    You're actually one of the few developers on TH-cam who are transparent and provides a realistic perspective on how to become a self-taught developer , especially in SA. big ups 🤙

      Truly is a hidden gem✨
      It’s rare to find Developers on TH-cam who are so transparent and really want to see everyone win.
      And he’s so grounded! May God’s grace go ahead of him in everything he does.🙏🏾

    thank you so much for this vid and your entire channel. I felt like I dont know enough with html css and js. I want to know more about how to build an affordable portfolio in SA. Like webhosting is a bit pricey, please give advice.

    • @katlegodeveloper

      You don't need to spend a dollar on hosting your portfolio. Just use github pages or netlify or vercel free hosting services and you're good to go!

    What types of projects should I include in my portfolio?

    • @katlegodeveloper
      @katlegodeveloper  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I mostly displayed my freelance work on my portfolio, and some of the projects I'm proud of that showcase my full capabilities (Fully functional web apps with CRUD operations). If you don't have backend skills yet, you can use existing apis to do fetch on the frontend using javascript (This will show you know how to communicate with apis, of which companies love to see)

    Do you need a certificate before applying for jobs
    Because I don't have certificate but I know html, CSS and JavaScript
    But I have no certificate

    • @katlegodeveloper
      @katlegodeveloper  ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don't need any certificates (I don't have any), but having some may help as some companies may want candidates who have them!
