no phones in 1996, and Bryan Adams is a Canadian Icon
There were cell phones and blackberries just not many and they didn't have cameras.
@@shawnjones4347didn’t have flashlights either. Those are cigarette lighters.
Keith Scott is the guitar player, criminally underrated & underappreciated.
This kid is an old soul! ‘No phone’ …yes that’s right ! Just present in the moment! Yeah those were the days! Thank you for doing this video! Emotional !
It's not only the music. The people lived more intensive. They felt more, they loved more, and they cared much more about each other , i guess
100%. Gen X for life.
I am 71 and I lived these great songs. Bryan Adams wrote some of the best love songs ever. You can tell he knows a woman’s love and how to say it back to her. ❤ Love your reactions.
That was a magical point in time for everyone there.
The 60s thru the 80s were a great time to live.
The bands had real talent and played their hearts out night after night.
Bands these days are nowhere near the caliber of musicians from the 60a thru the 80s.
That is just a fact so don't get mad I said that its the honest truth. I was there for all of it.
I am glad you have an understanding of how great those times were musically.
Glad you enjoyed it.
U bet we did! 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and small portion of 90’s music was the soundtrack of our lives! Bryan exploded onto the scene in the 80’s and I had the biggest crush on him! He’s a phenomenal guitar player too! 😎✌🏻
I sung this song to my wife during our wedding reception and twenty years later at our vow renewal.
One of our favorite songs ❤
I saw Bryan Adams open up for Journey in 1983, amazing concert. Graduated high school in 1981 and yes, great time to grow up.
I envy you so much. I never got to see Journey live with Perry still with them. (my favorite band of all time).
@@rockero1313 Journey was featuring the songs from the Frontiers album (just after Escape) and Bryan Adams Cut Like a Knife. Wish everyone could've been there. At least we have TH-cam videos.
I'm HS class of '82. Saw the same show in SoCal. I can't remember where though. Could have been the LA forum.
Love the comment not a single phone, we didn't have phones and I'm thankful. Such great music back then. From Massachusetts and remember hearing Aerosmith playing at the Westboro Speedway from my house Aerosmith was from Mass and this was before they became big. Saw Bob Seger, Springsteen, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Allman Brothers, Outlaws (sweatbox Cap Cod Coliseum), Bryan Adams, Jimmy Buffett, and so much more. Don't like being older but wouldn't trade it for anything.
Best part is that Bryan Adams sounds exactly the same today.
and he still looks so damn handsome at 64
i saw him live in norway this summer and yes , he sounds the same :D one of the best concerts iv been to :D
Millie you are spot on with your analysis of the quality of music then vs now. Agree 100%.😊😊😊😊
Missing our youths life with 80s with music........
I’m one of those old guys 😊 who was in my early twenties in the eighties and got to witness all these great bands during that time. If you ever find that time machine to back and see these bands live, take me with you 😊 You seem like you’d enjoy it as much as I did and you’d be so much fun! Keep up the good work. ✌️
From the “Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves” soundtrack
🇨🇦I saw Bryan Adam’s in concert in my hometown last year and his vocals were incredible! Great reaction ❤ Must watch “All for love” Bryan Adams, Sting and Rod Stewart.
Really enjoy your reactions Millie, keep up the great work! God bless.
'Run To You" would be a great next Bryan Adams song.
totally
One of my favorite artists from the 90s. One hell of a song.
Your watching greatness that will never be again............great Canadian Rocker......his ballots are in heaven.....lovin it from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
This song was the biggest hit in UK music history when it was out in the 90’s. Bryan does have some great uptempo rock songs too.
*He still holds the record for being Number 1 for 16 consecutive weeks in the U.K. [ in 1991 ] with this song.* ⬅️
80's and 90's you could walk into any party, jump into any car, kiss any girl, wear anything, go anywhere and leave your door unlocked without a care! It was awesome!
Cuts like a knife put him on the must listen list for me. It was played on MTV alot!!! Love it.
You are ABSOLUTELY right......!!
I just saw him recently and he still puts on a great show.
I worked in a little movie theater in Edmond Oklhaoma, US. I would wait till the end of this movie and go clean up that theater, just to hear this song, all by myself!!!
!Bryan Adams is oooooo underrated!!!!!
There is a video of Bryan performing "Heaven" at this same concert and for the first minute of the song the audience serenades Bryan and His band. It is epic.
Great reaction! He has so many good songs!
I had the privilege of going to see Bryan in concert last summer and experiencing this song live & all his other hits was the ultimately emotional experience❣️😌😍🥰
I saw Bryan when he opened for Journey in 1983 on his "Cuts Like A Knife" tour. His videos were playing on MTV in regular rotation, I had that album as well.
I envy you so much. I never got to see Journey live with Perry still with them. (my favorite band of all time).
@@rockero1313 I wish I could've seen them when Greg Rolle was still in the band. He left in 1980.
Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Sting - All For Love More great music from that era.
Straight From The Heart (live version)
Went to a Bryan Sdams concert in Vienna some 10 years ago: he performed 2 hours, had fun and the crowd knew all the lyrics of the songs (including me, even though I was not a hardcore fan). But he had so many hits and I just happened to know all the lyrics (for whatever reason). It was a great evening. Bryan Adams is an underrated artist.
I saw him on his Reckless and Into the Fire tours in the 80's in Houston, Texas!!! Just awesome!!!
I was in high school in the late 60s and in college in the early 70s. Best of times for great music.
Being a musician at that time and enjoying and seeing the 80's had a the best time
Millie, please search Bryan Adams tour dates. He’s in Europe most of the year. I saw him recently in Phoenix Arizona, and he still sounds and performs the same. Believe me he is amazing. Best show ever. I saw several dates in Spain this year. Find a way to make it happen.
I love seeing you on TH-cam, you are special ❤
This brings back some memories. Saw a lot of young teen couples dance to this at the youth disco when I was a DJ there.
Another popular one here at the time was Fading like a flower by Roxette
I still use a bic lighter at concerts. I leave my phone in the car.
As a Gen X, I grew up listening to Brian Adams, Phi Collins, Richard Marx, and Dan Hill.
We played this song at our wedding in 1995.
Never gets old❤
"Run to You" (my favorite)
"This Time"
"It's Only Love" with Tina Turner
"Have you ever Really Loved a Woman" (my favorite ballad)
"Do I have to Say the Word"
Bryan Adams was at the peak of his success with this song “Everything I Do, I Do it For You “. From the Kevin Costner movie soundtrack Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. The song is probably the best thing about the movie. Costner was a serious mis-cast.
Bryan was one of those artists from the 1980’s whose music had a real rock 🪨 feel. But when the Grunge music scene began in the early nineties with bands like Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, and of cause Nirvana. He wasn’t getting heard on radio. And in those days radio was king, if you didn’t get radio play. You didn’t get heard. So he went to the next big thing, movie soundtracks. Everyone used to go to movies back in those days. Even line up to see the latest blockbuster movie from Hollywood at their local multiplex cinema 🎦. So movie soundtracks became famous and Bryan Adams was able to have another mega hit with this song.
Went to see Heart in Toronto in the 70's and they introduced him as the lead act before Heart . Was great .
I love the song so much. I play this song over and over again.. always bring a new meaning to me... thanks for your reaction. 🥰
Cuts like a knife was my intro. Thanks for the memories
Saw him live, epic! '75 to '86 was my favourite period for music
"Have you ever really loved a woman" written for the film "Don Juan de Marco" by Bryan Adams and others is another beautiful ballad.
I was 36 then but Bryan Adams took me home always, so brilliant. I lived in Liverpool then. What an amazing singer he is!!!!!!!!!
The peak of great music
Saw Bryan Adams in 1986 in Philly & it was a last minute decision that i was really glad I took! Great concert, alot of fun back then. Different vibe then today's shows.
Hello 👋 Miss Millie !!! Warmest regards from the Sunshine 🌞 state of Florida the USA 🇺🇸 our Independence Day the 4 th of July !!! I wish to offer you one of the most Beautiful Vocalists singing one of your Greatest Composers Ennio Morricone ( Mrs Patricia Janeckova's )
C ' era Una Voltail West ( No lyrics ) or ( Rusalka with Lyrics ) Song to the ☽ moon As always the like button 🔳 has been Illuminated s 🤒 👍
Run To You is still my fav.
This era has truly amazing BAdams songs
At 74 I got to live the great music. But, we willingly will them to you.
He has a large catalogue. Was a big star back in the day. He's a Canadian and we love him in Canada.Summer of 69, The First Cut is The Deepest, Have You Ever Loved a Woman to name just a few.
Beautiful song
It’s the extended version, first time I saw the original music video was after the movie credits
You had a great reaction to this song. Awesome.
Everything about the Music Business is so different today than it was then, Concerts had a Different feel, going to a concert in the 70's-80's was almost Magical!, there is some great music out in the world today, but you have to dig for it, it's gone underground.
Little lady holding a torch phone is a hell of a lot easier than holding a lighter those little bastards got hot burning your thumb LOL this was our prom song in High School
..my daughter says the same thing… we had it the best… ❤❤❤
@MillieMochiTunes i saw Brian in a show in Belgium (middelkerke) no autotune here 😁 he has a great raspy natural voice
he was also very entertaining with jokes, he even learned some belgian words, i enjoyed every minute of his concert
did you know Millie, that this song was the lead song in the Robin Hood prince of thieves soundtrack with Kevin Costner
also a beatiful movie, and naturally with a great soundtrack
Another great Bryan Adams song is Run to you
mine too. that whole album is amazing
You know its true. Everything i do. I do it for Millie. ❤
"It's not the Years, it's the Mileage"...
Bryan Adams is one of the greats, he gave us so many fabulous songs. Millie, I'm also a bassist and you're right, this one has a really sweet bass line. Another great "bass song" that I would turn you on to is John Mellencamp's cover of "WILD NIGHT" th-cam.com/video/1nPPRQeTxTY/w-d-xo.html. So good, it's hard to listen to it without holding your bass. And yes, we old timers know now just how blessed we were. If I ever get a time machine, I'll look you up and take you back for a tour of the good ol' days. Until then, we have the videos, right? ;)
Great reaction. Beautiful lady you are btw. Other songs are Cuts Like A Knife and The Best Was Yet To Come that I recommend you reacting to also. Thanks
The studio version is even better
About those years and music, I won't say I had the best, music taste is very subjective, but I know I've been very lucky.
Muy buena canción lde los 80
This song is also part of the soundtrack of the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) with Kevin Costner.
Nice. i am Dire straits fan but i higly recommend Uriah Heep - Sunrise, Why ( extended ) , Look at yourself or Easy livin. Great vocal, bass, drums. But version from 70 or new era with other vocal
Bryan Adams helped write and I pretty sure helped produce the 1985 Canadian African famine relief song. It's called Tears are not enough and the Canadian Super star vocalist of the time period called themselves Northern Lights. Hope you check this one out. You'd be Silly not to, lol
Deservedly at No. 1 in the British charts for 16 weeks!
Bryan's duet with Mel C is worth a listen... "When You're Gone".
A great talent
This was the main theme for the film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves", which I would highly suggest you react to. It is an excellent film.
Do you realise how perfect you are,, inside and out Millie 🌹🏴
Millie is transforming,ulala.
From the movie, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Next : Tina Turner and Bryan Adams with It's Only Love ?
Now, they won't let you in the venue with a lighter, and most of the audience is experiencing the concert through their phone screens. It used to be when we went to see the band it was about being in the moment and living the experience.
If you want to see the movie this song was written for then Watch "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves". This concert was back before everyone had cellphones. Back before cellphones, people used to hold up lighters.
Great classic, great theme for love 😉
Heaven 1996 live, same gig.
🇨🇦 IMHO the Best music written, sung, played in the last Century, was performed between 1959 to 1989 !
#BoomersRock 🇨🇦
This song is the official soundtrack for the movie Robin Hood : Prince Of Thieves. A fun movie you should react to.
Another world famous Adams Song is „Summer of ‘69” (and allegedly it’s not about the year…(!))
You look STUNNING!
I’m really gonna make you jealous now I saw Bryan Adams opening up for journey here in New Orleans. It’s called the dead rock ‘n’ roll Bryan Adams, lover boy, Hometown band called zebra, and then journey finish tonight.
For a live performance, check out Queen Live Aid.
70s, 80s and 90s, !!!
Millie, you are the prettiest reactor I watch, and I love your appreciation of music -- I'm. A musician. I live in SE Asia, I can't send money, I'm sorry. But if you find time can you do Parliment Funkadelic "Maggot Brain.," or "Mother Ship" live in Houston. The guitar work is insane. Thanks. ❤❤❤❤
This song from the Prince of Thieves movie was a nuclear-sized hit back in the day here in the UK. It was no.1 in the UK charts for something like 16 weeks, I think it might still be in the Guinness books for being a record time.
Just an FYI. When people call out the Eagles/Don Henley for copyright strikes they ALWAYS mention Brian Adams. They both love to copyright strike TH-cam channels.
Try “Summer if 69”, “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started”, “Cuts Like A Knife” and “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You”, and maybe “Diana” which was written about Princess Diana.
Excellent
Great Canadian artist. Try Summer of 69, Run to You, Cuts like a knife
Many memories on this one...
You should try from him : "Have you ever loved a woman ?"
You'll love it
From the very beginning Adams latched onto the most underrated guitarist, Keith Scott. Nothing flashy, but everything is played with true felt heart and soul.
this song spent 16 weeks at no1 in the uk charts
