What Did We Buy At The Hershey AACA Fall Swap Meet??

  • Every year at Hershey we seem to bring back almost as much as we brought to sell, and this year was no different. A local gentleman has been cleaning out his dad's estate since last Hershey and discovered a truck load of 1932 Ford parts. He decided he wanted it all gone in one shot and offered it to Matt. So Tuesday morning at 9am, before the tent was set up, Matt made his first purchase of 2021 Hershey.....it was down hill from there.

Met you at Carlyle. Told you I was your number one fan (true!) and then promptly mixed up Kate and Allie. I felt so stupid. But, I am older and my memory is giving me some difficulty. In fact, I have to write everything down! I used to keep all my appointments and a host of details in my head. I can no longer do that. I am still your biggest fan!

Love that as traditional hot rodders you end up buying so many stock fenders, which were usually the first thing thrown away back in the day 🙂 that taillight looks like ‘57-‘58 Cadillac - just a guess though.

The thing that Mike said looked like a friction shock is a 1932 Ford 4 cyl vibration damper. It mounts on the firewall.

Some absolutely amazing stuff that you guys can find over there in the US. I very much enjoyed watching the vid and hearing the stories behind all the different parts, how rare they are to find and in particular what to look for. I learnt something new... The greyhound hood accessory for 32 Ford.... tail attached & not attached. :)😁

Hoping one day to make it down with my 73 year old dad to check it out. The border being closed as really screwed things up. I started going to swap meets with him back in the mid 90s when I was only 12 years old. We used to hit up the Barrie Automotive Flea Market when it took up 5 farmers fields. Love this kind of thing!!!

Funny my dad was a Ford fan we moved out to the country away from the city.. he got into junking and I learned to drive in a 46 Ford v8 flat head pick up .. he turned it into a wrecker and we would pick up junk cars and stuff and the boom was home made flatened 3 inch. Pipe and we used a chain fall to get the cars off the ground.. that old Ford was only 14 years old and here I am driving a 22 year old Dakota.. gas was 33 cents a gallon back in those days.. early 60s

Great video thanks. I have always wanted to travel to both Hershey & Carlisle but it is a bit of mileage from Florida. BUT 2022 I will give it a go because simply whining about it is stupid. Your warehouse has so GREAT looking "stuff" and it seems to be adding up. To me your place is beginning to look like DisneyWorld. Thanks for another great video and the PUSH I needed to plan my trip to Hershey & Carlisle.

We sell items at market value. It’s not like we’re the only ones charging that price. If you don’t like the price that this stuff costs then you need to go find the stuff for cheap. The Convenience of buying from your couch off the Internet costs money…

    Interesting fact.
The term pick-up truck was coined because Ford would ship their trucks to rural areas disassembled in crates the buyer could pick up at railroad terminals with a hay wagon or other convaence and put together themselves.
That was before there was a true dealership system and roads in rural areas were little more than farm paths for horse and buggies.
