The Dr. hasn't had a 'love interest' since Rose. Yeah, he's had a companion who was in love with HIM, but he didn't feel the same way. With Donna and Amy, it was a deep friendship. Although Amy was a little lusty after him, both she and the Dr. knew she was REALLY in love with Rory. I'd love to see him really be in love with his companion and how this new Dr. would handle it.
I love Jenna-Louise Coleman and I found out she is going to be on Doctor Who. So I decided to see what this whole show was about. So after my initial shock thAT THIS SHOW IS HALF A CENTURY OLD. I gradually tried to watch all the seasons (new and old) and at the beginning I really could not believe the Doctor was married! 11 just looks like someone who would tie down. I still kind if believe that, but I'm curious to see we're this show is going to take off with Clara even though I miss the Ponds.

I think it's a shame when we don't get to get to experience a "regular adventure" with the doctor and the companion(s) and just see their relationship build, but rather are thrust into a constantly pushing plot. Overarching plots are fine, but sometimes they need to take a step back.
Isn't that how we all start off? Someone new comes in to the show then they slowly grow on us? I know that happened with the transition from David Tennant to Matt Smith

River could not tell amy and rory cause that would fuck up the remaining fixed points of rivers past. Well no, because the core was highly unstable when river did her upload so that everyone else could be downloaded, basically when river uploaded herself to the unstable core, everyone else was downloaded back, thus destroying her body in the process, however i will tell you even if they could save River the doctor can't go back in his personal timeline

Clara became more intelligence after her experience of being uploaded, thus able to hack the computer system
so how did the doctor manage to bring back all the ppl the library had saved in its data core? how did they manage to be saved for 100years and then brought back to reality? so if it can be done for them, how came it can't be done for river? what is the difference.. river was also downloads along with her crew.. where were all the bodies of the thousands of ppl the library saves, how did they survive so long in a library of the Vashta Nerada? think about it?

Right before the oldest doctor leaves he is sad and tearing up, you here River referring back to this in the Library. If the Doctor, one of the most confident men in the universe, knew he could save River and come back to get her, Why would he be crying at their last romantic meeting before her death?

most ppl don't write the scripts and it isn't up to them.. besides how does that effect how timelords/ladies regenerate? it is different for them all. the master used up his cycle and yet managed to get another set of regenerations. the doctor doesn't have much control over his generations, in his comments about wanting to be ginger. jenny stayed the same when she regenerated and river managed to control her dress size. river is quite something, even the tardis really likes her. think about it
you need to watch 'dont blink' - past, present, future mean nothing to the doctor, they are only numbers where things happened.. this made more complicated by each of them going in different directions... he 'knew' river as a baby - you will have to find out why in the spoilers... :D
