This is true. This is what I do as well. I just keep applying without actually attaching myself to that application. If I see the rejection, I just be like, "something else will come" and keep going.
I am a self taught developer i already learned html, css, js, react, php, mySql git and github. But still getting rejections without even passing to the next stage.
@@AndileSouth it's been six weeks already, and still nothing, the problem is my tech stack is mostly Java and some AWS cloud stuff you see in my case most companies that use Java along with Springboot are big businesses and big corporate companies that are hesitant and can be picky during the hiring process to hire self-taught or any entry-level and can be picky when hiring I am even considering to switch back to Javascript but I not much of a fan of Js, the best way to get in is by graduate programs but they are not guaranteed only graduates with bs degree get in, in Java and C# but despite this, I once heard someone who works at senior level tech position can't remember much but he told me at standard bank they once hired a 20year old white girl with nothing not even matric to do C# development but the thing is they allow this person to get in because has been doing this for a very long time probably since 14years old that was probably 2020 to 2021 but now i doubt it because there just so much people with degrees and qualification than supply but maybe Jan to Feb when the economy is stable there might be opportunities

How heavy is the math and physcial sciences is in software development
Not a lot of math and little to no physical science in software development unless required by the application you're building.
