I’m probably one of the few people who had never heard this song before Gabriel did it. I spent some years acting and singing in Europe during the time this was popular, so this was new to me and it does pack a punch! My favorite part was when he went nuts at the end. I loved his “Whoo’s” because they were so Michael-esque. And I love the triplets he did with the whistles. He’s constantly pushing the boundaries when he sings, which I also love. One of my favorite things about Gabriel is his crystal clear intonation. He’s always so in tune, which I find so satisfying, as it does drive me crazy when singers go out of tune. It’s, of course possible that MJ went out of tune in that run you mentioned early on. I know “them are fighting’ words” when talking about the great Michael Jackson, and his impeccable pitch, but it does happen even to the best. Thank you for your reaction. I, too, loved the air he allowed through on “shine” and “rain” at the beginning. I think it’s time you reacted to one of his Portuguese songs. There is a subtle confidence that comes through when he’s singing in his mother tongue. I love so many of them because the melodies are so beautiful…but my favorite, is called, “Fim De Tarde”. It’s an R & B song and he absolutely nails it, with ease and such flair, and of course, his pitch perfection. Also you haven’t lived until you’ve reacted to his cover of “And I’m telling you I’m not Going”. This is a female diva power song most recently done by Jennifer Hudson, and, again, he does a masterful job with it. I almost forgot to breathe, it was so dynamic. Thank you for your reactions. Being that I am older (still young, kinda sorta 😂) I have been through the many iterations of MJ, even from The Jackson 5, which was when I was a child, but you grew up with his growth, if that makes sense. Not physically but musically, which is my point. An artist doesn’t arrive at the “King of Pop” overnight. If you follow an artist that means you also follow their growth over time. And we have seen growth from hard work already with Gabriel. I think he is very special, yes his whistles are fantastic but I actually love his belts, I love the grit, I love how quickly he moves through it all and I love how he puts it all together. I can appreciate the fact that English isn’t his first language, and the amount of work he has put into it, I can hear the changes there. I have also seen the changes in his performance and we will see more as he becomes his own kind of artist. It is important to appreciate the journey over time. I am not talking to you SH, I know you know this, but to others that are on this journey with Gabriel. And just because it has been a long time, I just gotta do it. Thanks SH! T ✌🏻

Being that I am older (still young, kinda sorta 😂) I have been through the many iterations of MJ, even from The Jackson 5, which was when I was a child, but you grew up with his growth, if that makes sense. Not physically but musically, which is my point. An artist doesn’t arrive at the “King of Pop” overnight. If you follow an artist that means you also follow their growth over time. And we have seen growth from hard work already with Gabriel. I think he is very special, yes his whistles are fantastic but I actually love his belts, I love the grit, I love how quickly he moves through it all and I love how he puts it all together. I can appreciate the fact that English isn’t his first language, and the amount of work he has put into it, I can hear the changes there. I have also seen the changes in his performance and we will see more as he becomes his own kind of artist. It is important to appreciate the journey over time. I am not talking to you SH, I know you know this, but to others that are on this journey with Gabriel. And just because it has been a long time, I just gotta do it.

He has a beautiful voice. I’m glad you mentioned the muffled backing track. I had difficulty determining whether those were backing vocals or instruments. Some similarities to MJs voice but GH definitely has implemented a few unique vocal choices. So smooth. ❤
