The Tiger? Overrated. Sorry but it's true. It lacks the ability to adapt to changing situations quickly. If your track goes out, or you're just in a bad position suddenly? Enjoy the Respawn screen. Slower loading gun makes it less efficient against infantry, you may say well it's great at killing armor, and sure, but why not use a tank that can do both? Like the IV. A lot of people say that, and while true, it doesn't really justify the fact that Japan let tank development and strategy completely stagnate after WW1. They did have the right idea for island-jungle based tanks, but their designs were also just bad. The American Stuart tanks were better armed and armored while still keeping great manouvrability and jungle performance. Even the Sherman did well in the jungle.

I suppose that's entirely fair, however in the game it is quite effective... I didn't mention it but in actuality The platform definitely wasn't perfect, from what I remember; the Maintenance down time, due to damage was a devastating set back to say the least. Especially since the tank was over engineered to be the Best a tank it could be... but with more components comes the statistic probability for more things to break. That being said. The Shell payload on this thing was unmatched by the majority of all other Factions in the war... Sureee... The Churchill Gun Carrier and The Pershing are arguably better Tanks (for Barrel projectile) in the same size category... But one's a joke and the other wasn't heavily supported by the Commanders in the war, so few where made... The Tiger has it's reputation, not purely based on opinion but by historical accounts. Regardless of it triggers you :) Hope that Helps Mart Regards Matteo
I completely understand you. Having this many stupid and unrealistic myths and hype around Tiger makes it unenjoyable even though tank itself is pretty good.
the type 97 when used with the ap rounds and hull cannon can be a beast, the combined damage of both cannons if used with a friend makes it viable for a ton of fun engagements
The Chi-Nu is slightly equal to the Sherman so I think it's fine as it is. They should've added more content for Japan rather than replacing something with something else instead.
18:46 A howitzer is a form of artillery meant for long ranges, that mostly fires high explosive shells, with its origins being somewhere arround the 17th century, them being heavier cannons that shot heavier shells, thus, they needed to fire their shells in an arc in order to negate shell dropoff. Its not 100% known who came up with the concept of a howitzer, but it started gaining alot of traction during the early 19th century. Also, the Type 97 chi ha's additional 37mm gun was not very real, as only the Chi-Ri had such hull cannon. 21:17 The Greyhound, Staghound & Puma are Recon Cars, not tanks. The reason most people & most games refer to them as tanks is due to the fact that they have armor plating, a 360° turret, an some sort of artillery gun, like an AT cannon. Tanks are armored, carry some sort of artillery cannon, be it recoilless, rifled, smoothbore etc. They use TRACKS as their locomotion, and have a 360° fully rotateable turret. Sorry i won't keep acting this nerdy
personally, i liked the medium tanks the most in this game, the heavies are just weak vs infantry and the light tanks can often get one shotted, the mediums are the perfect middle ground, decent for everything, and my favorites were the valentine and the japanese one because of their smaller size
Stoked! Finally got around to watching this and man did you carry the torch! As someone who doesn't actually know much about how vehicles operate IRL, it was great getting to hear/learn about all of the little facts and trivia amongst sharp writing, dry wit and top-notch breakdowns and gameplay. I happen to be one of the people that love the Valentine tank, I love it on both War Thunder and BF5. I would personally put it up there with the Panzer 4 as i have killed countless enemy Panzers, Pumas, Flakpanzers, and even Tigers. You don't even need the mine charges to be effective, because being a British tank, it excels at killing infantry and sniping at enemy tanks from medium to long range. Obviously, going up against a Tiger in it is a death sentence, but you can easily flank or catch one off guard, or even hit one at distance (even frontally) and effectively take it out by hitting it in the side armor or the engine. And for the Type 97, with the 75mm cannon, you can kill a Sherman frontally with 2-3 shots, so it's good at tank hunting and taking out infantry. As for the LVT and Ka-Mi tanks, why even bother using them for Anti-Tank in Bf5? They don't have enough survivability as infantry can be a bigger threat at times, so they serve better as Anti-Air and infantry killers on the Pacific Maps. You'd be surprised how effective the turrets are against planes especially since you can catch them off guard when they fly near you.
with 75%of the my 2000 hrs in this game and playing comp in this as well, the valentine is S tier easily, the apcr rounds can out DPS a tiger when hitting the tracks even if it isn't showing the weak spots without HEATT rounds it can our DPS a tiger, it's also amazing infantry killer, that really hurt my soul
The 120mm is real, its a submarine’s anti-shipping gun and was indeed installed in that tiny turret and the puma’s long barrel is a 50mm the stubby barrel is the 75 but it did have a tank destroyer design with an open top casement design fitting the long 75
Fun fact, the flakpanzer iv with the 37mm single barrel armament is called the Ostwind (Eastern Wind). Also (t) in any panzer 38 variant is not the company it is a German capture mark. This vehicle was initially developed by Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk (ČKD) as the Light Tank vz 38 (they also adopted a similar lt vz 35 as well) of Czechoslovakia before the nation came under German control. The light tank continued production as the Germans saw value in it for their operations first as a light tank and by 1942 as a chassis bed for various panzerjager (tank hunter) or sturmgeschutz (assault gun) vehicles. The type 97 chi-ha (type 1937 medium tank 3rd variant) started life with a short barrel 57mm gun. It had a late war variant with the 120mm short gun and was named as such Chi-Ha Short Gun. The Type 3 gun upgrade turns the chi-ha into a Type 3 Chi-Nu (Type 1943 medium tank 10th variant) and the type 5 upgrade turns it into a Type 4 Chi-To (Type 1944 medium tank 7th variant). If the 37 hull mounted gun would be mounted then it resembles the experimental Type 5 Chi Ri (Type 1945 Medium tank 9th variant).
@ Yeah you're not the first one to point that out... Oops... Anyways I'm going into hiding now, apparently a certain Czech Manufacturing company is now looking to arrest me for being a Dummy 😬
The type 5 upgrade is supposed to represent a chi-nu-kai because it doesn't change the turret, the hull canon upgrade is supposed to represent the shi-ki command tank
I had a funny bit about the Porsche... but... in fact Porsche didn't make this tank... so after I cut it, It really does just look that way doesn't it.... Well too late to change it... now we just have to live with it
The Panzer 4 is the best tank in the entire game. The Long 75’s flat trajectory and good damage combined with good mobility and survivability make it the most flexible tank in the entire game. The canister shot version is also really good on maps with lots of hills and an enemy team who is bad at tanking.
Funny thing you can do with the valentine is pick the mine clearers then you rush a tank in melee with it and unleash all the mineclearers to conpletely obliterate whatever is in front .
I’m glad 38t got the recognition it deserves. It’s same category as armored cars except the cross country mobility is even better thanks to it being tracked and the speed is pretty much the same.
@@druberguck4545 They tried to use existing 3d models as they can. For example Valentine AA is a fake tank. Only reason they added it is game already had Valentine. Same logic goes for Stug. Game doesnt have Panzer 3, so no Stug 3
The 76mm gave the German even footing with late panzer IV models, but the Tiger and the Panther were safe from regular rounds at the front, only special ammunition could penetrate them, but only at around half the range those two could destroy the sherman in turn. The panthers armor shape in particular seemed to be a problem for the gun.
18:42 howitzer is not a type of weapon but instead a classification. Different IDF (indirect fire) weapon systems are labeled under 3 things. Mortar, Howitzer, and Artillery. The difference being the arch of the projectile. So a 120 howitzer cannon is the millimeter classifier
6:45 M M4A4 used Chrysler A57 multibank engine and finally M4A6 used diesel Caterpillar D200A radial. Only M4A3 series tanks used Ford GAA engine. 19:45 Tank is basically Chi-Nu II using later Chi-To late turret. Tank prototype was actually build and uses later Chi-He chassis that is welded rather then bolted like in Chi-Ha. This can also be seen in Battlefield 5 when upgrading tank it basically changed Chi-ha to Chi-he and adding turret and gun to Chi-Nu II.
You're not wrong... But you're definitely not Right either. The Sherman Tank in BFV does not specify A certain Variant, and because of the numerous Customizable tree routes it can be interpolated accordingly what variant it would be. If I was professional I would cross reference the 3D model to be a stickler... But honestly I don't care that much, video is out. I was very General in the scripting, So in all honesty... Yeah it makes more sense that the Diesel would be the Vanilla engine and the Chrysler multi-bank would be the Engine upgrade... but the Ford was in the M4A3 variant. idk why you think it didn't exist. I cant make heads or tails on what you're trying to say with the Type 97
@@AsiagoMatteo Regarding Type-97 you said that turret only existed in Chi-TO when this isn't true. Tank with type-5 75mm in game is really close if not just copy of real world Japanese tank called Chi-Nu II. Chi-Nu II combined chassis of Chi-He(Chi-Nu) tank with turret and gun of Chi-To late. Also I never said Ford M4A3 didn't exist, when it was only tank that used Ford GAA. I just said that tanks M4A4 and M4A6 don't use Ford GAA.
I don't know why people keep saying this but it is (as far as Wikipedia says) Incorrect they definitely did use the Panzer IV chassis... If you look at the Chassis shape PIV vs PIII... The rear portion is squared as opposed to rounded... Hope this helps :)

The Panzer 4 is defenetly S-Tier. It has the shotgun shells which are whey to overpowered against infantry. It also comes with the spotting flairs and a pretty good main cannon. It also has quite good health. The anti tank variant you showed is not a good choice. The valentine has the shotgun shells too.
What? nuh uhhh... The Anti-Tank side is good. I actually wanna win Tank fights, Industrial grade Buckshot is barely gonna even scratch the Enemy's hull
Churchill Crocodile has an extremely fast muzzle velocity with its standard HE shells that is much faster than normal Churchills ones making him stronger.
The best tank in BFV is STURMTIGER, because: 1. it's guffy 2. the small mortar goes BOOM 3. A good gunner and grenade launcher shooter can be the biggest pain in the ass in the match
The use of the r-975 in the Sherman stemmed from the lack of powerful and light vehicle engines being mass produced at the time. The r-975 fit the bill and multiple companies were already making it. The engine also attributed to many American tanks having high silhouettes, a disadvantage on the battlefield.
@ I thought it was common knowledge with the American tanks, but I looked into it further and the Cromwell used a repurposed aircraft engine too, so apparently it was more common practice than I thought
@@SGiAGaircraft engines have high power output in a reliable and light weight package. Most of the advancements in tanks during the war was getting a power pack and transmission with power and reliability enough to allow more armor or a bigger gun.
Pzr4 doesn’t belong anywhere other than S. Tiger tanks in an average players hand is great however due to the constant glazing of the Tiger over 80 years, most who use it are only using it because of what the history channel said about it and have no fucking clue what they’re doing. A tier.
Uhmmm No... Wikipedia would like to know your location, because although they have very similar chassis they are certainly not the same. You see... if you use your eyes you will see that the rear portion (on top) of the Panzer III is slanted while the Panzer IV is squared. The Stug IV's rear portion is squared.
@@AsiagoMatteo Stug IV is just a niche retool of the Panzer IV, the only reason it's in BFV is mostly cause they rushed the tank models, 98% of the time when someone refers to a "Stug" they usually mean the wildly more common Stug IIIs which were Panzer IIIs as an assault gun role. It's a similar case with the Valentine AA actually using a turret from an AA configuration of the Crusader, they didn't want to model a Panzer III for the game so they just made it a Stug IV instead But at least the Stug IV existed, the Valentine AA is just pure fiction lol
sleeping HARD on the LVT. you can get AP for the 50s, spotting scope, traverse speed, and ammo. the thing can kill the japanese mediums from behind, ID and annihilate infantry, and harrass and (eventually) eliminate aircraft. its anti-everything and on the pacific maps, damn good at it.

Now im gonna type a lot but... I agree with most of this, really most of this... However I will not tolerate the slander of the AA path on the amphibious tanks and the Greyhound. As someone who has been using these for quite a while, THESE THINGS ARE GOOD. Also for context Did you know every like 5th round on it is a tracer? (AND EVEN THEN ITS BARELY VISIBLE TO PLANES, yet it shreds them). Not to mention its really good against infantry, the AP belts actually do fair amount of damage to enemy vehicles, and it's really solid vs planes (the lack of range can really be fixed by only getting better with it and leading your shots, then it's even DEADLIER.) Also on the light vehicles the auto canons are also pretty goofy to use, they shred infantry, sure maybe not tanks but they are satisfying to use. To be fair to all of those which I listed is mainly because I aim for having fun in the game and wanna use weird setups but they are not too bad. And finally... Someone who sees the viability of case shells on both the Valentine AA and the Panzer 4. They both can one shot infantry with a good hit (even though I feel it COULD use some more spread on it and more steel balls inside). And I just WISH WE HAD EASTERN FRONT... Because of one tank: KV-2 152 MM BOOM. We also really need like a Jumbo Pershing on the US side with like the M10 TD And on the Japanese to add one more TD and another tank for the sake of it. Plus maybe they could add the M24 on the US side for the Pacific front maps?🤔 But yeah as I said I agree with pretty much everything, nice video, hope you do planes as well!
Lol I slander the Boat tanks only because, when I'm flying... I can spot them so easily when they try to rake me with the flak strings... I just dive, reposition... Loose all my Rockets into them... and then they perish

Pretty sure the crocodile used to have an absurdly overtuned cannon. It hit like an 88, as fast as a 37, it could 2 shot a tiger if you hit the engine and could take out a tier 3 radio tower in like 5 shots.
@AsiagoMatteo The S mines, countless kills on assault players who think they have you. The stumpy default gun has great splash damage; combine that with flares and the mines and you can brawl at point blank range on flags while putting enemy infantry in the trashcan. My preferred setup but I can see why some people prefer the AT gun and or cannister shot.
my most absolute favorite tank to play is the sherman. i personally use it with its default 75mm canon and use the flamethrower as my secondary. the default cannon in my opinion is better than the howitzer as the splash damage is already good by itself and its not as slow. to top it off the shell drop is not as drastic. the only time this tank will show its weakness will be when you encounter another tank. but this tank EXCELS in anti infantry and if you use it correctly in an infantry focused map and a mode like breakthrough you can change the match by yourself. also american flag look cool lol
yeah they, they did real shit with the amount of tanks you are telling me america couldn't have gotten the M2A1, or the M22, or the M10, or M18? just two tanks and an armored car huh? and this is coming from a dude who mains germany x3

Unpopular opinion but the base LVT (with no upgrades and with regular gun) is one of the most underrated vehicles in the game. The armour is garbage I will admit, especially when facing the Type 97 equipped with the Type 5 gun. But the 37mm main gun is excellent against infantry and with the right upgrades you can fire it very quickly. For taking out tanks, I personally take the higher rate of fire along with the AP rounds, and this thing shreds Type 97s and Ka-Mis (especially the prior) if you know where to shoot, which works amazingly for me. I take a lot of the upgrades that reinforce some key components of the tank but having a faster turret traverse is also great to have. But by far one of the main reasons I like the base LVT is how good it is at shooting down airplanes, the 37mm round has a relatively flat trajectory with good muzzle velocity making it excellent for shooting down low flying aircraft, I have had great success with this.
IN MY BOOKS... I will name that a: BASED OPINION! Personally I use that or the Heavy Turret... But more often than not I use the auto Map spawn tanks with no perks because I don't want the Enemy to take it lol
Ah bf V, i haven't played that game in ages and i must say after playing to much Enlisted it feels kinda weird. Don't get me wrong but seeing pz38 figting Churchill for example reminded me how tanks can engage enemy tanks and win, also health on tanks? What do you mean health don't you wanna die from single shell of enemy soldiers at gun you didn't see or random dude sniping you with Panzerfaust. And looking at your tank from third person, what a blasphemy! Jokes aside cool video i would probably disagree with few placements (like archer because i remember being fan of this tank here because tanks here don't have realistic reverse speed or in this case normal speed, tought all the tanks in this game feel faster than they should and lighter). Also i remember that japanese rocket tank was great, i had like 65 killstreak with it. Also i forgot how few tanks were in these game, not even a panther and my biggest dissapointment with it aka no eastern front, like how can you make ww2 game without eastern front, for this offence EA should be sent to fight on the eastern front

Even when you could play Panzer Storm with it, it was awesome. The 6 ponder is good on it. But more infantry kills with the 2 pounder.
Tier charts are always incredibly inaccurate but any tank is good with a good operator. The tiger 1 is really good at taking out enemy tanks and longer ranged attacks, but in closer range is god awful. The Sherman is honestly great purely because of its many different types, but it’s bad at individual jobs. I’m not naming every tank’s ups and downs but 1 assault class with enough patience and ability can tank out an entire tank column by themselves. To counter all of these just have a big bomb

So lemme get this right. You’re jealous of both a billionaire, AND an 80 year old tank…? You don’t get out much do you 😂
Please don't be the guy that says that "Sherman Is the tank that won the war"...
Regardless of it triggers you :)
Hope that Helps Mart
Regards
Matteo
This is a 10/10 comparison
I completely understand you. Having this many stupid and unrealistic myths and hype around Tiger makes it unenjoyable even though tank itself is pretty good.
the type 97 when used with the ap rounds and hull cannon can be a beast, the combined damage of both cannons if used with a friend makes it viable for a ton of fun engagements
I endorse this. A working Passenger Princess shall win the game
They should have gone with the type 1 Ho-ni that actually saw some combat for the anti tank gun/tank destroyer variant instead of the type 3 Chi-nu.
Good Point... Def would have made more sense
Lmao it's all good bro!

Shi-Ki variant (command tank) of Chi-Ha had a 37mm gun in its hull, but it didn't have any armament in the turret

personally, i liked the medium tanks the most in this game, the heavies are just weak vs infantry and the light tanks can often get one shotted, the mediums are the perfect middle ground, decent for everything, and my favorites were the valentine and the japanese one because of their smaller size
I respect your Respect there... Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you can't :D
Stoked! Finally got around to watching this and man did you carry the torch!

@lochedin Appreciate it! I uhhh definitely use the planes a lot more, so things should go smoother there :)
I mean for the LVT... I literally brought that up... But I love where your hearts at Bro
with 75%of the my 2000 hrs in this game and playing comp in this as well, the valentine is S tier easily, the apcr rounds can out DPS a tiger when hitting the tracks even if it isn't showing the weak spots without HEATT rounds it can our DPS a tiger, it's also amazing infantry killer, that really hurt my soul
wOAH... It's in A tier... (but actually C tier)

The 120mm is real, its a submarine’s anti-shipping gun and was indeed installed in that tiny turret and the puma’s long barrel is a 50mm the stubby barrel is the 75 but it did have a tank destroyer design with an open top casement design fitting the long 75
Yeah I found it funny that he thought howitzers are only an American thing
Awesome list bro, do you plane on doing one for planes? I’ve looked all over the place and haven’t been able to find a list for them
OH YEH! It could be a bit but... It's coming
Thank you for sharing that! I definitely rushed right over all of these things

The Panzer 4 is the best tank in the entire game. The Long 75’s flat trajectory and good damage combined with good mobility and survivability make it the most flexible tank in the entire game. The canister shot version is also really good on maps with lots of hills and an enemy team who is bad at tanking.
That there is a respectable take Sir... The Panzer IV to me is pretty similar to the Sherman, However it has Fire, So I think it's better
It’s my favourite. I’ve had some truly phenomenal games using it. The happiest medium, and in my opinion the best looking bar the Valentine VIII.

I always wonder why they added the stug IV over the stug III
Lol Right?
Fun Fact: The STUG III was the most produced German Tank in WW2
@@druberguck4545 They tried to use existing 3d models as they can. For example Valentine AA is a fake tank. Only reason they added it is game already had Valentine. Same logic goes for Stug. Game doesnt have Panzer 3, so no Stug 3
@@bringsalavat_ Crusader gets no love :(
@@plumpotato5642 yeah man :( I think crusader would be much more fun then valentine due to more speed and hull turret machine gun
Because they had the model for the Panzer 4 already, so why go and make a new model for the Panzer 3
It's a shame more tanks like that weren't added to bfv
1:33 thats an incorrectly written 3 (iii), shouldve written VII
Thank you.... It is too late to change this but I appreciate the proof read :)
Cool... The more you know :D
There are deleted game assets ingame, also includes, self propelled howitzer

13:51. Exquisite
Hahahaha... OK :D
Just as a slight tweak in information, the stug used the chasis of a Panzer III not a Panzer IV
I don't know why people keep saying this but it is (as far as Wikipedia says) Incorrect they definitely did use the Panzer IV chassis... If you look at the Chassis shape PIV vs PIII... The rear portion is squared as opposed to rounded...
Hope this helps :)
@@AsiagoMatteo seams to be a question for the British tank museum I guess, but yeah I always thought it was the panzer IV but was told with some convincing info it was the panzer III like the size of the chassis and how the drivers seat was made and proportioned.
The best tank in BFV is STURMTIGER,
because:
1. it's guffy
2. the small mortar goes BOOM
3. A good gunner and grenade launcher shooter can be the biggest pain in the ass in the match
Yeah half the battle with that thing is measuring the YEET drop... when that happens game over
The use of the r-975 in the Sherman stemmed from the lack of powerful and light vehicle engines being mass produced at the time. The r-975 fit the bill and multiple companies were already making it. The engine also attributed to many American tanks having high silhouettes, a disadvantage on the battlefield.
HUh... I don't know where you learned that, but it's formatted pretty well so I believe it!
@ I thought it was common knowledge with the American tanks, but I looked into it further and the Cromwell used a repurposed aircraft engine too, so apparently it was more common practice than I thought

the stug uses the panzer 3 chassie and not the one from the panzer 4
It's a similar case with the Valentine AA actually using a turret from an AA configuration of the Crusader, they didn't want to model a Panzer III for the game so they just made it a Stug IV instead
But at least the Stug IV existed, the Valentine AA is just pure fiction lol

However I will not tolerate the slander of the AA path on the amphibious tanks and the Greyhound.
As someone who has been using these for quite a while, THESE THINGS ARE GOOD.
Also for context
Did you know every like 5th round on it is a tracer? (AND EVEN THEN ITS BARELY VISIBLE TO PLANES, yet it shreds them).
Not to mention its really good against infantry, the AP belts actually do fair amount of damage to enemy vehicles, and it's really solid vs planes (the lack of range can really be fixed by only getting better with it and leading your shots, then it's even DEADLIER.)
Also on the light vehicles the auto canons are also pretty goofy to use, they shred infantry, sure maybe not tanks but they are satisfying to use.
Because of one tank:
KV-2 152 MM BOOM.
We also really need like a Jumbo Pershing on the US side with like the M10 TD
And on the Japanese to add one more TD and another tank for the sake of it.
Plus maybe they could add the M24 on the US side for the Pacific front maps?🤔

yuh... you are correct.
my most absolute favorite tank to play is the sherman. i personally use it with its default 75mm canon and use the flamethrower as my secondary. the default cannon in my opinion is better than the howitzer as the splash damage is already good by itself and its not as slow. to top it off the shell drop is not as drastic. the only time this tank will show its weakness will be when you encounter another tank. but this tank EXCELS in anti infantry and if you use it correctly in an infantry focused map and a mode like breakthrough you can change the match by yourself. also american flag look cool lol

The tiger 1 is really good at taking out enemy tanks and longer ranged attacks, but in closer range is god awful.

MWhahahah... Yes... One 1000kg + a couple tiny ones and BOOM Tank privileges revoked
Waiting for the planes video after ruining my air to air spitfire
I woould never....
The Staghound and 38T with autocannons, before the AP rounds got nerfed, were B-U-S-T-E-D
Nothing was funnier than absolutely zhitting on a Tiger sweat, with a cheeseburger on wheels X'D
I wish I waas that passionate about tanks back then :_( that sounds like a lot of fun
@AsiagoMatteo It was the best time for vehicle mains, that nerf hurt so much qwq
I've never received more hate DMs in any other game than BFV X'D
Been seeing more and more stuff on V recently though, kinda makes me want to play again ^~^
Now you make me want to play Battlefield 5 again (despite knowing no one else that plays).
The Valentine though should probably move down a tier... Just saying
Lmao you're the only one I've heard say that one XD
my favs are the puma and greyhound. its fun being a hit and run rat and i feel the heavy tanks miss half the battles
@namelesswolf242 They're kinda like Flys... They live a fast and fullfilling life but they die really quick when time comes :P
@AsiagoMatteo I mean as long as your smart with them that won't happen, but yes they are a lot like Flys. Unless your infantry and not an assault. Then there a nightmare
@ Lol 100%... Infantry farming "Scout Cars" are simply the worst 😫
@@AsiagoMatteo fr, I honestly try to use the car for support over farming as I hate being on the receiving end
This video really attracted the thinkers in the comments huh
Dude... you don't know the half of it... If you ever want to do a master a skill make a video doing the best you can... The criticism (which is Constructive even if blunt) will help you learn so much!
