My son and his roommates have something like this. We call it the frat house even though they are all well over forty. Only their's is a large covered patio where they have collected a bar, stools, some comfy chairs, a lg screen tv, microwave and a couple frig's to keep the beer and snacks cold. Mostly as a place to relax after work and not worry about driving with adult beverages under the hood. They are in a pretty down to earth neighborhood on the edge of the desert, so no flack from any HOA.
As others have pointed out, the guy that put $100,000 into his bar says the funniest thing about it allowing him to save a few bucks instead of going to the local bar. I don't know how much he drinks or how expensive the local bar is, but........................?
