I honestly thought after listening to this song that it was about the Holocaust and I think I’m right. “O Children” is a song that could be debated to tell the story of Jewish people during the Holocaust. It follows those at the camp as they watch their friends get sent off to the gas chambers and in the end, the narrator does too. This disgusting time is portrayed in an elaborate but simple way because the lyricist never explicitly explains that this is what this song is about, you must dive into the lyrics to best understand the premise of the song
@@weasleyka don’t claim a song for ‘harry potter’ because i do love the movies myself and am addicted to that whole world but a song that’s been so distinctively written about a tragic event in history that has scared many jews and their families should not be named as a ‘potter head song’ or ‘harry potter song’ because it had such a bigger meaning than that and it’s disrespectful for such a powerful song which tells the story of jewish children (who the majority were killed) during the holocaust. it pains me for this song to be now claimed as a ‘song about hogwarts’ ‘song for potterheads and they’re dreams to go to hogwarts’ as once again it is really disrespectful
someone needs to educate themselves, how embarrassing. whilst this song does go in tune with that terrible event, this song also has NOTHING to do with the jews, the whole point of it is that it doesn't have one and can be put with ANYTHING so pipe down and shut the fuck up @@emilyrose827

For all who don't get it. It's a song about the children in WW2, that were sent into 'camps' by trains not knowing where they were really going.
Love is the greatest magic of them all because it’s something that wizards and muggles can share together.
this song is not about love

They've hosed you down, you're good as new
And they're lining up to inspect you

We're all weeping now, weeping because
There ain't nothing we can do to protect you
