There is no problem honoring Mary, the Apostles, and early Christians. The problem takes place when we desire, admire, and honor these "christians" in level with God. Yes, even Mary is also a follower of Christ, she submits to Him the way we should submit ourselves to God.
When it comes to the idea of "Mother of God", I respectfully disagree with this because it contradicts the entire nature of God (Alpha and Omega). As God exist before anything else, Jesus the Son of God exist before Mary (“Before Abraham was born, I am!” - John 8:58). I think the right term would be "Mary the mother of Jesus the Son of God" would be more acceptable. We also don't need these "christians" to act as mediator between Us and God because we already have one, Jesus (“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” - 1 Timothy 2:5). We can directly go to God to give thanks, ask for forgiveness, and ask for our salvation WHY do we need another help from other late christians if Jesus is freely accessible and enough? Mary showed us the best example of obedience ("His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it" - John 2:5), She want us to obey Christ and again what Christ says? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6.
Mary is my sister in Christ, She did played a huge role but that doesn't give her the divine rights to be placed in the same row as our God. She's also a servant, a sinner saved by grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

      Joseph-
You may disagree with me but this is what I believe
All I know is Jesus loved and honored his mother, and so we (Catholics) too, love and honor her. Think of it in this way: If you got sick and asked me to pray for you, would I?? Of course I would.. Our relationship with Mary operates under this same principle. We believe that Mary is dead to this world, but we also believe that she lives on with God for eternity in the next world.
Mary has a unique perspective. It seems that every genuine Christian, not just Catholics, should be interested in that perspective-and not just interested, but fascinated. God became man in Mary’s womb. Mary fulfilled Old Testament prophecies by miraculously conceiving and giving birth to Jesus as a virgin.. Mary suffered with Jesus. We acknowledge her intimate cooperation with Jesus in the redemption of humanity, in his amazing sacrifice for us on the cross. She bore him, raised him, supported him in his ministry, and walked with him every step of the way to his passion and death.
Yes! It’s all about Jesus. Just as we learn much about the life, teachings, and person of Jesus from the Gospels, we can learn much about Jesus from Mary. She has a unique perspective. She can tell us things about Jesus, and teach us things that nobody else can because as his mother no one was closer to Jesus than she was.. Everything Mary does, says and is does nothing but brings us closer to Jesus.
Mary tirelessly brings our needs to her son, and gives us his graces. Whatever we’re struggling with or whatever our loved ones are struggling with, we can bring to Mary by asking her to pray for us the same way you would ask your friend or your preacher to pray for u..
If Mary is the mother of Jesus, and Jesus is God, then Mary is the Mother of God. Saying Mary isn’t the Mother of God denies the divinity of Jesus. This teaching is called “theotokos,” which literally means “God-bearer.” By affirming Mary is the Mother of God, we are affirming the most fundamental Christian truth: Jesus is God.
We praise the Lord Jesus Christ who is God, we do not put Mary in the same category as God at all but we do also love and honor his mother the same way her son did..

‘the Word was made flesh’ [John 1:14]
“This expression, however, ‘the Word was made flesh’ [John 1:14], can mean nothing else but that he partook of flesh and blood like to us; he made our body his own, and came forth man from a woman, not casting off his existence as God, or his generation of God the Father, but even in taking to himself flesh remaining what he was. This the declaration of the correct faith proclaims everywhere. This was the sentiment of the holy Fathers; therefore they ventured to call the holy Virgin ‘the Mother of God,’ not as if the nature of the Word or his divinity had its beginning from the holy Virgin, but because of her was born that holy body with a rational soul, to which the Word, being personally united, is said to be born according to the flesh”- St. Cyril of Alexandria (First Letter to Nestorius [A.D. 430]).
Although Mary is the Mother of God, she is not his mother in the sense that she is older than God or the source of her Son’s divinity, for she is neither. Rather, we say that she is the Mother of God in the sense that she carried in her womb a divine person-Jesus Christ, God “in the flesh” (2 John 7, cf. John 1:14)-and in the sense that she contributed the genetic matter to the human form God took in Jesus Christ.
      Ecumenical Council of Ephesus
“We confess, then, our Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, perfect God and perfect man, of a rational soul and a body, begotten before all ages from the Father in his Godhead, the same in the last days, for us and for our salvation, born of Mary the Virgin according to his humanity, one and the same consubstantial with the Father in Godhead and consubstantial with us in humanity, for a union of two natures took place. Therefore we confess one Christ, one Son, one Lord. According to this understanding of the unconfused union, we confess the holy Virgin to be the Mother of God because God the Word took flesh and became man and from his very conception united to himself the temple he took from her” (Formula of Union [A.D. 431]).

So if I don't ever pay honor to Mary but I keep my mind solely on Christ, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing. I rather keep my mind on Christ everyday, all day, forever so that I may be with God the father. Too many Catholics have started worshipping Mary. I have gone to several Latin American countries and have shocked at what I have seen. Mary EVERYWHERE with Christ no where in sight. In Luke 8:21 didn't Jesus tell us that those that do the will of God are his brothers, sisters, AND MOTHER after Mary and his brothers came to speak with him? Even here in the U.S. I went to mass with my Catholic family one day and near the end of mass they said some type of devotional prayer to Mary and said "I give myself entirely to you." I'm like "What?!?" Then what do they give to God? Why ask those (Mary and so called saints) that don't make promises in the Bible but don't ask the one that made promises? There are even a minority in the Vatican who are concerned that Catholics are moving more towards Mary and farther away from Christ, but they are being hushed by the majority in the Vatican. Read some of the Old Testament books like Samuel and the Kings and you will see just what God did to people who give worship to others instead of to Him.

Theories about this thing are completely unbiblical and pure poison for your soul. Go back to Jesus, ask to him to pray for you, ask him to intercede, bow just to God. Interesting. I'm currently looking into Catholic explanations of what the Marian doctrines actually are. Hearing a Catholic say that Catholics do not worship Mary is a new concept to me.
I realize this is an old video, but I'll leave my question here regardless:
What is the difference between worshiping and honoring?
I will also continue looking for myself. I might come back here, if I find an answer.

    • @richlopez5896

Catholics have NEVER worshipped Mary and NEVER will. We only worship the Holy Trinity. We do honor the Blessed Virgin Mary who is the Mother of God and the Ark of the New Covenant. 'Honouring' is best covered by the ancient Greek word 'timaó (τιμάω), meaning to value, to honour, to have in honour, to revere, or to venerate. 'Worship', however, is best covered by the word 'proskuneō' (προσκυνέω), meaning to prostrate oneself in homage, to do reverence to, to adore, or simply to worship.

Mary can hear us. All those who have fallen asleep in Christ can hear our prayers, through the Holy Spirit which gives them life. They’re not dead. They’re alive in Christ, awaiting the resurrection. Christ is alive.
Also, when we pray to the Saints or the Theotokos, we are asking for their intercession. We ask each other for intercession all the time; asking the Saints should be a natural extension to that.
To not pray to the Saints and the Theotokos would be to deny two important things: that the Saints are alive in Christ and that they are still fully part of the Church.

As Elizabeth says, "And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come unto me?" Luke 1:43
As Thomas says, "my Lord and my God!" Luke 20:28
The inference is painfully obvious, even to a lackwit like me. Mary of Nazareth is the Mother of Our Lord.
Now folk should exercise their gray matter once in a while. Mary did not obviously birth the Father in Heaven, Who Was from all Eternity past. Nor did she even beget the Son, the Second Person of the Godhead, Who Was "before all worlds, Light of Light, very God of very God, being of one substance with the Father...by whom all things were made." (Nicene Creed)
But within her virginal womb, the Incarnate Redeemer was conceived "by the Holy Ghost, and was made man." This is a powerful declaration.

Logically speaking if the LORD means GOD also... therefore, it is Reduncancy to say "My God (Lord) thy God"... or... "My God (Lord) God"... silly isn't it?...
The English Word "LORD" is just an address of respect like MISTER, MADAM or MISTRESS or Your GRACE, or Your HIGHNESS, etc...
TAKE NOTE 2:... all descendants of Abraham the Jews/Israel (including Elizabeth and Mary) up to this day, the Messiah they knew Prophesied by Isaiah is just a Man and NOT the Son of God or has dual (2) Natures (Divine being and Human being)... the English word LORD is often used for Human Beings with Royal Ancestry, Nobility, Teacher or Master of the House.
Christ Jesus Divine being was only exposed/revealed by His Father God during His Ministry of Earth, approx. 30 years after He was born, and revealed to His Apostle Simon Peter...

+Bill What VAIN repetitions do you refer to? Catholics pray not a single pagan prayer. Catholics have no graven images, nor are they worshiped. Just like the huge statues of cherubim in the Temple were not worshiped. Catholics crying at a statute, anthropomorphizing and humanizing it need help-besides, that's no where taught ANYWHERE IN CATHOLIC TEACHING, so even if Catholics were to do such, it would be the same as a Catholic eating a tuna sandwich. It doesn't become 'Catholic' to eat tuna sandwiches because a Catholic or Catholics do it... basic logic.
Comparing a statue of any given saint, a symbol of them at the Church, like a statue on the Ark of the Covenant or in the Temple, is actually secretly alive or another god is RIDICULOUS, and only goes to show you've neither took basic Catholic catechesis or been Catholic every in your life. It does make one suspect you've fallen prey to the insurmountable amount of anti-Catholic rhetoric, lies and propaganda that has built up over the 500 years since the Protestant Deformation began.

They teach to Pray trough Mary which is unbiblical.
They teach and preach that it is dangeous to Pray to God and that it is dangerous to have a personal relationship with God the Father and Jesus
      This is wrong!
      And wicked !
      Jesus is the only way!
Jesus is the mediator not Mary!
If it was true then it would have been in Matthew 6 (the Lord’s Prayer)
Pray to the Father not Mary Or trough Anyone else!
      Only trough Jesus
      This is the correct teaching!
      Mary was the vessel!
She also had to Repent to get saved!
She was chosen, calling the Mother of God is incorrect teaching, clever way of twisting of scripture!
Also Only God can truly forgive, not Anyone else!
This done by the vatican and twisted the most and greatest commandment :
Love one another, forgive one another
This teaches and also is explained in great detail that If we cant forgive another then how we can be forgiven!
t does not teach that we can forgive sins and that All sins are washed away to to say!
Yet this is teaches by the roman Church and is so unbiblical !
      So Catholism is wrong!
Its a man made religion !
Direct i know still the truth and the truth is the Truth!
It is All twisting scripture and changing the Gospel that Jesus teached and preached !
And that is What the vatican and roman Church teaches!
The teach and preach another Gospel!
      God bless

John 2:3-4 3 says: When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." 4) "Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come" The request shows the caliber of Mary's character, she wasn't interested in, say, a healing, she wanted to replenish the booze. Oh, wellll, says the RCC, then lets make mary a queen - of the world - no, of Heaven too! Note: Jesus never called Mary 'mother', she was mentioned only 4 times in the Bible. Mary Magdalene was mentioned 12 times. Jesus did NOT want to 'fix' the problem with the wine. BECAUSE Jesus is without sin, BECAUSE Jesus obeys God the Father's (5th), Commandments, Jesus 'honored' Mary by the miracle. This scripture in NO way teaches anyone to give their affections to Mary instead of Jesus. "Salvation & GLory & Power belong to our God! (Job 33:14). "All Glory belongs to Me".. According to GOD "WE, the Believers, are ALL 'saints'. The priests' and pope r NOT God's ministers. When the Veil was rent top to bottom God signified that man no longer needed a priest as a mediator between God and man because God NOW dwells in each and every Believer...that u mock & curse. ONLY God is Omnipresent. Mary doesn't hear any prayers > God said "Believers go to the grave at death, where they "sleep" until the resurrection" (I Cor 15) (RCC says thousands of them visit earth w/rosaries, medals, scapulars & tell people to pray to them). God never contradicts himself which means 'Mary' (or any of the dead) can not be on earth in any form & r incapable of seeing, hearing or returning to earth before the return of Christ? No one on earth knows 'who' will end up in heaven or hell so why does the RCC pray to dead human creations instead of only the Creator? The Bible plainly says that "no man has ascended to heaven" John 3:13 & "All have sinned" Rom 3:23, & "no one is truly righteous" Rom 3:19, & Jn 5:28 "a time is coming when 'all' who are in their graves will hear His voice & come out" (God didn't say 'except 4 Mary' AND it means there is NO purgatory). Pls explain the RCC AND its followers ignoring God & His teachings only to promote contradictions that serve the creation & 'not' the Creator. “For there is one God, & one mediator also between God & men, the man Christ Jesus” 1 Tim. 2:5. "Is God a liar"? Isa 6:3, or is man a liar? "In vain, they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of MEN" Mt 15:9 u can't serve 2 masters, either make a decisaion to get rid of the lies of man of flesh religions or make a decision to serve God alone.

The "PREPARED BODY" (Hebrews 10:5) of Christ Jesus created solely by God without any DNA of the daughter of Man (Blessed Mary) is also IMMORTAL Body that grows up to be a "Young Adult" w/o growing much OLDER... like ADAM/EVE (1st Ma/Woman) created already as a Young Adults (bet. 21 - 30 years old)... That is why when we die as old people, on resurrection day, God will give us back our Youthful ADULT body again but in IMMORTALITY (Perfect Body).
Have you noticed, narrated in the Scripture, Christ Jesus can walk on water, w/o any human fear, all animals and mother nature obey Him, does not get hurt, cut or bleed blood, does not get sick or catch diseases, can slip/disappear in the crowd unnoticed who tried to hurt him, etc, like ADAM and EVE (before they lost their immortality due to SIN)...

Now, doing MIRACLES like healing, feeding thousands, raising the dead, etc... is God the Father's Doing, and that is why Christ prayed before He perform miracles... at that time, the Power and Authority in Heaven and on Earth were not given unto Him, yet... only after His Resurrection and Ascension in Heaven to seat at the right side of God's throne. (Matt, 28:18).
Christ willfully/voluntarily gave up HIS immortality at the Garden of Gethsemani when He said, "Let this CUP (Sacrifice of the Flesh) pass from ME, lest/yet, not my WILL but yours be DONE."... the Bible narrated that Christ began to "SWEAT WITH BLOOD," and started to feel "Human Fear" by asking 3x His Apostles to pray and watch over His back while He prays to his Father... why?... for He took the SIN of Mankind upon His shoulder at that time, his body was transformed into Mortal Man in a BLINK of an Eye... just like what the Bible narrated, that when the Rapture begins, in the Blink/Wink of an Eye, we will be transformed into IMMORTAL BODIES... the same thing happens to Christ but in reverse... Immortal into Mortal Man to offer His FLESH for the Forgiveness of Man's Sin... How?...
The Bible narrated... "the SIN of the FLESH is for/to the FLESH"... and... "the SIN of the SPIRIT is for/to the SPIRIT"... that is why when we sin against the Flesh (ex, adultery, murder) there is still a chance/hope for FORGIVENESS thru REPENTANCE in God... while... the BLASPHEMY to the Holy Spirit is UNFORGIVABLE OR UNPARDONABLE, even to God... Amen.

Only carnal minded people say that Mary is the mother of God. A person who thinks in the spirit would never say that. Mary WAS the mother of Jesus (in flesh)....that is it. Nothing more. No one existed before God. He is the beginning and he is the creator of all. In the spiritual world, even Christ existed before Mary. God does not want carnal worship. He wants spiritual worship. Mary was a virgin only until the brith of Jesus. After His birth she had more children. She did not get married to Joseph to remain a virgin. If she wanted to remain a virgin then why did she get married to Joseph? . The Gospel of Mark 6:3 and the Gospel of Matthew 13:55-56 state that James, Joses (or Joseph), Jude and Simon were the brothers of Jesus, the son of Mary. The same verses also mention unnamed sisters of Jesus. In Galatians 1:9 St Paul clearly mentions that he met Jesus' brother. "I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother. On the other hand, Mary who was born as a human being died as a human being. She is still among the dead (or in Jesus' terms, sleeping) until her bodily resurrection what St Paul describes in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. So, the dead can't hear your prayers, just like your great grand mother cannot hear what you talk to her. The living have no communication with the dead. That was what Jesus Himself described in his story about poor Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16. Before believing in Catholic lies, please read the Word of God and know the truth.

Mary may be honored or may she be called blessed. But calling her mother of most high " GOD" is a sin. You see if Mary was so close to Jesus why didn't he ever called her mother all his life on earth read John 2:1-11 wedding at Cana when Mary asked Jesus to make wine he replies "Oh Woman, what has this to do with me? My hour has not yet come." Then at another occasion when Jesus was preaching Marry and Jesus's brothers come to see him but he says And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it(Luke 8:21) then even on cross Jesus said "Woman look at thy son (john) " even in his early age never called her mother or Joseph his father read Luke 2:41-52. Now my question is to you is when Jesus him self never addressed Mary as mother or he never preached so, why Catholics like to call her mother of God? I know why because Catholicism it's so much intertwined with roman paganism that as those pagans believed that there is gods and they have mothers and goddesses. STOP PREACHING FALSE TEACHINGS AND GIVING LAME LOGICS. Thank you

Mary is not the "mother of God". Jesus existed before Mary was born, John 1:1. How could she possibly be referred to as the "Mother of God" that is simply wrong and encourages worship of Mary.
Interesting thing is that Jesus himself touched on this very topic while he walked on earth, in Luke 11: 27, 28 "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, BLESSED is the WOMB that BARE THEE, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
But he said, Yea RATHER, BLESSED are they that HEAR the WORD of GOD, and KEEP IT."
Jesus made it pretty clear that day, that's it not about who gave birth to Him, not at all, it's about the word of God (Hearing and Keeping it), that should be our focus. Not Mary.

No, this is not right, You can't honor marry as the Mother of God, she was just one who carried Him, when Jesus layed the Cross, what did he say? "Son here is your Mother, Mother, here is your son"? She was no more to Jesus anymore than he was to a woman (how many times did he call her Woman, not mother?)
Nevertheless, this may seem skeptical or just pure nonsense. You read in the New testament that in heaven there is the throne and the one who sits on the throne (the Father) then there is the Lamb and he has a throne (Jesus) and (marry is not mentioned anywhere, neither is she honoured, or even have a seat next to her "Son") all the honor and Glory belonged to the Lamb and to the one who sat on the throne. No one else, therefore it is a great evil to honour anyone but the Son and the Father, well why is Honouring the son justified? That the Father might receive Glory through Him. What you are doing is nothing but the pure notions of your mind, and not from scriptures of which is the base of all truth and doctrines. Please hear me kindly, Honour belongs to God and God alone, no disciples honoured Mary, we don't read that. Nowhere did it say that Mary is the mediator between God and man, you (Catholic) say these things just because it seems right, but that's not what the Bible says.
You might not listen, I hope you come to the light of fully believing the word only.

Roman Catholics claimed that their St. John Bosco had said, "It is almost impossible to go to Jesus unless we go through Mary."... Sorry, that was a BIG LIE, if that was what John Bosco said, it shows, he was against God... John Bosco was BOASTING to the whole world that if NOT for Blessed Mary who accepted the task God gave her, the Prepared Body (Hebrew 10:5) of Christ Jesus is not possible... FALSE.
But take note... Apostle John, the Baptizer said, "God could make descendants of Abraham out of this stone." (Matt. 3:9/paraphrased)... which means even if she declined the task offered by God, HE can still make another HA ALMAH (young lady/woman) in another time period, for nothing is impossible with God...
If the Pagan/Gentiles/Non-believer (Atheist) could only hear and listen to the Gospel (Biblical) TRUTH w/o compromise which the Christians were commanded by Christ Jesus to Preach/Spread/Share the teaching and commandments of God thru the Gospel (Bible) to the whole world... then, God will make a WAY where there seems to have no more way for those Pagan/Gentiles/Atheists who HEARD and LISTENED to the Gospel Truth, to convert their Souls and Hearts in order for them to have FAITH in Christ Jesus thru God's Grace...
Human beings have NO POWER to "CONVERT SOULS (Spirits)," or to "DESTROY BODY and SOUL/SPIRIT" or to "CONDEMNING SOULS/SPIRITS to Hell," but only God can...
Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen.

Jesus never said all the answers are in the Bible. He never said, "Don't forget to read my book" Jesus never said "Read the Bible and it will get u to Heaven". Jesus never taught Sola Scriptura, that was heretic Martin Luther. Did u know? Early Protestants honored Mary too(Luther,Calvin,Zwingli,Henry VIII. It was later that many of their followers started talking bad about Mary. R u going to say all of them were not true Protestants because they honored Mary? Christians have venerated and honored Mary since the beginning of the Church. Many believers showed respect for his mother Mary. Jesus would never say, don't love my mother, don't respect my mother, don't honor my mother, don't show affection for my mother.

ruben estrada This is what is confusing to me- You say Jesus never created or commanded sola scripture, but did God create and command the catechism?
The other books written by the early church fathers?
Isnt the bible higher than these books written by these imperfect church fathers?
Why does the church view *only* adhering to the bible considered bad but adhering to man made books isnt????
Also have you looked up the definition of "Venerate"??? the definition is *worship* and *glorify* and *exalt*
So veneration *is worship* to Mary-
The link below also shows people *bowing down and kissing Marys feet*
How can this not be considered worship as God said *not to bow down to statues* ????

Elisabeth felt honored that her Lord's mother came to visit her

    • @jvlp2046
      @jvlp2046 ปีที่แล้ว

TAKE NOTE 1: ... Elizabeth did NOT say "Mother of my God" (THEOTOKOS = God-bearer)... the word LORD is referred to as Christ Jesus (Lord of Lords / King of Kings) our SAVIOR... but God the Father is referred to as "LORD thy GOD" or "Lord God." (God of gods and goddesses = Deut. 10:17).
Therefore, there is NO WAY for Elizabeth and Mary to KNOW the word they used as "LORD" means also "God" itself... for it was not revealed yet at that time, logically speaking... it was merely addressed as MASTER or RABBI or their HUMAN MESSIAH/SAVIOR as Prophesied by Prophet Isaiah...
Facts and Truth, Biblically and logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen...

We, Christians partially believe in Nestorianism Doctrine... WHY?... because Nestorianism Doctrine, believed that Christ has 2 SEPARATE individual or Independent natures, the Divine Nature and Human Nature, separately...
Christians believed that Christ Jesus has 2 Natures (Divine and Human) as ONE and the same PERSON, but not separate or independent from each other... Just like the Father (God) and the Son (God) United as ONE and the Same but not EQUAL to each other... Father God is still the HEAD of the 3-Gods... Christ said, "I and My Father (God) are the ONE and the SAME"... "but My Father (God) is GREATER than I AM (Christ Jesus/Word)."
The same ANALOGY... Christ Jesus is both God and Human nature as ONE person but foremost as GOD/Word of God, which means the Divine nature is not equal with the Human Nature... for Christ Jesus is still the WORD of God (Son of the Living God)... the Divine Nature of the Spirit of the WORD existed with God long before the Word had the Immortal Flesh/Body (Human Nature)...
For example...Mr. Smith is both a Family Man and a Police Man in one person, but foremost, Mr. Smith is a Family Man to his wife and children, first...and a Policeman, second.
We do not need the IQ. of Einstein or Tesla to understand and comprehend this matter, unless we have a very slow poor low I.Q., perhaps of a moron (dumb)...

Mary was still the wife of Joseph, she wasn't one with God but one with Joseph; they were both mere humans needing a savior like us. Mary is to be sought as an example but not as a deity. True, we will call her blessed. But how can you worship her, and ask her intercede for you? The scriptures say that you can approach God with freedom and confidence through Jesus Christ but no one else (Ephesians 3:12). Through Jesus, we are God's adopted sons and daughters now, and a son/daughter can talk directly to their Father (Ephesians 1: 4-6 - "he predestined us for adoption to sonship..."). Can you argue with the scriptures?
Can't you see?, God only borrowed her body. That shouldn't make her an equal to God. God the Father + Mary's human nature = Jesus. But the human nature that Mary had and Jesus took, was still in sin but nevertheless, God, as he became a human through Mary's genes, conquered the sin and became the perfect Jesus. So the significant aspect of Jesus is not Mary being his mother, but God being his Father.

That is Horrible Logic, Jesus existed eternally, that means he existed LONG BEFORE MARY. Mary is important yes and she did play a large role in all of this yes, praying for her, no problem.... ASKING A DEAD WOMAN TO PRAY FOR YOU on the other hand, BIG PROBLEM. And please get your stories straight you do worship Mary by elevating her to a status such as that is clear IDOLATRY, I don't care how you sugar coat it, praying to Mary using the rosary which is 90% prayers to Mary instead of God is IDOLATRY , plane and simple Idolatry. God is not and will never be willing to share his glory with someone else, furthermore , let me ask this. So okay fine, Mary was assumed into heaven and has the status of queen, no matter how blessed she may be, she does not have Godly attributes... to hear all of ur Hail Mary's when you chant them, She would need to be Omnipresent... How many human beings do you know that are Omnipresent!!!???? None and there has never and will never be one dead or alive. Brothers and sisters, come to your senses and find the true path through Jesus Christ who is THE ONLY MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN. THE ONLY ONE WHO DESERVES YOUR PRAISE, WORSHIP AND ADMIRATION... NOT MARY, NOT THE SAINTS... THEIR JOB WAS TO HELP YOU FIND AND KNOW GOD... DON'T TWIST AND PERVERT THAT THE WAY YOU HAVE ... YOU ARE SAVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE AND NOT YOUR WORKS LEST ANY MAN BOAST. Repent your sins to the one true God my brothers and sister, for only he is the truth the way and the light , no man cometh unto the father but through Jesus Christ.

ruben estrada. You are right again, my brother. May I add that, before the Bible was written down, Tradition existed. Tradition consisted of the stories, teachings, and practices of the Church founded by Jesus Christ, which were committed to memory and passed down by word of mouth from the Apostles to all the disciples. Most people in those days did not know how to read or write, but they had very good memories because there was nothing much to distract them. In addition to oral teaching, to help these people know and remember their Faith, drawings, paintings and sculptures were made to depict the stories and teachings of Jesus Christ. These early disciples did not worship these icons because they knew that idolatry was a sin againts the First Commandment. They knew that these icons were just visual depictions in the same way that books are to us. It was the learned Apostles and disciples who wrote down the life and teachings of Jesus Christ into what we know as the New Testament. Sacred Tradition remains as part of the deposit of the Faith of the Catholic Church. Then there's the Church Magisterium, or teaching authority, to help Catholics understand and interpret the Bible (consisting of the Old and New Testaments) and Sacred Tradition properly.

Hmm..Mary is an earthly mother of Jesus, she was just used by God as an instrument to deliver His only son Jesus on earth, to do the great commission, to serve and not to be served. To die and redeem us from our sins. God Himself, showed us how to be humble, by sending His only son Jesus Christ to an ordinary person like Mary. God can choose to be born as a rich, but He didn't do that. Mary was only a tool same with John Baptist. You can read, MARK 3:31-35 while Jesus was preaching. "31 Now His mother and His brothers came, and as they were standing on the outside, they sent in to him to call Him, 32 as it was, a crowd was sitting around Him, so they said to Him: "Look, Your mother and Your brothers outside are seeking You." 33 But in reply He said to them: "Who are my mother and my brothers?" 34 And having looked about upon those sitting around Him in a circle, He said: "See, my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does the will of God, this one is my brother, sister and mother."
So, people that became part of Jesus were just instruments to fulfill the great commission that was given to Jesus here on earth. (^__^)

509 'Mary is truly "Mother of God" since she is the mother of the eternal Son of God made man, who is God himself.'- Catechism of the Catholic Church

The phrase “mother of God” originated with and continues to be used in the Roman Catholic Church. One of the topics at the Council of Ephesus in AD 431 was the use of the Greek term Theotókos, or “God-bearer,” in reference to Mary. That council officially proclaimed Mary as the “mother of God,” and the doctrine was later included in the Catholic catechism. The idea behind calling Mary the “mother of God” is that, since Jesus is God and Mary is the mother of Jesus, she is the mother of God.
The major problem with this logic is that the term “God” implies the totality of Yahweh, and we know that Yahweh has no beginning and no end (Psalm 90:2). First Timothy 6:15-16 says that God is immortal. Being immortal, God never was “born” and never had a “mother.” The second Person of the Trinity, Jesus, did have a beginning to His earthly ministry when he was conceived in Mary’s womb and was born, but from eternity past He had always been the Son of God.

@@AnnetteMurphyger-We should distinguish the term Theotokos from mother of God, because there is a subtle yet important difference. The term mother of God could be taken wrongly as implying that Mary was the source or originator of God, similar to how Juno was the mother of Vulcan in Roman mythology. Of course, Christianity teaches that God is eternal and that Jesus Christ has a pre-existent, divine nature. The idea that Mary is the mother of God in the sense that she was the source of God or somehow predated God or is herself part of the Godhead is patently unbiblical.

TAKE NOTE: This Biblical TRUTH came from St. Paul (Apostle to the Gentiles) who wrote his Epistles to the Hebrews regarding the PREPARED BODY of Christ Jesus... it was widely accepted and practiced by the Apostles, Disciples, and Early Christians in the 1st - 3rd Cent. A.D....Bishop Nestorius of Constantinople defend this faith but was defeated by Cyrill in the Council of Ephesus in 431 A.D. and branded him HERETIC and lost his position to the Church that year... thus, became the NESTORIANISM DOCTRINE...
Short History... NESTORIANISM (noun) derived from the name Nestorius, an Early Bishop of Constantinople (Byzantine) in the 4th Cent. A.D. (428 A.D.) whose views on the NATURE and PERSON of Christ Jesus were based on the Epistle of Paul to the Hebrews, which lead to the Council of Ephesus in 431 A.D., to make the story short, Cyrill defeated Nestorius in the long debate and branded him as HERETIC and lost his position in that year...
I truly believe, if that Council of Ephesus debate took place today, Nestorius has a better chance to win the Debate because SURROGATE MOTHERHOOD in those days was not proven possible in those days... at that time, the Church believed the SUN revolve around the EARTH which was the center of the Universe, and the Earth was flat, but today the Church was proven to be wrong... anybody who opposed the Church Doctrine in those days will be excommunicated, branded as heretic or worse, burn alive at stakes.
St. Paul, whom God took by Vision showed him the 3rd Heaven (throne of God), where no other Apostles or Saints have ever seen the place and did not die to tell the story and experience he had...would St. Paul who wrote his Epistle to the Hebrews KNOW NOT what he was talking about the PREPARED BODY created solely by God for His only Son?
God was the first to perform a miraculous FERTILE EGG transplant and the Holy Spirit placed the FETUS in the WOMB of Ha Almah (a Young Lady of 16 - 18 years of age). Angel Gabriel said to Mary, the HOLY SPIRIT will DWELL upon you, (and not the WORD/Son's Spirit)... but the Prepared Human Body created by God alone...
Nestorius even mentioned the APOSTLES CREED recited verbally by the Apostles, Disciples, and Early Christians of the 1st -3rd Cent. A.D.... that says (in part).., "He (Christ Jesus) was CONCEIVED by the Holy Spirit and BORN by the Blessed Mary... (in part)."...

Blessed Mary only just gave birth (surrogate) and not conceived... that was why NICENE CREED was formulated in 325 A.D. but only ratified/proclaimed as OFFICIAL in the 2nd Ecumenical Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. and replaced the word with "INCARNATE" which means both "Conceived and Born" by Blessed Mary with just the help by the Holy Spirit... So, with that, Blessed Mary got ALL the MAJOR CREDIT, that was not supposed for her alone...such as THEOTOKOS (God's bearer) instead of KRISTOKOS (Christ's bearer), Mother of God, Queen of Heaven, Co-Redeemer/Mediatrix, etc...
This so-called Doctrine branded by the Catholic Church as HERETIC did not really comes directly from NESTORIUS VIEWS but was already the belief and practice of the Early Christians before Pagan Rome accepted Christianity (not converted to Christianity)... Nestorius was the first Bishop of Constantinople who stood fearlessly against the Catholic Church Doctrine that branded Him as the Heretical Doctrine of NESTORIANISM... just like other priests and monks who stood against the Man-made Doctrine of the Catholic after him... like the former Catholic monk, LUTHERNISM, the former Catholic priest, CALVINISM... etc.
This was also the beginning of the Great SCHISM of the Eastern Greek and Western Latin Catholic Church when the Roman Catholic declared that the Father and the Son are not only UNITED as ONE but both are EQUAL in Power and Authority... The Roman Catholic definition of TRINITY is "3 Gods in 1, United and Equal to each other"... which is Non-Biblical TRUTH... The Father God is still the HEAD of God the Son and God the Holy Spirit... Biblical proof?
1 Corinthian 11/paraphrase... "The HEAD of Christ is God, the Head of Man is Christ while the Head of Woman is Man"... Praise be to God in Christ...Amen.

Does the Bible say Mary is the mother of God? Uh, NO!! At Luke 1:31, 35, the angel says to Mary: "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God."
So, was Mary the mother of God? No. Instead, she was to become the mother of the Son of God.

It doesn't matter how you feel what matters is what the Bible says. The Bible says absolutely nothing about God saving Mary in a different way or giving her any kind of special grace not to sin. Nothing about her not sinning or being sunless, nothing about making statues or images of her, nothing about bowing down to her or honoring her, nothing about praying to her, and certainly nothing about her playing part in our salvation.

@@kevinkane9446 here, lemme be a bit more specific. She was saved by Jesus, but she was sinless. The Holy Bible calls her the New Eve, as she was meant to be the Eve that didn't fall. Therefore implying her sinlessness. Moreover, I believe the Bible says that she can overpower Satan, once again implying sinlessness. As far are praying to her, praying can literally mean asking for help in prayer. For example, asking her to pray for us. She also does not play a role in our salvation, for that is from God. However, saying Hail Mary is a good way to keep your faith and it asks Blessed Virgin Mary to pray for us. As statues go, I do not see a difference between making a statue of Winston Churchill and making a statue of her. We honor her by making statues, we in no way worship her, as that is idolatry. And no, it's not a sin to make statues, as God commands it to Moses in the Old Testament. (Making statues of angels, graven images are when you worship statues, which we don't do.)

    • @kevinkane9446
      @kevinkane9446 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@animationandhistory7793 In order to make claims about the bible you need to provide scripture to back it up, you made a lot of claims that you did not provide scripture for. You would have to provide a scripture that says Mary is sinless because Mary refers to Jesus as her savior in Luke 1:47. Mary was a sinner in need of a savior just like the rest of us.
      Romans 3:10-12 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
That scripture includes Mary. Mary had a special purpose but there are no scriptures to say or imply she was sinless, that she could over power Satan, that she was the new eve or that she had any kind of power whatsoever.
Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
There's nothing wrong with honoring someone but Catholics do far more then honor Mary. When you make a statue to pray and BOW down to it that is idolatry. If you bow down to something or pray to something you are giving worship to it.
Acts 10:25-27 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself." Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.
Revelation 22:8-9 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”
Peter said he was only a man and told Cornelius to get up and the angel told John he was a fellow servant and Mary is no different she is only a servant chosen by God not the queen of heaven. I could give more examples but God is clear in the bible that He doesn't want us bowing down to people, statues or images. There is a big difference between making a statue for the purposes of honoring someone vs making a statue for the purposes of praying and bowing down to it because God is clear He does not want you bowing down to statues.
Leviticus 26:1 Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁. I am the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 4:16 The Lord spoke to you at Mount Horeb out of the fire. But you didn’t see any shape or form that day. So be very careful. Make sure you don’t commit a horrible sin. Don’t make for yourselves a statue of a god. Don’t make a god that looks like a man or woman or anything else. Don’t make one that looks like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the sky.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD; that is my name my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.
Mary is not bringing your prayers to God in heaven. God said He will not give His glory to another. Mary would certainly be considered "another" nor His praise to carved idols which is what a statue of her is. Again to make a statue of her and bow down to it is idolatry and God is not giving His praise to a carved idol. She is not the queen of heaven and cannot intercede for you because she's dead and God doesn't share His glory with anyone. Jesus is the only one you can pray to in order to get your prayers to God the father. You can ask a friend(WHO IS ALIVE) to pray for you we are instructed to do that as well as pray for others but once someone is dead they can't pray for you or bring your prayers to God in heaven.
Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
Isaiah 8:18 And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?
The Bible says to inquire of our God not dead saints. To pray to someone who is dead and ask them to intercede for you and bring your prayers to God is inquiring of the dead and that is forbidden by God. Mary can't hear your prayers and there are no scriptures that say she can.
Deuteronomy 18:11 Or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead,
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Just thoughy I'd throw this in because when you go to confession and the priest tells you to say five hail Marys and five our fathers or whatever he tells you the Bible tells us not to be repetitive with our prayers. Just like the rosary is none sense God doesn't want you to repeat the same thing 20 times over.
Also to clarify when the angel came to Mary and said Hail it was a greeting as to say hello. When you look at the context he wasn't bowing down to her. Saying hail Marys is a horrible way to keep your faith as you put it, how about reading the bible and following Jesus that seems like a better way then saying hail Marys.
I just provided you a lot of scripture to show that God doesn't want you bowing down to statues, praying to dead saints, or repeating your prayers. You need to ask Jesus Christ to show you the truth not your priest or Mary or dead saints but Christ Himself.

Yes, Christ freely gave Himself as a sacrifice to God for our sins. Amen! Christ died for all humanity, including Mary as I mention in the video, because of His love for us!

Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Idolatry is a sin.

John 1: 1 - "In the beginning... the Word was God." John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh(no born) and dwelt among us, full of grace and the truth," (This passage indicates that God's Word incarnated in baby Jesus after his birth, not at conception Mary). Conclusion: God by the power of the Holy Spirit begat child into womb of the Virgin Mary. After baby was born, the Word of God incarnated in him, and dwelt in the son of God. When Jesus grew up, Word of God proclaimed Good News through him, made Jesus the mediator between Him and people, and Jesus by the Holy Spirit has healed every disease.

The video clearly stated that Jesus was God and Man. Mary was the mother of the human aspect of Jesus. But Jesus existed as God long before Mary was even born.

I would like to explain how Jesus was born, he was born in mother Mary, by the Holy Spirit which is the spirit of God the father, and the angel told her , that he is holy , so there no way Mary gene was found in the Jesus as normal birth of human, so only Mary knew that he is the Son of God , she surrender herself to the will of God , and also you read in the bible that Mary gave birth to further children in the natural way of human. Please understand the scripture with the help of Holy Spirit who will help you.
    God bless.

Nothing is wrong with only giving honour to Jesus. Also nothing is wrong with giving honour to his mother either

Of Course, Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ...with respect!! i don't understand why you pray and in your song book sang through Mary asking Jesus to forgive.. why can you ask directly in Jesus Christ... after all He is our savior, King and God beloved son without Him no one can reach to the Father??? Is She given the authority as God...

Only sinners need to be saved. If mary is as the catholic church teaches free from the original sin, why then whould she proclaim the need of a Saviour? I'm confused. Also when the angel visited mary, the angel told her this:"the holy spirit will come upon you, and the power of the highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that the holy one who is to be born will be called the SON of GOD.

While the Baby was still in the womb of Blessed Mary... there was only one Nature, which is the Prepared Body (Human Flesh)... but as soon as the BABY was born in Bethlehem which means "House of the Bread"... the Spirit of the WORD immediately dwelt upon the Prepared Body... the way the Spirit of the Word enters the Prepared Body as a baby boy, Jesus... the same way, the Spirit of the Word left the dying Body at the Cross...
Christ said, Father, into Thy (God's) hands I commit (place) My SPIRIT (WORD)."... So the Dead Prepared Body was placed in the Tomb without the Divine Nature of Christ, already with God... then, when God resurrected the Prepared Body into Immortality, the Spirit of the Word dwells again in the Immortal Prepared Body of Christ, so when Christ ascended back to Heaven, The WORD/Christ have already 2 natures as ONE, the Divine (God) and Perfect Man (the NEW ADAM)... Amen.
