Saw a really moving documentary about him when I was younger about how he lost his arm (car crash) seatbelt took it off. Fucking awful but the band never even considered replacing him
Last time I saw MC, Vince was way too messed up. Couldn’t remember the lyrics. And when he could, he was always behind the band catching up. Disappointing since I saw them way many years before that and they were great.
Great to see a young woman rocking out to this song! As a British child of the 70s and teen of the 80s, this was part of my musical heritage and I'm proud of it! The 80s really were a brilliant decade to grow up in for music. This and "Animal" are my favourite Def Leppard tracks, although some people were critical of the more mainstream sound that the band went for with the album Hysteria, I don't care since I was never really a metal fan anyway, and most mainstream music of the 80s was much more varied and creative than it is today. As for cheesiness, I don't entirely agree. Sure, some songs of the 80s were cheesy even in their own time - just like some music of every decade - but a lot of what is now called 'cheesy' is just people being snobby after the event or patronising about times they don't even know anything about. Besides, fashions change. For example, some might say the innuendo of "Pour Some Sugar On Me", and "I'm hot, sticky and sweet", etc is cheesy or corny or whatever, but I much prefer that kind of fun, humorous sexual innuendo and wordplay than some blatant and unimaginative lyric like "I wanna f*** you" which is what most songs have these days.
Millie rockin out! 😎🤘🔥. (Man, the 80s were indeed so much fun! Not cheesy but just freakin fun; great rock, ridiculous fashion at times, & just awful automotive design lol. So many memories cruisin the strip on the weekends in my 1972 Barracuda! 😁
Produced by Mutt Lange. Written by him, Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage and the late Steve Clark. The Hysteria album was almost finished. Lange wanted 1 more song. Many of the members of Def Leppard took a break. But Joe Elliott strummed a pattern on guitar. Lange heard it and liked it! They, Collen, Savage and Clark wrote the remainder of the song. Singer Joe Elliott said Queen is a major influence. 1 We Will Rock You (produced by Roy Baker) influenced this song. 2 Guitarist Steve Clark died in Jan 1991. Freddie Mercury in Nov same year. Surviving members of Queen invited surviving members of Def Leppard to play at the Freddie Tribute. Queen guitarist Brian May presented DL to the Rock + Roll Hall of Fame. Vivian Campbell is from Northern Ireland. He replaced Clark. The other influence of this song is the Aerosmith version of Walk This Way. The drummer Rick Allen plays with only his right arm! 40 years ago, he lost his left arm in an accident. He thought about quitting but retaught himself! The 2nd chorus + outro of this song sounds almost the same as the bridge in Everything I Do I Do It for You sung by Bryan Adams. No copyright violation: Mutt Lange is the cowriter of both songs! The sung verses of PSSOM sound similar to Jukebox Hero written by Lou Gramm + Mick Jones. Mutt is the producer of all 3 songs! Suggested next video: Bryan Adams. Everything I Do I Do It for You. 🇨🇦 2 Def Leppard performs Animal. 3 The Cars perform Drive. 4 The Corrs perform Breathless. 5 Shania Twain sings Man I Feel Like a Woman.
Yeah. They were. Every era beforehand ends up “being cheesy”. Dirty hippies of the ‘60s, cheesy! Disco freaks of the ‘70’s. cheesy! The Glam rock hair bands of the ‘80’s, cheesy! The over-emo grunge groups, and soft techno’s of the ‘90’s, cheesy.
I love your reaction, def Leppard has been together since 1977, it's 2024, they're newest record was 2022, they've sold more than 100 million records, so not just a 80's band, although i didn't become a fan until the 1981 album " High and dry" , i just saw them play to 46,000 very happy faans, i was one of the biggest in my opinion!
I missed seeing them live in the early eighties. They were opening for Billy Squier at the time. They blew up on MTV and started touring as a headline act. Ratt opened for Billy instead.
I saw this tour. It was my first actual rock concert. Laser show was epic at that time. Definitely more of a "Me and My Wine, Foolin, Photograph" era fan.
The New Wave of British Heavy Metal originated in the mid-70s, but it reached mainstream success in the early to mid-80s. So Def Leppard fits the bill chronologically: They formed in the mid-70s and found success in the 80s. They themselves don't identify with the label though, they claim to be more in the tradition of Queen and other 70s acts like T Rex. Either way they were marketed under and perceived to belong to the NWOBHM label. Def Leppard's first two albums sound less lavishly produced and might give you an idea why they were lumped in with the rest of the NWOBHM crowd.
Def Leppard is one of the most successful commercial rock bands of all time. It started with their first hit single ' bringing on the heartache' . I highly recommend you watch the video....Thank you for your great reactions.. keep on singing my lady❤.....a sound engineer.. James Zrenjad Desjardins.
This is just a glorified expanded cover of the Archies' song 'Sugar Sugar' - if you hear them both back-to-back you can tell. I was at the band's second ever gig - the lighting they had then was just ONE stand with 12 lights on each side of the stage. There was barely 30 of us there.
I cannot believe the you watched this and totally missed the fact that the drummer does not have a left arm! He lost it in a car accident on 31 December 1984 but the rest of the band waited 2 years until he healed and learnt how to play again. You should PAY ATTENTION when you watch videos or you will miss things,
Man, it’s still sad Steve Clark was unable to get help and left us. I remember Campbell in Whitesnake back in the heyday of the 80’s, he seems like a great choice to have stepped in. Guess at this point he’s as much Leppard as any of the others. Sooooo many memories of Leppard songs on the radio while teenaging. Go back to early Leppard, they’ve always rocked, HARD.
Pour Some Sugar was a HUGE song in strip clubs. Probably got more play there than anywhere else. Millie will enjoy Cuts You Up by Peter Murphy and The Flame by Cheap Trick. The bass in Cuts is EPIC!!
HELLO,MILLIE !!! IF YOU LIKE DEF LEPPARD, LISTEN ’’ARMAGGEDON IT ’’,’’,HYSTERIA ’’,’’ANIMAL’’,’’WOMAN ’’,’’TOO LATE FOR LOVE ’’,’’DON’T LET GO’’,’’LOVE BITES’’,GODS OF WAR’’,’’RUN RIOT ’’,’’KING OF THE WORLD (2011) ..
Massive Def Leppard fan but this is the worst song they have ever done the album tracks like Wasted,Another Hit & Run,Die Hard The Hunter,Billy's Got A Gun,God's Of War,Desert Song & Fractured Love are miles better than this.
Props to Rick Allen, Def Leppard's one armed drummer!
Saw a really moving documentary about him when I was younger about how he lost his arm (car crash) seatbelt took it off. Fucking awful but the band never even considered replacing him
The 80's were fantastic.
Best one-armed drummer anywhere.
Saw Def Leppard with Motley Crue last year it was soo fun. They were having the best time
Last time I saw MC, Vince was way too messed up. Couldn’t remember the lyrics. And when he could, he was always behind the band catching up. Disappointing since I saw them way many years before that and they were great.
I'm actually in this video for half a millisecond. Standing on our seats in the very back up high. They said they were filming for a video.
Def Leppard are a great hard rock band that poured just enough pop sugar on themselves to expand their audience.
Great to see a young woman rocking out to this song! As a British child of the 70s and teen of the 80s, this was part of my musical heritage and I'm proud of it! It amazes that people watch this and don’t notice that the drummer has one arm.

Somebody hurry up and invent a time machine so Millie can go back and see these bands live
Saw them in ‘83 in Houston when Rick Allen had both of his arms still…..
And Pete Willis still in the band
I saw Def Leppard play to a crowd of about 12 people in Bradford circa 1977/8. They have done better since then.
My kids were singing this one day. Now all I hear is "Awesome sugar omelets!"
😂
80's weren't cheesy.
They were very cheesy, take off your rose tinted glasses
Overall the best decade for rock and roll. The 70s are a close 2nd.
Yeah.
Considering a generation that dresses up like video game and cartoon characters says it. I wouldn't take much offense 😂
I love this song. Your reaction to it was awesome🤘.

High N’ Dry!!!! Best Def Leopard song ever!!!
This is just a glorified expanded cover of the Archies' song 'Sugar Sugar' - if you hear them both back-to-back you can tell.

I saw Def Leppard on their first US tour. They opened up for the Scorpions and Judas Priest. It was awesome 🤘

Interesting because I never thought there was anything cheesy about Def Leppard.
Millie,
Photograph, Foolin, Rock of Ages, Rocket, Hysteria, Animal, and Women are some other really good ones by Def Leppard.
I don't normally comment on reactors' appearance, but Millie is extra stunning in this video. Also 80s rock bringing out a little more crazy! 😅
Your skin is absolutely perfect.
My mom got to see them on this tour in 88
Wow! Love ur rocker look!!! MUEY CALIENTE!
Def leppard é uma das maiores bandas do mundo !!!! Que banda monstraaaaa

Sexiest Millie has ever looked! WOW! And Def Leppard is the shit!
You are looking better every time I see YOU!!!!!!
She's gorgeous.
Pour Some Sugar was a HUGE song in strip clubs. Probably got more play there than anywhere else.

Why you so silly Millie? 😂
"Hysteria" next.
Looking good in this video, I must say.
You go girl, let your hair down
The 80s had the best cheese. No cheese will ever live up to it.
When I was in 7th grade when this song came out I called it my spaghetti song. I compared it to my mom's spaghetti which I considered perfect.
You should check out "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star (the Live version at Shoreline Amphitheatre). Btw, Def Leppard live for this tour was fantastic.
You might like some more of this song, check out the movie Cayote Ugly, here in youtube where they use this song with it.
You should look at the drummer Rick Allen only has one arm
Great band young lady
You're great Millie. That's all.
Hilarious_ so cute
The "one" and only "Thunder God" at his very best !
The sad thing is that most of these young reactors don't anything about Rick Allen.
Listen to their remix of Bringing on the Hearbreak.

Massive Def Leppard fan but this is the worst song they have ever done the album tracks like Wasted,Another Hit & Run,Die Hard The Hunter,Billy's Got A Gun,God's Of War,Desert Song & Fractured Love are miles better than this.
Ill take the "cheesy" 80s over auto tune and no talent today....
She is too busy screwing around to do a reaction to the music/video.
Def Leppard is not hard rock....
