Music professionals go so far as to call it : " The Suicidal Song" for who would dare to cover il . But that was without counting the intervention of our Vocal Magician who takes up this challenge superbly and brilliantly. When you see the result: Hands down!!! We have a little Vocal Treasure signed Gabriel Henrique . I love his change of tone in the song, great vocal range, good timbre, soothing voice like velvet, the changes he makes in this particular song . OMG I'm SPEECHLESS !!! Runs, so clear, Out Of This World !!!! His vocal control from chest voice to head voice, then to Falsetto ending in a firework of Whistles All these gifts united in the same Person !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys don´t forget that this is a cover where the artist brings a little of his own style without going too far out from the original artist otherwise it wouldn´t be a cover. He´s a great singer, he sings in his car without any apparatus with raw voice and he still delivers a fantastic performance and I must say that different than Dimash this guys has the ability to touch those who listen to him a special place and he doesn´t have what Dimash has meaning all the production and high-tech behind him.Eventually his is going to go his own way, this is a way for him to show his abilities, his range and all he can do with his voice, one has t start somewhere and he deserves all the credit for all his amazing deliveries. I am sure you are aware by now that Gabriel also covers Whitney, Celine and others. Many of which are in the original key. Whitney and Mariah's songs have a lot of vocal movement, particularly Mariah. Gabriel is able to cover them so well because of the exceptional control he has over his voice. I especially like the way he seamlessly transitions between registers, as well as doing little things with runs, riffs and subtle changes in tempo to make each cover his own. He is reportedly completely self-taught. I could go on, but I'll end with suggesting you check out his version of "I want to know what love is" His first version, not the one he does in his car.
I hope you guys have been listening to more of GH in the past year, that whistle note surprised the hell out of you. Don't underestimate what Gabriel is capable of, yes, his range is amazing, Mariah Carey is someone he has followed for many years. It's not about imitating her or anyone else, he is showing you what he is capable of with his own voice and he can hit the whistle notes with no problems.
I appreciate these honest reviews as they potentially reflect how non-GH fans will perceive him including on the show. Yet for me, this cover is one of my favorites, not just because it is sublime as written and performed, and not just for its technical showcasing, but also because it evidences a mature sophistication outside of our beloved’s techno-technics. For the reactors, note that most (not all) of Gabriel’s covers start with softness and later during the second halves are what in the USA call “all balls out” (sorry ladies but it’s as apt an expression as I can conjure up). Thus, women often swoon during the first halves and then the men love the meat and potatoes of the second halves. Given the foregoing, it will be a challenge for Gabriel to appeal to the “immediate gratification” American audience, hence my prior suggestions in other remarks elsewhere that he consider auditioning with Emotions. At the risk of repeating myself, i strongly feel that this cover is (at least to me) one of Gabriel’s most magnificent feats of artistry although I will always love him (see what I did there? 🤗) for the passionate emotional impact he has had on many of us with some of his other songs. One last and related note: of course we cannot help but compare him to Whitney or Mariah with his covers, yet one thing that is often (but by no means always) overlooked is how much more “soul” he has than those two artistes. Of course their voices are magnificent, but I can honestly say that neither has ever brought me to tears like he has with the exception of Whitney’s I Will Always Love You which I attribute to the magnificence of its author: the incomparable (and too often dismissed) Dolly Parton. Well,Gab is a Brazilian SLAY-boy (way more than these guys, apparently.Just not as open,though,But close enough with the time that I've seen..lol) that's why(therefore not as surprsing as well) he's more prone to more feminine or diva songs or singers(really good ones),like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston,etc...He's SURE slaying them 👍🤘🌈💎😅🤷♂😎

Porque nos parece que , por alguma razão, há uma relutância de aceitar/reconhecer o talento do GH deste moço?! O que nos parece é que há em vc, tão querido, uma necessidade pessoal de que eke aceite o talento do Gabrie... seja aceito por este moço convencer - parece há uma ecessidade pessoal de que aceite o talento decquem você admira. Quando, por alguma razão uma pessoa se recusa, nada o fará ainda que um Estádio lotado o fizer... Havia uma reação de uma Sra. Professora de música, mega respeitável dizer que o Gabriel, era tão somente, um I-M-I-T-A-D-O-R muito talentoso - o que de modo algum o desmerecia ou lhe tiraria qquer mérito srsr Agradecemos suas reações... Passado um tempo, vimos esta mesma Sra, postando sua audição do GH e para nossa surpresa, colocava reconhecer estava equivocada em uma reação anterior. Entao, colocava ser o Gabriel um cantor, extre/te talentoso e incrivel! E, de novo, agradecemos sua reação... Entendemos que quanto mais perseveramos com determinados pessoas, mais batem na mesma tecla porquê isso, é tudo que os fazem relutar no óbvio. Não conhece o cantor, não conhece a música que ele está fazendo o cover, mas ainda sim, julga de forma precipitada e errônea a forma como ele canta. No mínimo deveria ouvir o original pra ter argumentos. Reagir por reagir. Não menciona as técnicas que o cantor utiliza, apenas diz que gostaria que ele cantasse outra música. Assistir até o final, mas não gostei.

@Fabio Fiori if that were the case since Gabriel covers so much Whitney, Mariah and Celine then according to you he should'nt sing at all? He's the only man besides Dimash to cover some of these songs. Would you give the same advice to Dimash for singing Celine Dion or Laura Fabian? I doubt it

As the guy said in the video, if Gabriel sang Mariah Carey on a TV show and I was the judge, I would tell him to stop and sing a man's song. Men sing men's music, women sing women's music, gays sing gay music, Koreans sing kpop, that's life.

He can sing anything he wants and if he sings something by Whitney, Mariah or Jennifer, he does'nt feel the need to change the lyrics just to please you. And you're certainly not a judge in any way. If he sings any song on AGT as he's already done on April 15th I'm certain he was'nt stopped and asked to sing something else. They were blown away. @Caio Rossi perhaps to you. But every other reactor has loved him singing this as do his fans. You're the lone exception. And I recommended this "boring, worst of his songs to them because like most people who know music, which you obviously don't, it's Mariah's most difficult song to sing and he sang it better than she did.
