    Outstanding video on LCI bulb install! Lotsa work but seems to be worth it. My headlight washers may create more work. I plan to change out my bulbs very soon. Thanks again! 👍

    not going to rain on your parade, this kind of videos are helpful alot of the time, changed lightbulbs in the headlight on my f11 2011 model with out removing the bumper, only took the plastic away like you showed in the beginning of the video, and i dont have the smallest hands,

      Benedikt Snorri Hallgrímsson if you noticed in the begging of the video, I meantioned this process is for the LCI model f10/f11, which doesn’t start until July of 2013. Your 2011 is a pre-LCI which is why they are accessible under the fender.

      @@EastCoastGarage so this has only to do with lci models?

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Benedikt Snorri Hallgrímsson yes so this video is only for the LCI model (07-13 thru 2016)

    Is it possible to do it when car is standing on the wheels? Without taking out the wheels and lifting up the car? And how much time do I need to do it? Thank You for a video.

    Imagine doing at that work and not checking if the 2 new bulbs are working by plugging the connectors and testing the new bulbs before reassembly only to find out one or both bulbs are defective 😜
    Good job, I wanted to change my bulbs to change Kelvin, but screw that!

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yeah it’s definitely a process! That would be horrible considered you can’t really check them without the correct ballasts meaning you’d pretty much need a whole other headlight assembly just to check the bulbs 😂

    May I know why there is a hatch on the fender liner? They put it there to change a light bulb. There is no need to remove the headlight.

      Simply because there is 4 screws that are more worthy of frustration than the frustration it takes to remove the whole bumper

    Do you really have to take the entire bumper off just to change hte light bulb?

    Very good and detailed video.

    If you replace just a housing on one side. Do you need to drop the entire bumper?

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      steeptech809 no you would not need to remove the whole bumper if only doing one side, though it might make it somewhat easier to access all the bolts and ensure you don’t damage anything. If you don’t want to remove the bumper, just remove all the bolts on top and the fender bolts on whatever side you are working. Then just to be safe and not damage any of the plastic underbody I would remove half the bolts on the bottom of the bumper. That should provide you enough room to reach everything

    This can actually be done without the bumper off, taking the tyre off and the fender off with a thin long wrench 🔧 it’s achievable

    Hi
    On mine bmw 535i, driver side, headlight is not working at all, this mean I need 2 bulbs, one for low beam and other for high beam ?

      Случайный Попутчик if you were paying attention in the video I clearly stated, as well as in the comments several times, that in 2014 model f10s and newer, there are 4 torque bolts inaccessible from this window you are describing. This is why you have to do this process in this video. So I would appreciate if before commenting something rude, you do your own research
