Gentlemen, What has been described in the video is 95% correct, what's missing is, the folder you are creating the "Workarounds" in, is not "others", you should go for "NV40" just above it, and follow the same steps he just said and it will work indeed, for me I have Nvidia GTX 1060 and the number I used was "31408" and it's working perfectly, Thanks a lot for the Video
I tried it on Solidworks 2021 and it ALSO WORKS! The important part is THIS: You need to add the registry key at different places, depending on which graphics card you have. For "Intel" cards it appears you have to use the "Others" folder. For NVidia 10xx and 9xx cards it looks like NV40 works (mine works for GTX970) and for ATI 8xxx it looks like R420 works. I tried bot the DWORD "30008" and "31408" and both worked for me. Hope this helps you.
Thank you so much -- I happen to follow the directions in the "NV40" folder, and it worked. In my case, I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060/PCle/SSE2 card.
Firsty I had Lenovo " AMD Graphics R4 " Folder = R420 ,Key = "30008" Worked 2nd Time for Desktop "GeForce GT 710/PCIe/SSE2" Graphic Card ,Folder = NV40, Key = "31408" Worked . Thanks Man . You SAVED ME Twice.
Dude! I couldn't get this to work using tips from any other videos, but your first line concerning the correct folder and key for AMD Graphics card worked for me instantly. Thanks a lot!!!
You are the best Soldworks tutor. 2nd video I watched and your was easy to follow no needing to assume anything and in ten minutes I have realview not 1 hour and no realview.
Thanks a lot! I wanted to add that this feature really makes Solidworks fun and makes you see the aesthetics of a parts appearance before you produce it.
Thank you. This worked fine for me. I had to try it a couple of times but when I watched the video on my TV while changing the settings on my PC that helped. Thanks.
really great. Thanks it worked perfectly for me. I have windows running on mac as bootcamp with no graphics card installed. Thanks for your enlightenment.
Thanks for the video, My Graphic card is "AMD Radeon (TM) R2 Graphics". I did your process of adding folder and pasting the name on the "R420" NOT "Other", and it worked for me.
hello everybody i got a RTX2060 for 4 monitors i use in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2016\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Gl2Shaders\NV40\GeForce RTX 2060/PCIe/SSE2 Workaround = 30408 this information was given by Philippie cavalier in grabcad. It worked for me. Thankyou for the video.
I’m curious, what do the different combination of numbers represent when entering the hexadecimal code? For the record, this did indeed work for the computer I use at work I’m just curious
CAD CAM CAE TUTORIALS I understand, as I’ve tried a couple of them. But does one combination enhance the graphics more than another or are they just numbers for a specific graphics card
bro, its the procedure for Intel integrated graphics cards, so it should definitely work with your PC. I recommend to try another time. You might have committed some mistake.
I have 2019 solid works.. Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000. Even I tried many times I couldn't not get the result... When I had solid works 2013 it is being worked as per your video instructions plz help me out of this
I have solidworks 2016 as well, and if this video didn't work for you. i'm not gonna try anything just in case it decides to not work for me either. So i'll just have to wait until we can get an answer to it. it might be for 2016 specifically, but taking chances isn't necessary
This works for SW 2020, except place the new folder in NV40 as opposed to the "other" folder, also I used "31408" instead of the number he gave and I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Hope this helps someone
