I’m very interested in Elric but I haven’t prioritized it yet because I don’t own any yet. Really excited to hear what you think of it. Bring on the Moorcock jokes!!
I liked the Soldier Son trilogy. I'm currently reading Dark Age & Ships of Merior (Wurts). Savage Crown by Matt Wallace comes out next week & it goes to the top of the priority list. Beyond that will probably be an Alex Cross book or a paranormal fantasy or anything that is not 700 pages long. Love the thumb nail on this one!
Good to hear, Stewart! How are you enjoying Wurts thus far? I put Curse of the Mistwraith down last year at about 200 pages in, but really want to make that series a priority at some point.
I liked Curse of the Mistwraith- but it did take a bit to get into the world & used to the prose style. Ultimately, I was hooked on the characters & need to know what happens but it's not going to be a fast read.
This is why I have to stop the long series reads. I'd love to jump in on Elric but I just can't right now. Look forward to your feedback on it! I own all 3 volumes of the re-releases.
Elric is gonna kind of be at my own leisurely pace - I won’t be keeping up with the channel readalong on that one most likely, but I am looking forward to seeing what it’s all about. Johanna, Jordan (iWizard) and Josh (Red Fury) all seem to really be enjoying it, so that is a positive sign.
I'm looking forward to the Hobb discussions! I just finished the first Elric omnibus and definitely enjoy it. It's a major change of pace in a good way.
You and Johanna are my biggest motivations to try Elric, along with it being narrated by one of my favorite narrators of all time Samuel Roukin (he is the Sun Eater narrator.)
I hope you enjoy Elric! It's good to keep in mind that it's not a perfectly seamless through-line series narrative, which I think was on trend with many fantasy novellas or short stories at the time. I'm so excited for A Dance with Dragons!
@@BaldBookTuber we just kind of randomly decided one night on voice chat! Join us! Tori is already addicted and I haven’t started yet. Scrap Bakker! We’ll read it together this fall haha 😂
@@BaldBookTuber I've been thinking about rereading it a lot more lately but kept putting off because I've so many other series I want to start and have yet to continue but I pulled the trigger and the rest of the books be damned lol We're talking about a Top 5 Fantasy for me right here, so I had to be realistic about it lol
You’re not late. You’re making an entrance. 🎉 great list of books! Enjoy the reads.
Ha! Thanks Michelle! Hope you have an awesome reading month as well!
Enjoy your June reading. It has been an age since I read any Elric stories.
Thanks Jim! I hope you have a great reading month as well!
Yooo damn - stacked TBR. I’m looking at a lot of these for future TBRs, I hope you have a fantastic June!!!
Thanks man! Been really good so far!

Sam Roukin is doing the audio, which makes me want to push it up the priority list!

Wow what a packed month of heavy hitters you have planned! I’m about to hit up Ship of Destiny and Jade Legacy myself for my own set of heavy hitters!
Both exceptional my friend! Enjoy!

Thanks Johanna! I figured as much with Elric, but I appreciate the heads up. Can’t wait for more ASOIAF discussions with you and the crew!
Great TBR Scot! I’m planning to start Bakker in July. I’m curious to hear what you think of Hobb with non-ROTE stuff.
Good news sir! Will be thrilled to have some Bakker discussions with you!
@@BaldBookTuber me too!
Bakker!
Thought you might like that one, my friend. I should have read it with you last year - missed opportunity.
Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Bakker!
Thanks Mads! I probably would have put it off a bit more if I had known you and Tori were starting LPQ - really excited to hear your thoughts there!

We’ll see. Haha.
As much as I love Second Apocalypse, LPQ is also spectacular, in a very different way
I still need to re-read part of and finish the rest of Dagger and Coin - too much stuff!
I put everything else I've been reading on pause in favour of a First Law and Gates of Fire re-read.
First Law taking precedence pleases me greatly. I hope you love it as much as I do!

For sure! I did a full re-read in prep for The Wisdom of Crowds - one of my favorite reading experiences ever, as it is my #3 series.
