Here is a interesting factoid for you. 11 of the 14 voice actresses from previous Disney films reprised the roles for this. Snow White and Cinderella's actresses had passed away Mary Costa who voiced Aurora is still alive but was 88 at the time and didn't reprise her Role. Mary is now 94 and is the last surviving voice actress of the 3 Disney Princesses created in Walt Disney's lifetime. Great reaction Oscar keep up the great work.

That end credits scene where the kid mentioned a scene in the trailer that wasn't in the movie is in itself a joke because that exact scene was in pretty much every trailer.
Before my wife and me watched this movie, my wife really loved that little scene with Ralph feeding the rabbit in the mobile game. When the movie ended she was like 'yeah, the movie was nice, but I am quite disappointed, because they didn't put the mobile game scene in the actual movie.' Getting the after credit scene then a few moments later was hilarious :D
I think I’m an outlier here, because I adored what this movie did. It showed that people aren’t static and friends can seek different paths without destroying the relationship. Not to mention that the Ralph monster at the end legitimately gave me nightmares. The level of clinginess was absolutely terrifying!

There were so many opportunities to go with like modern/online gaming, but most of the movie is just outdated internet humour and corporate ads. There are enjoyable aspects, but it's not something I'd ever rewatch.

Ralph breaks the internet to me is a good movie but it is a bad sequel. I feel like it ruins the story of the original especially Ralph and Venelope’s characters. I agree. I feel like it turned the main lesson from the original story on its head. She went turbo and abandoned her game after the kids had chosen her as their favorite racer because she was bored. Chasing after more exciting thrilling things and running away from your responsibilities is not a good message. I have gained some new respect for certain aspects of the movie watching it with your reaction, but I still am very disappointed with what they ended up doing with this movie. What if other game characters feel that way? She was only an actual racer in the game for 6-10 years max?? Is it ok for them to go turbo in the internet when they get bored? 😔 And they made Ralph out to be such a bad guy. He was doing all kinds of things to save his friend. The first movie is miles better without question, but the ending of this one does resonate deeply with me because I went through the same thing. I ended up moving out of my home state and leaving my best friend behind. Even though I’m a million times happier in my new home than my old one, I was worried my best friend and I would grow apart, but we’re still close to this day. We just met up for a weekend getaway at the beach this summer and I’m happy to say we picked up right where we left off. I know Ralph and Vanellope will too ❤
I remember the trailer having the bunny eating pancakes part and it made me want to watch the movie! Then after the whole movie i was like 'where is the bunny scene?!' I loved how they still added it and made a point of the kid sayings there was a part in the trailers that were not in the movie 😂
You'd be amazed at the things some friends do to help those they love even if it means hurting themselves or making a complete fool of themselves they will do it
Sadly this movie did derailed both Ralph and Vanellope’s characterization as a whole. Ralph is a clingy and a stupid friend, and Vanellope is pretty immature and selfish friend on wanting to do something new instead of thinking logically that leaving your own game would cause a lot of problems especially what happened with Turbo.
Agreed wholeheartedly, Ralph and Vanellope’s personality turn a whole 180 in the sequel compared to their personalities from the first movie. Ralph who acted as a humble, kind hearted gentle giant from the first film just became this clingy, and malicious jerk and a selfish diaper baby with most of his actions being done for the wrong reasons, Vanellope who was the mischievous, snarky racer just became very selfish and very immature while at the same time ends up being the one "Going TURBO" and because of their personalities being the opposite of who they were from the first film it made me feel turned off and betrayed.

I actually think it was a pretty natural progression with Ralph's part. He did grow from the first movie and he was happy. The problem was he connected all that happiness to only Penelope. Which is very unhealthy and so lead to him doing stupid and desperate things when Penelope wanted to branch out and do other things away from Ralph.

I don't think her character changed a bit. In both movies, she went determinedly after her own ambitions. The only difference in this one was that she hesitated because she was worried about losing her best friend.

I Agree with your comments on this reaction...why Ralph felt so insecure not having a close friend for 30 years...finds vanellope then feels likes he's losing her. I can see why they went with this plot for the characters. 😊😊❤ People go through these situations and emotions but a true friend will always be there to love and support your dreams no matter where they are and be in your life. How Ralph was, the way how he was alone for so long, and he had a new friend, (being Vanellope) but didn’t want her to join a different game because he would be alone again. In this context, it would be the same as having a friend in real life that is special to you, and you never had that many friends and were alone. But they wanted to do something that you didn’t want to do. That’s the same situation I’m having with a very special friend of mine. I literally went through the same thing as Ralph did. I was always an outcast and never had that much friends. But recently, (I guess last May) I became friends with someone who I thought was really nice to me. Because they were nice to me, I thought of it as something else that wasn’t just being friendly, and I always think that whenever I’m “interacting” with them, I feel like I’m gonna say or say something that is either “cringe” or “awkward”, but I always want to see them constantly because when I don’t, I always feel alone. What is this feeling that I have? It can’t be love because I don’t “like-like” them. I don’t know what it is. Can anyone reply to this comment and tell me what’s happening because I don’t know what’s going on.
Ugh, I hate this movie for a simple fact. That in the first one Ralph has to accept his role as a bad guy but in this one Vanellope can just go Turbo? The dated internet trends & self-pandering doesn’t help.
i still don't understand why Mulan was in with the princesses. She's not an actual princess. She's a heroin, same with Moana. Both even stated it in their movies. That's always been one of my issues, but love you videos and reactions. Keep them up! ^^
I'd argue that since they are the daughters of chieftains Moana is as much a princess as Pocahontas is - either way, in this movie their appearance (alongside Mulan's) is likely more a reference to "Disney Princess", the franchise line they port characters over to once their individual franchise stops making money on it's own. It's Disney's way of still selling (for example) official Jasmine merch over 30 years after Aladdin's release. In fact, if you look at it this way, Anna and Elsa are actually the ones who don't belong; though both are royalty and one is even actively a princess, due to the ongoing success of Frozen, they were never actually "crowned" official Disney Princesses.
If you want the real answer: The Disney Princess franchise has a list of criteria for what it takes to be a member. One of which is something along the lines of "performing an act of heroism" (I can't quite remember the wording) - which is a criteria they added specifically so that Mulan could join the Princess line. Funny enough Elsa and Anna are actually not official Disney Princesses, possibly because they were so successful that adding them would have actually risked tanking their own merch sales

On its own, like if it was completely its own thing, I would actually say this movie is okay with some creative ideas. However, it absolutely fails as a sequel. It contradicts the first film too much and retcons character development.
The ending hit me just as hard, Oscar. My best friend moved away across the country and had felt exactly the same way. But we actually to tell each other that we love each other. She is the Grace to my Will. (Please watch Will & Grace soon)
I liked it when I watched it but I never watched it again, and as of recent when watching a video talking about why turbo makes a great villain. There was mention of how bad and criticized this movie was, and looking back on it. Ralph and vanellope have honestly changed and not in a good way, I was at first on the side it was good but rewatching the first one I am on the opposite side
If we consider that in the first movie, Sugar Rush was seen as this popular game that all the kids wanted to try. There's a timeskip for the second one which is 6 years, but also the internet is now a thing. So taking these into account, I'm not surprised that Sugar Rush doesn't make as much as it used to. Basically there's other games to play and not many people go to Arcades anymore.
I highly recommend watching the movie "Society of the Snow" in it's original language Spanish! It's a true story and 100% worth a watch :) Love your videos!!!!
I wanted to add that the English dub was pretty moving as well and had great voice actors. I'm sure the original language is better of course and there may have been things that might have come across differently, but i don't speak Spanish so I don't know lol. However just wanted to say it in case anyone doesn't like subbed movies, at least watch the dubbed because the movie is still amazing. And yes I bawl like a baby every time 😭
@@Danwa1994 I’d say that if someone is able to watch the original (subbed) then they definitely should, ‘cause there’s a lot of emotion, nuance, and natural flow that kinda fizzles out when movies/shows get dubbed. More often than not it tends to either fall flat or just not really hit the same, at least for me 😂 but I’m also not a native english speaker, so growing up practically everything was subbed for me! Haha maybe that makes me a bit biased but I’ll always choose subbed (original language) over dubbed. To each their own!

Not quite as good as the first overall imo but still fun and once the virus part starts you get those proper emotional hits and character development, before that the movie is mostly pop culture reference bait which I think is why many didn't like it. Thats also sort of why I dont rate it quite as high as the first which from the get go starts with the relevant story to the whole film and sticks with it.
The glitch ability was always part of her, but Turbo when isolated her code from the rest of the game used it against her making it seem like the glitch was a bad thing as it was not part of the game, even if it was her power all along.

Watching your reaction after not seeing the movie in a while really had an impact on me as someone who’s recently had to move away from a close friend and just seeing some of that represented in the movie (and with our added discussion) has made me love this movie even more. I think some of the moments might seem silly and unlikeable to people but, especially if you’ve gone through letting go or a friend, that really changes the way you watch this movie. I’m so glad watching your reaction made me fall in love with the film again.
HAHA your reaction to the rick roll was perfect My brother and I both got SO called out in theaters during the credit scenes. First, the credits start and my brother leans over to me and was like "hey, that pancake and bunny scene from the trailer wasn't anywhere in the movie, that was like most of the trailer!" and then like 20 seconds later we got that scene XDDD but THEN we got to the end of the credits where the music credits are and I saw "Never Gonna Give You Up" and I was like wHoa where was the rick roll, did I miss it? and lo and behold hahaha. I thought maybe I disliked this one cuz there was a lot of hate around the sequel when it came out but every time I've seen it since it hasn't changed to me. I started to be afraid of saying I love you to friends since one friend stopped texting me and blocked me after I worried about her and tried to let her know I care about our friendship. I'm trying not to let that affect me that much but the possibility of losing a friend because of saying something I think but barely ever say and saying it once could lead to them growing apart or missunderstanding... is still going to cross my mind and bring painful memories

It caught me off guard but it was so casual and the phrasing that I wasn’t really put off by it. Overtime we both started really meaning it. Some people unfortunately will be super uncomfortable but I imagine a friend worth keeping will stick around through a casual “Love yah!”
Thank you. You did it. You changed my opinion on "The Incredible 2" & "Wreck-It-Ralph 2". I was in that camp. I was one of those people that would tell others to skip both movies. I just didn't understand them. The theming of both films is very good and are natural progressions. You picked up right away that Ralph "seems" better at the start, but eventually you clocked that he really hasn't grown enough emotionally. That he's wanting things to just "remain perfect" for him, while ignoring the yearning need Vanellope has to be more. I have a new appreciation and feel like I must rewatch them both.
I think the reason why some people were turned off by this movie was because this was the start of the Girl Boss era, the scene with the Disney princesses was a good indicator, however it was a scene that was done right compared to most junk in later years where it felt very forced.

I have to disagree. I thought they were both perfectly in character. In the first movie, Ralph made a mess of Hero's Duty and nearly wrecked his own game and Sugar Rush in his quest for acceptance. In the end, he is content, but mainly because he finally had a friend, and the acceptance he wants from his co-gamers. In the second movie, the friendship is threatened, and Ralph goes back to being needy and selfish and making a mess of stuff trying to preserve that friendship. Same guy! In the first movie, Vanellope was also selfish and immature, she spent the whole film in determined pursuit of what she wanted. Refused to listen at all when Ralph had concerns she was going to destroy her own game. Same person in the second game--she finds something she wants, and goes for it. The main difference is, she hesitates this time because she is afraid of losing her best friend.

This movie is basically the prototype for Space Jam 2, decent plotline but the main attraction are just the easter egg/cameo and they really shove it into your mouth At least Ready Player One can do it better

Yeah. And also, I am just not a fan of the whole incompetent man-child and wisecracking-humiliation-dishing superhumanly genius little girl pairing. It might have been fun and fresh a while back, but now its just lazy, and doesn't seem in good taste.

I actually think it was a pretty natural progression with Ralph's part. He did grow from the first movie and he was happy. The problem was he connected all that happiness to only Penelope. Which is very unhealthy and so lead to him doing stupid and desperate things when Penelope wanted to branch out and do other things away from Ralph.
@@faye7504 Agreed. And Vanelope spent the entire first movie trying to break into the race, and refused to listen when Ralph had concerns that she would break the entire game. I don't think her character changed a bit. In both movies, she went determinedly after her own ambitions. The only difference in this one was that she hesitated because she was worried about losing her best friend.

I Agree with your comments on this reaction...why Ralph felt so insecure not having a close friend for 30 years...finds vanellope then feels likes he's losing her. I can see why they went with this plot for the characters. 😊😊❤ People go through these situations and emotions but a true friend will always be there to love and support your dreams no matter where they are and be in your life. I really enjoyed the second movie 🍿🎥

How Ralph was, the way how he was alone for so long, and he had a new friend, (being Vanellope) but didn’t want her to join a different game because he would be alone again. In this context, it would be the same as having a friend in real life that is special to you, and you never had that many friends and were alone. But they wanted to do something that you didn’t want to do. That’s the same situation I’m having with a very special friend of mine. I literally went through the same thing as Ralph did.
I was always an outcast and never had that much friends. But recently, (I guess last May) I became friends with someone who I thought was really nice to me.
Because they were nice to me, I thought of it as something else that wasn’t just being friendly, and I always think that whenever I’m “interacting” with them, I feel like I’m gonna say or say something that is either “cringe” or “awkward”, but I always want to see them constantly because when I don’t, I always feel alone.
What is this feeling that I have? It can’t be love because I don’t “like-like” them. I don’t know what it is. Can anyone reply to this comment and tell me what’s happening because I don’t know what’s going on.

i still don't understand why Mulan was in with the princesses. She's not an actual princess. She's a heroin, same with Moana. Both even stated it in their movies. That's always been one of my issues, but love you videos and reactions. Keep them up! ^^
I'd argue that since they are the daughters of chieftains Moana is as much a princess as Pocahontas is - either way, in this movie their appearance (alongside Mulan's) is likely more a reference to "Disney Princess", the franchise line they port characters over to once their individual franchise stops making money on it's own. It's Disney's way of still selling (for example) official Jasmine merch over 30 years after Aladdin's release.
In fact, if you look at it this way, Anna and Elsa are actually the ones who don't belong; though both are royalty and one is even actively a princess, due to the ongoing success of Frozen, they were never actually "crowned" official Disney Princesses.
If you want the real answer: The Disney Princess franchise has a list of criteria for what it takes to be a member. One of which is something along the lines of "performing an act of heroism" (I can't quite remember the wording) - which is a criteria they added specifically so that Mulan could join the Princess line. Funny enough Elsa and Anna are actually not official Disney Princesses, possibly because they were so successful that adding them would have actually risked tanking their own merch sales

I liked it when I watched it but I never watched it again, and as of recent when watching a video talking about why turbo makes a great villain. There was mention of how bad and criticized this movie was, and looking back on it. Ralph and vanellope have honestly changed and not in a good way, I was at first on the side it was good but rewatching the first one I am on the opposite side

If we consider that in the first movie, Sugar Rush was seen as this popular game that all the kids wanted to try.
There's a timeskip for the second one which is 6 years, but also the internet is now a thing. So taking these into account, I'm not surprised that Sugar Rush doesn't make as much as it used to. Basically there's other games to play and not many people go to Arcades anymore.

I wanted to add that the English dub was pretty moving as well and had great voice actors. I'm sure the original language is better of course and there may have been things that might have come across differently, but i don't speak Spanish so I don't know lol. However just wanted to say it in case anyone doesn't like subbed movies, at least watch the dubbed because the movie is still amazing. And yes I bawl like a baby every time 😭
@@Danwa1994 I’d say that if someone is able to watch the original (subbed) then they definitely should, ‘cause there’s a lot of emotion, nuance, and natural flow that kinda fizzles out when movies/shows get dubbed. More often than not it tends to either fall flat or just not really hit the same, at least for me 😂 but I’m also not a native english speaker, so growing up practically everything was subbed for me! Haha maybe that makes me a bit biased but I’ll always choose subbed (original language) over dubbed. To each their own!

Not quite as good as the first overall imo but still fun and once the virus part starts you get those proper emotional hits and character development, before that the movie is mostly pop culture reference bait which I think is why many didn't like it. Thats also sort of why I dont rate it quite as high as the first which from the get go starts with the relevant story to the whole film and sticks with it.

I thought it got fixed when she crossed the finish line and her normal code was restored. She just kept the ability part of her glitches... Somehow...
The glitch ability was always part of her, but Turbo when isolated her code from the rest of the game used it against her making it seem like the glitch was a bad thing as it was not part of the game, even if it was her power all along.

Watching your reaction after not seeing the movie in a while really had an impact on me as someone who’s recently had to move away from a close friend and just seeing some of that represented in the movie (and with our added discussion) has made me love this movie even more.
I think some of the moments might seem silly and unlikeable to people but, especially if you’ve gone through letting go or a friend, that really changes the way you watch this movie. I’m so glad watching your reaction made me fall in love with the film again.

My brother and I both got SO called out in theaters during the credit scenes. First, the credits start and my brother leans over to me and was like "hey, that pancake and bunny scene from the trailer wasn't anywhere in the movie, that was like most of the trailer!" and then like 20 seconds later we got that scene XDDD but THEN we got to the end of the credits where the music credits are and I saw "Never Gonna Give You Up" and I was like wHoa where was the rick roll, did I miss it? and lo and behold hahaha. I thought maybe I disliked this one cuz there was a lot of hate around the sequel when it came out but every time I've seen it since it hasn't changed to me. I started to be afraid of saying I love you to friends since one friend stopped texting me and blocked me after I worried about her and tried to let her know I care about our friendship. I'm trying not to let that affect me that much but the possibility of losing a friend because of saying something I think but barely ever say and saying it once could lead to them growing apart or missunderstanding... is still going to cross my mind and bring painful memories
Sorry to hear that 🥲. I wasn’t used to that at all several years ago and this guy from Oregon said to me casually “Love yah dog, see yah letter” like it was not a big deal. It caught me off guard but it was so casual and the phrasing that I wasn’t really put off by it. Overtime we both started really meaning it. Some people unfortunately will be super uncomfortable but I imagine a friend worth keeping will stick around through a casual “Love yah!”

Thank you. You did it. You changed my opinion on "The Incredible 2" & "Wreck-It-Ralph 2". I was in that camp. I was one of those people that would tell others to skip both movies. I just didn't understand them. The theming of both films is very good and are natural progressions.
You picked up right away that Ralph "seems" better at the start, but eventually you clocked that he really hasn't grown enough emotionally. That he's wanting things to just "remain perfect" for him, while ignoring the yearning need Vanellope has to be more.
I have a new appreciation and feel like I must rewatch them both.

I think the reason why some people were turned off by this movie was because this was the start of the Girl Boss era, the scene with the Disney princesses was a good indicator, however it was a scene that was done right compared to most junk in later years where it felt very forced.
Idk. The entire Disney Princess and “big strong man” stuff felt really forced and honestly kinda virtue signaling.
I mean I like the Princesses themselves, them teaming up was cool. And I absolutely adore the pj/lounge outfits.

I honestly don’t know what to make of _Ralph Breaks the Internet_ it’s like _Muppets Most Wanted_ but much more flanderized and doesn’t have the heart and soul of the first _Wreck-It Ralph_ and frankly I felt bewildered and betrayed by the sequel especially during the end of the film, because literally Ralph and Vanellope’s personality turn a whole 180 in the sequel compared to their personalities from the first movie. Even the new characters introduced (Knowsmore, Yesss, and Shank) and the scenes of Vanellope with the Disney Princesses weren’t enough to save this film.
What’s more strange and unusual is that the screenwriters for _Ralph Breaks the Internet_ were the same ones who did the first _Wreck-It Ralph_
I have to disagree. I thought they were both perfectly in character. In the first movie, Ralph made a mess of Hero's Duty and nearly wrecked his own game and Sugar Rush in his quest for acceptance. In the end, he is content, but mainly because he finally had a friend, and the acceptance he wants from his co-gamers. In the second movie, the friendship is threatened, and Ralph goes back to being needy and selfish and making a mess of stuff trying to preserve that friendship. Same guy! In the first movie, Vanellope was also selfish and immature, she spent the whole film in determined pursuit of what she wanted. Refused to listen at all when Ralph had concerns she was going to destroy her own game. Same person in the second game--she finds something she wants, and goes for it. The main difference is, she hesitates this time because she is afraid of losing her best friend.
