It's like Chinese investors hoped it would be a transport hub. And by the way, a new airport never attracts more travellers. They just use the airport to get to their destination. 3 months after the opening, there has been no surge in arrivals. I guess the future looked much more promising in 2014. Nobody could foresee the pandemic and the kind of recession that followed.
