Thanks for the video. Our 2018 starter was acting up. Ironically our 2004 titan starter went bad a month ago. The 2018 was a little quicker to do. A little different between the two trucks, but watching your video gave me the key points. Thank you good sir!
@@andreworozco6976 I mentioned in the description that I was only showing disassembly, but this guy did the opposite and has a great re-assembly video: th-cam.com/video/MQ8RtPcQhiA/w-d-xo.html I don’t remember what was going on that day, but there was a reason that I wasn’t putting the starter back in immediately to finish filming. Overall, reassembly is pretty easy.
Thanks for the detail video, really appreciate it. Hard to find videos on this truck(2nd gen Titan). What starter replacement brand did you go with? Amazon or your local automotive store (Autozone, Oreilly and/or NAPA). Appears that Amazon have the lowest price on these starters compared to local automotive store. Wonder if there is a quality difference.
@ those engineers of Nissan needs to do some services on stuff they design so they can understand what a pain it is to get to those 2 bolts behind the starter.
@ yeah - they’re tough. Once I got the right combination of sockets and swivels it was a lot easier. Be sure and check the description of this video to find the re-assembly video. Lastly, I was shocked when I saw Autozone prices were almost matching dealer for the starter. Insane.
My 2017 has 163k miles. Has been clicking no start pretty regularly. I ordered a new one from Amazon for $90. Do you know if these cheap starters are any good? AutoZone was over $500. Thank you btw.
