Corey Taylor is an American singer, musician, songwriter and author. He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour.
On January 9th, 2021, Corey and longtime Bowie collaborator and pianist Mike Garson helped celebrate David Bowie’s life and legacy by performing a rendition of "Hang On To Yourself" with fellow musicians Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction, Taylor Hawkins from Foo Fighters, and Chris Chaney from Jane's Addiction as rock supergroup Ground Control for A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! Corey Taylor joined Matt to discuss the Bowie tribute, growing up listening to David Bowie, and much much more!

Another Slipknot album is coming. I say this because Corey has been saying that something big is coming soon and he said in a different interview that he's working on another mask and then him saying that he's doing another Slipknot album before doing CMFT 2. It actually makes sense for Slipknot to go ahead and put that seventh album out while they have the down time since it will be the final album on their Roadrunner deal. Why not just do it now and then anything they do afterwards could be done on their own. No more labels.
