- You’ve spent MONTHS creating the artwork - getting each one absolutely perfect - you’ve built up a small following on social media, you’re super excited because launch day is finally here, your NFT collection goes up for sale…and no one buys. It’s absolutely crushing. Unfortunately, that’s the fate of almost 90% of NFT projects. Despite all the hype, VERY FEW projects sell out on launch day.
The GOOD news is that selling out an NFT project might not be as hard as you think. When you begin to understand that it’s not just about the artwork, but it’s mainly about two things: the marketing, and the utility. So I’m going to go through how you can sell out an NFT collection without having tens of thousands of followers on social media - because let’s face it - most of us don’t, right?

Thanks for the video.. have to admit, as an artist who has created a collection with randomly generated work and launched it, the idea of needing to create a community in a sea of "communities" feels like a drag. I feel like NFTs as a source of income for artists is pretty cool, but with a helluva big catch - you need to have a name for yourself already, or create something just totally unique and you then have to be really aggressive with marketing. Call me pessimistic, surely there must be something else buyers are looking for than yet another Discord server?
I guess it's the same with every type of business. It doesn't matter how good your product or service is if people don't know about you i.e. if you don't have a following, then you're not going to sell.
With most businesses there are two main components - the product, and the marketing. NFTs are no exception.
