I have a theory for why this probably happened. I noticed that the "unmodded" car is actually US. (Or at least it was US sometime during its life.) The outer doors on the upper floors have that US "lip" where the doors meet. The door track on that car is also different. That car has stainless steel and the others have the brass color and the typical Otis type track from that time period. What I'm guessing is A; the four - two across from two - were installed original to the building. The one leftmost on the side with three was added in later by US when the building expanded and added the three low rise US cars. B; All five cars were installed originally by Otis, and sometime down the road US did a mod on that single car. I think the latter is unlikely, but I'm 90 percent sure the "unmodded" car was US sometime in its lifetime. So during this most recent mod, Otis might've had some trouble with converting the US equipment with the other four old Otis cars. I could be wrong entirely and it could be a budget thing, but the main thing is that car with the original fixtures was US. Anyways, I'm going back to hiding lol. I thought you might find that information interesting.

The one that gets me is they literally scrapped 52 perfectly good AMF 82-70 pinspotters in their bowling ctr. and replaced them with Brunswick GS-X machines. The 70s would've run forever. The GS-Xs are all plastic crap... and they spent a half million dollars doing it.

This is one of those "as needed" mods. They all got new doors replaced the original Lion doors from MGM.
