyl chloride then the reactivity order will be?

    Isopropyl chloride is 1.7
    T-butyl chloride is 3.0×10^4
    And pls tell me the exactly rate of benzyl chloride

      bro because when Hydrogen atom converts to Hydride ion by gaining one electron there is tremendous decrease in Zeff(as no of electrons just become double ) so size increases abnormally(as atomic size is inversely proportional to Zeff.) and its size almost become equal to size of Iodide ion. I hope it helps you.MKA Sir please tell me whether i am right or wrong.

    10.25 Hydride affinity of benzyl carbonation is not -234kcal/mol it is actually -118kcal/mol
    And t-Butylcarocation is less stable than benzyl carbocation

    Sir here. On thing in HIA effect, that here Delta H is difference of energy of product and reactant. It does not measures that how a reactant is more stable or not. So you compare these two datas . It may be happen that tertiary butane is less stable than toluene. Please explain??

    Sir apne hyperconjugation me bataya tha ki... number of hyperconjugative structure=alpha hydrogen +1 ...phir isme apne bola ki 9 alpha hydrogen= 9 hyperconjugative structures...why?

      Yes, You are right. If you will include original Structures along with all hyperconjugative structures.. this would be (alpha + 1). But in case of only hyperconjugative structures, it is 9 here.
