I had my melee skill at 100.... at that level, even Lead Pipes are lethal later in the game. Speaking of that i actually did kill Lanius with a Lead Pipe once :D Plus, i wanted to duel him with the Bumper Sword, simply cuz he has a huge ass sword too.
Romans loved adopting gear from other civilizations that proved useful so they definitely would use guns. Probabaly would side with the NCR since they're "civilized" with a form of republic.

I found out it is still used in the game. So how you hear it is well by being at Hoover Dam if your fighting in the Legate Camp you will hear this but if you at the Dam itself then you will hear the NCR Version. That's all

NCR grows every day, takes more than it can handle and it has problems with law-breakers and even gangs but the congress in Shady Sands hasn't showed it really cared about it. Legion doesn't have such problems. Legion has its people fighting for greater cause (whether they know it or not), and that is to ensure survival of humanity. Slavery is important to build a better society in such world. NCR troops themselves know that what they are supposed to promote is a joke. They enlist for money.

You'll advance more using slaves. Not much is known about Legion's cities, but there are many, so you have no basis on which you could say that Legion is just a war-machine. Traders also claimed that it's safer, and sometimes more profitable to work in Arizona, than in NCR lands.
As far as women are concerned, Female Courier can make Caesar change his mind (if you finish the game for Legion, that is). It is common sense to go and live somewhere where you would do much better. Your comparison of such between DPRK and USA is not good (but it would take me ages to explain why, so if you really care, PM me). However, in a post-apocalyptic world, a civilization based on discipline won't bring world to new apocalypse. NCR on the other hand will, I'll write in next comment why.

The NCR forced people under its legislation; I suppose House did the same to those who were in Vegas. The Legion trained mostly soldiers; women were treated poorly and quite a few people became slaves. The Brotherhood of Steel was interested only in its self; it did not share the technology it salvaged (or stole). So, I guess an ideal solution is absent.
Fallout New Vegas is morally grey in terms of the factions available , this makes it a far better and more realistic game than Fallout Four because I’d have to do decide what will benefit the wasteland in the long term and whether the cons are worth it for each faction .
On my first playthrough of fallout NV I joined caesers legion on accident and when I had to kill mr house i felt so badalmost cried, so im gonna playthrough again and go on NCR team and mr house team :3
