Haha exactly right! Now that I am virtually out of room on the shelves ( still have room to fit a second bottle behind most in front) I can always use the closet as another set too LOL
Thanks Chris! I'm debating whether I should make it public eventually or just keep it Patreon only. I feel like a lot of it's just boring not much audio but I enjoy watching it since it's my room I guess haha
Wife not only lets you turn the spare bedroom into a room dedicated to your expensive alcohol hobby, but she designed it!? Either she did something unimaginably horrific, is going to ask a favor of astronomical proportions, or is an ultra rare unicorn wife. How much did you pay for her on secondary?
@@Bourbinsane yeah I used 2 bars and put the shelves on. I added weight to the ends but the shelf didn't budge. Just wanted to see what you may have done. Thank you for the assistance
That's awesome Terry! Any idea what his name is? Even though the Tigers suck I'm still a die-hard fan I know most of the players and watch a lot of the games
@@terrydee5188 oo ya absolutely he started at the Whitecaps I think which is just miles from my house. My dad actually is the PA announcer for them. Small world
Lol I've been hinting to my girl that we are heading in this same direction. The room looks great! So I'll bet you did a bottle count while transferring. What was the total number of bottles to start this new set location???
It was just shy of 200. Not including sample bottles which I probably have another 75 to 100 of I would guess. The Whiskey Community is extremely generous!
I don't know what it is with wood but as I grow older I appreciate it more in home decor, especially in rooms like this.
Chris the Whiskey Room looks awesome. Kudos to you and Mrs. Bourbinsane on a fantastic room re-do!
Thx so much Guy! I am loving it! She did an incredible job!
Nice job Chris! Fun having a Whiskey wall isn't it! Cheers to Ms Bourbinsane too for a nice job
I had no idea what I was missing! You were the inspiration for me building the wall honestly Scott!
Your man who helped build the whiskey.room and your lady are badasses as well🙏🍻
Appreciate it Richie! Doing it myself would have taken 10 times as long!
looks much better than I first thought - great job!!
Appreciate that Jason!
Awesome room. What were the pieces of metal support the shelves?
Just iron pipes I got from menards actually
Looking really good, Chris
I appreciate it Steve!
Looking good man!! That room has a nice vibe to it!! And you still have a whole closet to fill! Hahaha
Haha exactly right! Now that I am virtually out of room on the shelves ( still have room to fit a second bottle behind most in front) I can always use the closet as another set too LOL
Very nice, wish I had this set up. Takes me 10 min to find a bottle and sometimes I need a small flashlight to look in the cabinets below the bar :)
😂🤣its a good problem to have if you cant fond your whiskey!
Dude.....that’s heavenly
Thx buddy! I defintly enjoy it!
I’m having a bourbon tasting party when we are allowed...lol...any recommendations? Thanks!
If your hosting for all starters, Elijah Craig knob creek 100, buffalo trace, wild turkey 101 and eagle rare of you can find it.

Awesome. Maybe one day I'll set something like this up. Very cool, enjoy!

Very cool video with the timelapse.

Looks awesome Chris. Your wife has a huge knack for design and organization!!!
Jealous of such a beautiful whisky room.

Thanks so much! Really appreciate it and I'm loving it so far!
Looks great! Keep an eye on HVAC vibrations, if my cabinet didn't have doors I'd have bottles on the floor.
Good advice thanks! I will be sure to keep an eye on that
Awesome job, Mrs Bourbinsane did an amazing job designing it! Congratulations on hitting 1k subs, and a new setup to accommodate it, looks great.
Thanks so much Dustin! I appreciate the support

Chris you and your wife did a great job.
Appreciate it! Cheers Buddy!
Nice what did you use to hang the wood panels.
It is actually just wood paneling Makes things much
Nice wall set up! Thanks for showing your process. What height did you use between each shelf?
Just big enough for my tallest whiskey bottle haha. Use an eh Taylor tune as a guide lol
Very nice bro💯🥃
Great job Chris! A true badass, brother! Cheers
Thx so much Richie
I just built something similar. Did you use pipe straps to hold the shelves in place? Mine are very well balanced but just curious
No I didn't I am just adding an additional pipe in the middles for support
@@Bourbinsane yeah I used 2 bars and put the shelves on. I added weight to the ends but the shelf didn't budge. Just wanted to see what you may have done. Thank you for the assistance
Where did you get those wood looking panels?
It is acrually just panel board I got from Menards!
Dude this is killer man!!! Looks amazing buddy. Cheers
Thanks a lot Dan! It was a good chunk of work getting all the right pieces to get it done but now that it's done feels amazing!
Very cool Chris!
Thx Bill! I'm excited to have it!
That could not have came out any better. Great job
Thabks so much! Safe to say I am pumped about it!
Sorry if I missed this, but where did you get the “ship lap” or whatever you call it for the walls?
I actually got mine from Menards
Nice collection you got there. I think you need to get some GlenDronachs on that wall. Cheers!
Some Glendronach would fit in very well I think!
really nice
Sweet man! Nice job!
Thx Guys!
Nice! I hope you left room for me when I come to stay in your "guest bedroom"!
Hahaha you're more than welcome to stay anytime Erik just may need to set up a hammock for you in front of the whiskey wall😂🤣

Where do you get the awesome wood wall sheet things?
Cave man art. Chekc out the facebook group. Great prices too
Chris damn good job! Question where did you get the wood walls from? Did they come put together or solo pieces?
Thx! It is actually apps paneling. 4 x 8 foot sections
@@Bourbinsane Awesome Thx man! Something you can get from lowes or menards?
Menards yup!
That is awesome. Y'all did an amazing job. On a side note, A guy I work with his son is a relief pitcher for the Tigers. keep up the good work.

What dimension boards and pipes?
Pipes are 8 inches long from the wall. Boards are only 1/2 in thick but all different lengths
Wheres the metal pieces come from
Menard actually
am i crazy or when he moves the desk does the corner of the wall not line up?
How does the room look in 2023?
It's pretty full but been killing alot of "almost gone" bottles so dwindling a bit haha
Wow, you work fast! Probably did not help your back injury to take on that project. Props to your helpers too.
Couldn't have done any of it without alot of help!
HIT THE LIKE BUTTON GUYS!
How Many Bottles?
I dont have an exact count but guessing around 225
@@Bourbinsane NICE! About the same here. Having my contractor build a bar for me as soon as he gets caught up with his other projects.

Never trust that your studs are 16" on center. Your builder probably didn't care, so you must find them.
I did use a stud finder off camera to make sure haha. Can't risk the whiskey falling!
It took over half the video before the foreman showed up
😂😂yup that would be my dad. Make sure I ddont screw anything up too bad
