Thank you! Its incredibly simple… its just two 2x4’s sandwiching two 3” short 2x4’s at each end. If you use 2x6’s, it would be even stronger and eliminate making the middle bracket. Just drill a hole in the exact center of the 2x6’s at the bottom 1/3rd of the wood. Make the hole for the same diameter bolt that your engine hoist uses at the end of its boom. Thats all there is to it. Its just important to get that hole drilled exactly dead center so that the boom/cab doesn’t tilt. If you’re subscribed, I’ll go over it when I put the cab back on
Great job Mike! I’m having flash backs of when I took my cab off. It was such a satisfying feeling. I did mine by myself too. This is helping me get motivated to get mine going too. Possibly could you do a video about what battery you are using. Obviously not a normal battery. Looks great so far!
Thanks bud! Hahaha that little battery? That is just a half dead ATV battery that I put there to test the light-up “Chevrolet” plate I made. I just needed something with 12v lol. Good luck on your build… hope you make a bunch of progress.
Whats your face to face dimension on your rear end? What size of tires and wheels are you using? Thanks for your time and attention towards answering my questions.
I narrowed it 3” and its hub to hub width is now 56.5”. Im running 20x10 wheels, with 285/30/20 tires. There is definitely room to go wider should one want to. I have quite a few videos on it, if you click my channel name.
I built it and filmed it over a few episodes: 1- th-cam.com/video/g-0qzm19xLw/w-d-xo.html 2- th-cam.com/video/9sRNEAYTxJI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4WUZNfKG8FzNtbzl

Another cool video.
Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Can you explain how your homemade boom arm was constructed and how you attach it to the engine hoist?
