Scrap Toner Cartridges good to sell

- Picking up e-waste gets you all kinds of things and toner cartridges are very common, many times new in box because people often are left with them after they dispose of a broken down printer.
They sell great! to get rid of them quickly I list them for less than anyone else and for example, 2 HP toners sold in the first day, another sold next day so it's a great cash flow for scrappers to balance out what we scrap for cash and what we get from sale items.
Another great video, Ben! Very good information for those of us that recycle e-waste.

I've also seen people selling used OEM virgin toners on ebay. Left your video a like.

Do you agree with those who say new toner and ink cartridges never expire?
When you pick up from businesses do you pay them?
I just came across quite a few toners in a similar fashion but are expired. Ive been reading that they degrade with time. Is that a concern for you when listing on ebay?

Hi Ben, what do you do with all the plastic you accumulate over time? I imagine it to be too much for normal household waste, a t least in Europe you would have to actually pay for huge amounts of plastic waste.
I changed what I scrap to limit plastic, printers mostly, I leave them complete now and don't have much plastic left over aside from keyboards, but I can drop off small loads to my board buyer for free, I just use his dumpster
how to do they give you any $ for junk carter ages? Ebay sales are tricky , I think the last one I sold for $25 you almost have to sell them as is for parts unless you might get it back and have to pay shipping. Thank you
Have you ever come across something you refused to take or is there ewaste that you know of that contains hazardous material to watch out for.
I don't take bulk batteries because it needs a permit to transport large qty's, aside from that I take it all.
some things like smoke alarms heating thermostat switches & fluorescent lights have mercury so they just get passed on to the proper recycler.
I wont take used printer cartridges but i still get loads as they always leave them in the machines I tear down. In the UK its a pain recyling them as the powder ones are toxic and only certain places will take them for recyling. Love to get more new boxed Ben but they are a rarity for me :-(
