I'm glad the Veldt got a revisit, it's a pretty good rifle considering its low usage, obviously it's not going to be 1-shotting all the way to level cap but seeing it do pretty solid damage in Steel Path is great to see, now we just need a Prime variant of it that gives it 30% CC, 3x CM and 30% SC. I'd like to see the Argonak get a video as well, I love its design since it's one of the few Grineer weapons that looks well made unlike some of the other ones that look like they're 1 faulty round away from exploding, plus I think its stats are pretty nice too.
I'm legit not sure which faction has weapons that look more reliable, Warframe Grineer or WH40K Orks. Given the choice though I'd rather take a Supra Vandal or a Bolt Carbine over the vast majority of Grineer or Ork ranged weaponry.
@@jacoblansman8147 True there, The Orks most likely use their collective beliefs thing to ensure their weapons work reliably, the Grineer's weapons range from "Yeah I could see that working" in the case of the Karak, Argonak (With some changes) and the Quartakk (possible since multi barrel guns have been prototyped in the past) to "How on earth does this thing even chamber" in the case of the Hek, Hind and Grakata. @@lucasfraczek4320 I would absolutely love a Kuva Argonak, although I'd want it to have a unique quirk to it, sacrifice one of the fire modes (arguments could be made for either mode going) and give it a different secondary mode, maybe a flamethrower, or a shotgun mode, something that can make it a bit different to "Oh let's give it an extra 10% CC, 5% more SC, take a quarter of the magazine and half it's reload time" those weapons still work but it's nice for some variety.
@@azurehorizon6097 Wouldn't that change the entire weapon?, at that point they would have to change the core design of the weapon to make it have any sense, also could simply be Kuva Ignis
my beloved hope if we ever get a veldt prime they keep the sound the same also its base damage total is the exact same as the latron prime, but higher slash
I did miss you! My morning coffee was not the same. I remembered this being a nice, snappy feeling rifle, but that the Tiberon Prime completely eclipsed it. So I went and checked, and yeah, they released a month apart, Tiberon P first. That's why I never really used the Veldt, even back in the day. Of course, they also have wildly different Mastery requirements, but that never matters if you're already over a weapons Mastery requirement when it releases. But we didn't have the "Semi-*" series of mods back then, which might have changed things a bit.
Argonak. You can use the amalgam mod or dont, wont chsnge the effectiveness much. It reminds me of the Zenith with how it works. It has an auto rifle alt fire, with a semi primary with different zoom functions. And one of the modes marks enemies in red which does something with the gun! Its awesome! I may or may not have spent 7 forma and a god roll riven on mine. 😅
Thank you for doing a build or 2 with the Veldt. I've been wanting to see what you would do with a simple but fun weapon like this. As always, such a fun video.
Hello my youtube man, welcome back. Now that youve tried something simple, would you like to try something fun. Maybe a silly blast build? Im calling the build, Gunpowder Spray Onos. The charging 777 amp spray covers enemies in blast procs then the laser detonates them all at once deleting entire groups
A fun build you may be curious to try is fists or hammers with Melee Afflictions. If you use something like the Furax incarnon with the slash on impact proc, you can make it stack up 6 slash procs on a single hit, which many of those stances have forced impact procs.
The last time I played it was also around your quick look video. Until last Friday where it appeared in Elite Deep Archimedea and I ended up being pleasantly surprised with how well it did. Although I can say that Toxic Lash helped it quite a bit.
I hope and pray DE does something to amp this weapon. It has potential when you build it around Deadhead. Which I guess you could say about every weapon with some degree of high level potential
You could also go for a similar build but change the elements to an Electro-Boom setup so you also make an AoE weapon out of Veldt, combined with the punch through from Cannonade. If you have an armor stripping warframe, almost any weapon with good status chance and Electric Blast combo it's a good beginner-midgame setup that easily carries you to Steel Path and beyond.
Absolutely hated this rifle when it came out, then forgot about it until they added the auto semi trigger setting in the options. It had wierd problems with its fire rate at release, like it would fire but have much too long of a delay before being fired again, like the game would only register every other trigger pull.
With the settings allowing semi-auto weapons to be fired like they’re full auto, cannonade mods veldt better than DPS-wise than having to mash the fire button like your life depends on it.
With the new accessibility changes for semi-auto weapons, I might actually give this one another shot. I dropped it because it was just another semi-auto single-target weapons among a sea of semi-auto single-target weapons.
The Veldt is one of those weapons I'm experimenting with a Galvanized Scope + Aptitude build, since the stats aren't too skewed to either crit or status. Still need to work with it some more. Trying it on other weapons like the Argonak and Zenith too. Need to see if it's good enough overall.
good revisit but I notice you often overuse base damage mods, for a hitscan weapon the diminishing returns of deadhead+cannonade+galv Co means your losing alot of other utility like fire rate or more elements etc. Just food for thought.
Truly a rifle of all time
Correct
Somehow I still thought the Veldt was a sniper rifle.
I thought veldt was plix older brother ngl
You not the only one

IN ABSOLUTE FAIRNESS....
Usually when blessings roll in i'm in the middle of other screens, so it's like 'broi can't hit the butto nsorry'
I remember the Veldt very fondly when I first started the game, it definitely helped me in my baby-tenno days.

Literally just finished building this and here’s a build video for it. Thank you MC!
I always miss the most Gentlemenly Gentlemen. I love your videos. I made a very close copy to your Epitath Prime and mmmmmm chef's kiss.
This probably becomes even more fun with the semi auto hold to fire setting. Will definitely have to give it a try.

the return of the king
A very relaxing and not too stressful weapon can be nice sometimes, thanks for the helpful video MC!
Yes I missed you glad to have you back
I have a crit damage + fire damage + mag penalty riven for this thing
+13x crit. The slash procs are the most insane thing I've seen
I binged the "Give It a Shot" series while you were gone. It made me use Falcor.
I used Veldt on a Circuit run the other day, and this thing is also REALLY helped by the auto-trigger accessibility option and some rate-of-fire mods
I'd like to see Tiberon or Tenora next

I was JUST this afternoon thinking man, wouldn't it be cool if you did a video on the veldt - one of the best feeling weapons in the game!
The veldt is indeed a gun that shoots projectiles.
The last time I played it was also around your quick look video. Until last Friday where it appeared in Elite Deep Archimedea and I ended up being pleasantly surprised with how well it did. Although I can say that Toxic Lash helped it quite a bit.
Simple weapon, but a fun weapon. A weapon I want to see return with the fun new mods is the Akstiletto Prime. An old favorite back in the day.
veldt is a wordle killer
Veldt my beloved!

It's a Tenno weapon, so it can Guandao its way up with the Prime.
Nothing to do with the video but Czech is one of my favorite languages ever. It's such a beautiful sounding language, like Polish with a rate limiter.
Jorts are the peak of humanity
finally a revisit of my favourite weapon
One of the most satisfying rifles to shoot
Return of the king
Try out Frostbite when you run a companion with cold and "shivering contagion". It works so well together.
YIPPPPEEEEEE THE KING HAS RETURNED 🎉
Yes, we did miss you. But I hope you enjoyed the time off.
Such a cool gun. That said I haven't used it in a very long time. I always felt like the double-shot rifles were more fun but still decent.
Also, Veldt is pronounced Felt - its based on what I understand to be a dutch/Afrikaans word. As a south african, -the V is prnounced like an F.

Yay Uncle Hellmanz is back!

Ah yes the rifle with a dumb alt fire
Just a zoom mod
I wish we could get a Veldt Prime or something similar someday
I don't know why but I luv this rifle. It feels good and sounds great. I have 3 God roll rivens.
I am (once again) asking for a re-review of the Euphona Prime...
We need a Veldt prime
I keep getting Rivens for this thing. Might as well give it a shot.
Tenora Prime is another good gun
will we ever see warframe builds alongside the weapons just some for fun builds would be nice
Sir I remember, you really enjoyed grinlok. Why not revisit it now?
Hope it was a good trip!
