I'm afraid I priced my collection a little too high. It's my personal artwork and don't want to let it go for super cheap but I REALLY want my art work to circulate through the market space. Any ideas on re-pricing?
Sorry for the delay! Drop a few of them down and push those specific pieces. If you see a higher response rate, it might be worth repositioning the rest. But always make sure you have that healthy span of prices
Hey buddy, quick question. The Public Stage Sale Price on OpenSea, is that the price you should list for each individual NFT or is that for the whole collection if you're dropping a collection of 5, 000 or more?
Okay I have a question if the floor price is the lowest prices for any 1 nft in a collection of nfts.. and if every nft has traits and most of the time those traits want yield the same amount of eth as far as value. So do we price each nft by their traits or the floor price or in the middle of or what? And if the nft has say 10 traits all ranging from different eth prices the top traits being 1 eth and the bottom traits being .001 eth how do we price this particular nft. Do we go by the lowest trait price or half of what the lowest price of the trait is div8ded by floor price? Like I'm confused on how to prices these type nfts and should we never base an nft on the floor price unless it's the last nft wanted in that collection or is the floor price a good number to go from? I just don't know what numbers to go from basically I guess is my question. Thanks in advance for the help. I just have like over 50 nft I want to make sure I'm pricing right because I don't want to bring my reputation down or my name down by having wrong pricing or too big of a price gap. 🙏
Hi! Sorry if I sound a bit obtuse, but the question doesn't make a lot of sense. NFTs aren't a cash conversion device. They're unique digital objects that can be sold like anything in the real world. So if you're talking about getting into crypto, then you can buy any crypto you want using USD, just pay close attention to what you're buying - there are a lot of rug pulls out there. If that's not what you meant, then I'm sorry, I don't know what your question is.
Hi i need your help I just wanted to know About transaction from buyer i had a buyer he wanted to purchase my artworks as nfts before that i had no acout on open sea but i recently opened but he was unable to purchase my art i choosed polygon chain while the Prices are in Eth plz help me What can i do To sell my artwork i don't have money to pay gass fees before selling
Sorry for the delay! Gas is an unfortunate reality. There’s no way around it. But polygon is cheaper so that’s good. All I can say without seeing the details is that you should check every setting to make sure it’s right.
Trent - question - I am launching meme token along with an NFT collection of 50 dogs - the purpose is to use the NFTs to compensate my team, pay for marketing costs for the project and possible influencers. I want these NFTs to have a 12 month vesting period if possible. I assume I need to allocate some supply of my contract to this NFT collection - I was going to do 15% - I assume I need to set up a CPMM pool - do I need to fund that CPMM LP with sol? Also, on a CPMM you can set the transaction fee and the royalty - - for example I was going to set the transaction fees for the LP at 2$ and the royalty at 5% - does all of this sound logical to you - Can I buy an hour of your time for consulting?
Good question! It depends on a lot of factors. What are the utilities? Is there a link between the digital and physical versions? (I mean this next question innocently) how well known in the art world are you? I'd start by looking for similar projects, seeing how they price, and seeing if they actually sold anything.
@@TrentKennelly I decided to launch on Solana Blockchain with a small supply, less than 1.5k. Now I'm realizing that building a community is a challenge... plan to mint next July. For WL, I think in two groups, one with 400 people (max 3 NTF mint per wallet, maybe normal price), and another with 100 people (only 1 NFT mint for free or for a low price).
Hi. Why ppl would sell their nft at 10 bucks when you could literally have 200 as gas fee every transaction??? Would it be OK to start ethereum blockchain and pricing at 0.5? Bc, gas fee, commission, taxes, that doesn't let you much.
They do that because they’re lazy minting and trying to pass those gas fees along. .5 is fine but you always need to market strategically to bolster that position. Hope that helps!!
Haha fantastic! Remember it's a totality of the collection question - beyond the art, what does your NFT bring to the table? Utilities, etc. The whole package should be priced as a whole when it comes to each piece of the collection
Thank you kindly bro!!!!!! I said in my heart, my cat puts his face in the palm of my hand and lays down, he kept me out of jail. That's somewhere in the neighborhood of $9,000 USD at the moment. Sounds positive but it's hard to judge without more detail about you personally. Best of luck on the sale!

Thank you for video Trent. It was really well explained. I'm an artist and I'm about to do my first NFT collection which will be a collection of 10,000 on Opensea. Do you price based on the total projected sales of the entire collection or for each individual NFT in the collection? For ex $10 per NFT would be a projection of $100,000 etc...
Thanks for the video sir but I have a question. If you list an NFTs is it going to sell for the exact amount you listed it for or is it possible to sell high or lower than the price ?
I'm not sure I follow the question. If you sell shoes on amazon, you're going to sell them for the listed price. Of course, there's tax and shipping to consider. Likewise, there's gas and transaction fees to consider on a site like OpenSea. Is that what you mean?
@@TrentKennelly No sir, I mean if I list an item on opensea for $100 is it going to sell for that $100 or is it possible that the values of that item will increase to $200 or $300
@@emmanz22 it doesn’t rise organically. The price change happens because people are choosing to increase or decrease the price after they purchase the item. OpenSea doesn’t adjust your pricing for you. So, yes, it is possible, but only on the secondary market. Whatever you set as the price for your NFT is the price it will sell at
Great. I like to know if I have to upload/sell 1,000 NFT on opensea. I am still confused how much I have to pay opensea as Gas Fee. Your reply will be highly appreciated
You can lazy mint so it will be in a per-sale basis and will depend on the chosen blockchain, etc. But I think it’s important to understand that gas fees aren’t paid to OpenSea. That goes to the blockchain.
It’s better to have varied pricing in my opinion. That said, I’ve seen a uniform price work when there’s a Dutch auction in play (check my azuki video from last week for more details)
@Trent Kennelly You mean there's a chance buyers might not see my nft at a lower price as compared to my colleagues who set same nft at the exact floor price ?🤔
@@Am_dave I’m sorry I misread your question! I somehow read that you wanted to list it higher than the floor. Yes, lower is definitely possible. The advantage is that you now have the most visible piece up for sale in the collections. The disadvantage is that, in some circumstances, you’ll cause a race to the bottom and end up devaluing the collection (not in all cases, but it can happen, so stay wary)
