What would you like to see next for Procreate? Let me know
Are you able to do a walkthrough of brush comparisons next to each other? it’s tough for me to tell in these time lapse videos how sensitive different shaders and intensity of effects are
@@WhatThePublicWants Great shout, I did plan to do a kind of mini version of this tutorial, going into the elements of houses, trees etc, so will add the brushes to this too. Thanks!
Subterraininan dungeon map!
Make video like this again, 😍
How did you set up all the layers for different things like rivers, trees, mountains etc etc? I’m so confused bc when I first downloaded procreate I thought it would be set up like I’d seen in videos.
You should make an online course in udemy, skillshare or any similar platforms. Even this video it self can be classified as in depth tutorial, online course would be a dope.
Wow, that sounds pretty advanced! Definitely something to think about though, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
These tutorials are really useful. Im still struggling to get the hills looking good but it's great fun to learn. I'd love a lesson on smaller structures, much like your houses, perhaps a Well, Dungeon Entrance, Boats/Ships, Campfires etc all drawn from above :) Thanks again!
Hi Matt, thanks for your comment and sorry for my slow reply. Those are great ideas for videos and I'll definitely add them to the list of things to do in the future!
Swwweeet! Enjoyed watching your process, tyfs!
Great vid bruv 🏆
I could watch you create maps all day
Thank you Good Sir 🎩
Greatest tutorial on city maps,, inspirayional, concrete an beutifull, Thank you very much
Thank you so much!
Thanks a lot for the video, really good to help beginners 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your magic with us! This map is super cool!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words :)
Wow, really nice!
thx for this it make me inspiration to homebrew now
Thanks so much. Really helpful and inspiring. I’m just getting going with Procreate but this has given me the inspiration to put the work in and get better..
I don't use Procreate, I do most of my work in Illustrator on the PC, but i still found this an interesting video. I recently got a new tablet with a stylus, so need to check what my options are for hand drawing on this. One thing i have found with shading and using Multiply blending modes, like you I often use black (or greys), but I also find using a darker version of the base colour in Multiply mode can give a less muddy effect, especially useful if you want vibrant colours.
This is awesome can’t wait to try this
Thanks Travis, make sure you show me your efforts if you do try it! I love seeing what others come up with :)
These videos are amazing, keep it up!
Thanks!
Great tutotial! Thank you!
Thank you Jean-Claude!
All the maps you create look excellent, what model iPad would you recommend for being able to handle it. Would a 9th or 10th Gen be adequate? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching!
I love watching your process, your maps are beautiful. I have procreate but can't do anything like that with it. You're so talented!
Thank you Angela, you absolutely can do something like this. I'm crap at drawing so if I can do it, anyone can :)
@Maps by Owen no you just feel crap at drawing. Your lines are pretty good man you draw very confidently I you're pretty decent. I love the feel of your maps
grussing brush could you explain how it work in photoshop user
Very nice! What tablet is that, and do you recommend it?
Thank you, it’s a 2020 iPad Pro 11”. I definitely recommend it, I love it
@@MapsbyOwen not an iPay dude 😀 but truly nice work and fun tutorial.you got a fan and I might steal some stuff ,😅
@@GregoryVangilbergen Great to have you here Gregory, I'd love to see whatever you steal :)
Really cool, but far above my skill level. Enjoyable and educational nonetheless
It’s a great map tutorial, but what about the map measurements by the grid? You don’t put that down within the map how do the players use it?
Hi, thank you for taking the time to comment. With a map like this, I don’t generally feel the need to give it a scale as it’s offered more as an overview of the village. For example, players could say they want to visit a particular building and if there is no conflict that stops them (such as having to fight bandits to get through etc) then there is no resolution necessary and they succeed in their action. If there was a conflict to resolve that required the use of a grid on which to move miniatures, then a battle map of the exact location or simple drawing on squared paper (for in person games) would be my method. If you are interested in the conflict resolution, I’d be happy to suggest a useful article.
Downloads no longer work😢
How do you draw such straight lines?
Hi Kyle, I'm not quite sure to be honest, I have quite shaky hands! A bit of practice and decent matte screen protector helps.
which ipad size is that?? (great video btw)
Hi, sorry for the slow reply, it's an 11 inch 2020 ipad pro. Thanks
