      +Clark K I would also like to know this guy, but it seems like we are not that fortune. In book Kundalini Tantra author said that asanas are just to keep body healthy. I tried pranayama for 3 weeks as he told in video and I finished with 30 min week now I took a break. I can recommend you one book which is Understanding yourself Prophet.

      +Clark K I tried once meditation where I tried not to think and I entered something it was so different but I never could repeat this meditation. It lasted only for sec because I immediately started to think: what is this???.. So I ruined meditation. I want to do it again. And I also had OOBE but I didn't know what was it. I think the way is through surrender. Light be with u my friend.

      As I have learned, this is a misinterpretation and I also thought it for a long time. Meditation is not to think Nothing or clear your mind completely. It's more about focusing on one thing and not let your mind wander off! When you concentrate on your breath, you may also count with your thoughts - the important thing is to stay focused on the present moment and not to think of the past or the future.

    At 3:19 he says "only rechak, purak, kumbhak.. this is best pranayam!" Rechaka is exhalation, puraka is inhalation, kumbhaka is breath retention, either out or in. The way/order he describes it, one would assume he's talking about Anuloma Viloma, and technically this is the only "pranayama" in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the others being considered "Shat Kriyas". It's also the only pranayama I could imagine someone doing for 3 hours at a time!

    Thank you for this pearl of wisdom.
    A couple of corrections/additions to the subtitles, for the sake of clarity:
    - Ida is the moon system (left nostril, parasympathetic nervous system); Pingala is the sun system (right nostril, sympathetic nervous system). Sushumna is the central channel.
    - Rechaka is exhalation; Puraka is inhalation; Kumbhaka is breath retention (antar kumbhaka is holding breath in; bahir kumbhaka is holding breath out; sahaj and kevala kumbhaka are retention of breath without considering if the breath is in or out).
    Note: there can be slight dialect variations with some of the Hindi/Sanskrit terms.

    This guy is absolutely correct in everything that has been said. Have gone through & experienced exactly the same. He basically is saying, you will experience genetically altering changes that fix your predispositions that you usually would inherit through your parents and through the environment/lifestyle, etc. After around 6-9months, depends on your level of advancement (Remember: Yoga is Symmetry) you will see tangible physiological changes.

    I believe It's Bhogar Pranayam.
    Steps
    1) Close both nostrils
    2) Open only left nostril and inhale -2 Counts
    3) Close left nostril and hold the breath - 4 counts (Both nostrils r closed)
    4) Open only right nostril and exale - 1 count
    5) Close right nostril and hold - 4 counts (Remember both nostrils are closed now)
    Continue steps from 2 to 5 again in same order for further rounds.
    Pl note initially u might feel loss of breath or suffocation, but with practice it gets corrected.
    This pranayam was convinced by the great siddha Bhogar and helps in cleaning and balancing the nadis.

    I have seen one person who does not use any scent or any fragrance and his hands smells like sandal
    He always says that he used to do pranayam every day....from many years

    • @prt-ql1cv
      @prt-ql1cv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      shankar ashok what according to you is purpose of pranayam ?

    • @prt-ql1cv
      @prt-ql1cv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      shankar ashok Sir प्राण +यम is pranayam
      Where prana (प्राण) is force according to physics
      This is the same force/pran which is used by Honorable Nicola Tesla for his inversions and yam (यम) means controlling that pran/force
      When you practice pranayam PROPERLY body starts purifying and the effect of this purification is the fragrance
      Since the body of common human being is impure that's why we have to use deos or sprays
      And and and this is just one outcome of pranayam among its thousand outcomes

    • @prt-ql1cv
      @prt-ql1cv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      shankar ashok before starting pranayam one must do nadi shuddhi
      These are the effects of nadi shuddhi

    • @prt-ql1cv
      @prt-ql1cv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      shankar ashok I believe everything on basis of proofs
      Tere is nothing if you don't believe it or not.....
      Because our aim is not generating fragrance but becoming healthy using pranayam

    • @prt-ql1cv
      @prt-ql1cv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      shankar ashok not odour but fragrance
      And I am ending this conversation
      By saying that you should practice nadi shuddhi for 3 4 months and you will get spiritual benefits from it.
      By the way I am a physicist

    If you loop the part where he mentions 'the best pranayam" (he leaves off the 'a') you will get loosely "Rachuk Puru Akumbak" or Rechacka Puraka Kumbhaka :
    "The building blocks of pranayama are inhalation (puraka), exhalation (rechaka), retention after inhalation (antara kumbhaka) and retention after exhalation (bahya kumbhaka). For the microcosm that is our body, puraka is the generative force, kumbhaka the sustaining force, and rechaka the destructive force that removes toxic substances."

    • @garichar
      @garichar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lucky Singh it’s not dangerous per se. Just like anything in life, take it slowly and ease into the discipline while continuing to educate yourself on the subject. Consult a guru if possible. Would you start bodybuilding by walking into a gymnasium and racking up 400 pounds of weight and begin to bench press it? Or is it better to start light and read up in the subject, and possibly consult a trainer? The same goes for any yogic discipline. Too much too soon can overwhelm the brain. Slow and steady wins the race!

    Only rechaka (exhalation), puraka (inhalation), kumbhaka (retention full and empty lungs) is the best pranayama....Here is the testimony of a Frenchman translated in english by me about square breathing: " I meditate on the breathing (especially on the moment between inspiration and expiration), little by little I no longer feel my body, I feel good along the spine, I have tingling on my body, my eyelids are shaking, I'm in a kind of trance, I feel myself rise (I lose the notion of "space" such as my office) and I stop voluntarily because the feelings are too strong and I have the feeling of controlling nothing."

      That is basic of pranayama, There are three levels of pranayama
      Adhama =12-48-24 - sweating
      Madhyama=24-96-48 - smell
      Uttama = 32-128-64-
      Stages varies by their intensive pratice, before that Shatkarmas helps in purification process and able to perform intensive pratice. Hope this helps?

    Excellent, although I see how cleverly you cut the part where he was showing you the pranayama he was doing right at the beginning of the clip, about which the entire clip is. He is giving you all this wealth of information for free, so why are you hiding information for money, find other means of earning money...Anyways, meditation has always been, is and will remain free for everyone from Indian yogis. I am listing pranamyams he is talking about here, even the video maker couldnt understand the 2nd pranamyam name that is omitted from his subtitle. Learn how information is shared for free? -
    1. Anulom Vilom Pranayama - at the beginning of the clip. I am an Indian so I recognized it from his action, its done everywhere here, foreigners doing yoga will also recognize this.
    2. Rechak Purak Kumbhak Pranayama - is the second one he speaks about in the end # 3:18, as the best Pranayama.
    Btw, all that he says is absolute truth...India is filled with such yogis and many have seen it for ourselves, those who are into serious yoga abroad will also be be witnessing elementary effects.

    I have found that pranayama appears to bring about an altered state of perception. Through contrasting this altered state with my usual daily perception I have gained a sense of the subjectivity of perception.
    I am experiencing the data from my nervous system and nothing else. By modifying the nervous system (by drugs, yoga, sensory deprivation etc etc) we are able to modify the reality that we inhabit.
    I can fully understand why so much of it is illegal, it is a massive threat to the rulers.

    Hello sir, I just watched your video. I have been suffering through INTENSE anxiety for about 7 years. I've tried everything to alleviate this. I swim everyday for an hour, do breathing exercises etc…. but still I suffer. I'm on Ativans which help but I don't want to be having to take a pill everyday just to feel like I don't want to jump out of my skin. Nothing I do seems to help. Doctors tell me that I'll probably have this for the rest of my life but I cannot accept that. Have you ever seen anyone helped with an anxiety disorder through this pranayama exercise? I can do nothing with my life when this anxiety kicks in. Shaking hands…. shaking body… a feeling like a have a great weight on my chest that does not allow me to take a full breath…. extreme discomfort at being around other people…… sharp pain and pressure in my solar plexus area.. The Ativan takes all of that away for 5 or 6 hours but then it just comes back again. I don't know how much longer I can live with this awful feeling. I know that you cannot promise anything but have you seen anyone with similar daily anxiety symptoms that have been helped by this or any other pranayama exercise? Thank you so much!

Get in touch with a good ayurvedic doctor , take medicine. After this you will need dhyan sadhana under an evolved yogi . Practice under direct guidance of a teacher , simple exercises like deep breathing and all you can do on your own , simple meditation You should not do evolved practices on your own, they have to be done right.
