    As an ultralight pilot who does some cross country flying I've found I.F.R. flying to translate well into flying the Huey....as in, I follow roads.

    Great stuff. Got back to DCS and training on the Huey in order to be ready for AH-64D. Thank you very much for those tutorials

    I really appreciate your tutorials on the Huey. I am new to DCS World and for now am ONLY interested in the Huey. It is my all-time favorite aircraft. I am working on the campaign that comes with the Huey. I am still finding what to program to on my J/S and throttle. Having VR (Oculus Rift S), this is so far an amazing experience. Thank you for posting this and other fun Huey stuff. Cheers from Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

    Impressive knowledge. I have only had DCS for about a month now and the Huey for a day. Watching how effortless and fluidly you took off and few was startling. I am shaking like a newborn colt getting up on it's legs for the first time. Taking off is one thing because you can just goose it, peel yourself off the pavement and steady while safely away from hard things. I have yet to land without a fireball around me. In MSFS 2020 I can fly helo's like no one's business. Not DCS. When you're flying in DCS you're flying with the real deal.

      Stick with it, the Huey is one of the best modules in DCS, even though it’s interior is a little dated. Check out my Paradise Lost videos, the campaign is amazing.

    You ought to look a little deeper into the VOR, particularly using radials and the CDI. Using it just for homing like the ADF is limited to subjects you to drift from crosswinds, while using a selected radial and holding the CDI needle in the center will correct for crosswind drift. Using radials is the entire purpose of a VOR, otherwise we would have just stayed with ADFs.

    When using the VOR you also can set the OBS to fly a specific radial in or out of the VOR.

    A friend told me that UH-1H deviate about 1 degrees to the left for every 10nm :d so he used to calculate and add his own course correction to it :D :D it was an awesome trick....only useful if u know how far it is to destination though.
    Shout out to T-Rex, and oddly enough he is Australian too :D :D

  • @RobertGeez

    Many thanks for that. Do these needles automatically follow waypoints that I insert on the mission builder?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you need a radio station for them to tune to and then follow. If you place units in the editor that transmit you can do it that way

    Great more Huey content! I've seen it suggested somewhere to put the sensing switch into the high position, but I see you leave it low on that. Apparantly it's not always needed as you navigate just fine with it on low. Any thoughts on that?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can navigate fine with it on low, high gives a greater sensitivity range.
