This is actually pretty good. Loads of people when they make fan songs meant to be "canon" to the environment always make them too meta. Mentioning things the characters should never know or saying things out of character for the faction. This sounds what I would expect Legionnaires to hum on way to battle.

Even as a diehard NCR player, I love it when the Legion gets cool shit that hypes them up or makes them cooler. Partly because theyre a cool faction, but also because it only makes defeating Lanius and breaking Caesar's horde at Hoover Dam feel even more legendary than they already do.

I checked you can march on this song. The pure harmony vocal is pretty good for letting you rest in a natural rithem before taking it back into a hard march of left, left.. left right left.
I can imagine this being heard as the Courier crosses the dam, only for the song to falter or break depending on if the Courier convince Lanius to retreat or kill him.

What could be cool is a song recounting the origins of the legion. Could have it start very calm and slow. Detailing how the legion grew tribe by tribe. Then as they smash greater and great foes it would get faster and grander music wise. And the final bit would be a cry out to take Rome (vegas). Or could be cool to due a song about some of the legions crushed enemies like the hang dogs or twin mothers

His a general a commander though lanuis isn't afraid to get in to fight his job as the literal high command of the legion second to Casesr is to direct troops, and he can only do this from the back. You can't really send command protocalls while being shot and bombarded by NCR mortars. It's less to do with him being afraid and more to do with him making sure he actualy gets his men to victory. We got to remember lanuis before becoming legate was Caesers top fielded centurion who conquered 14 extra tribes in 7 years and absolulty wipped the Sun dogs and took Denver. And he did this while leading in the front and this was all thanks to having a wider field of vision and being capable of sending troops and lead in any direction. But at Hoover Dam, the Dam is just 1 thin road and the only direction is straight ahead, it makes communicating with untis from the front difficult as the only logistics line up is behind. Meaning your more likley to get bogged down when communicating orders and the people sending those orders are more likely to block the charging leganaires while getting shot from behind. Which can cause a pilling of bodies which block out more soldiers, causing them to trip and sowing confusion in the ranks, not to mention many Legion officers can take the legioners sending info and commands who are running away from the battle as deserting cowards and execute them It's litraly how Graham lost the first battle of Hoover Dam as all his centurions were leading from the front and when they got picked off it caused confusion in the ranks and causing many legioners to break away and leave the battle believing the entirety of the leader ship chain and at worst Graham himself to have died.
Been siding with House for like every play through I've made besides the ones that I did when was a kid and sided with the NCR. Made a first play through as the Bull and can say that despite Caesar's yapping if you refuse to satisfy his needs and wills and his "neo-luddism" mongol empire vibe, Legion could've been a cool faction. I wish they gather the old lads from Obsidian to actually work for the NV2 or something where they'd basically repeat the same scenario of original NV, but with time story moved further and Vegas and Mojave being more developed. Techno legion on one side, Republic on the other, maybe resurrect Benny. Basically you get the same story line and won't have to yap what was cannon and what's not.

It's litraly how Graham lost the first battle of Hoover Dam as all his centurions were leading from the front and when they got picked off it caused confusion in the ranks and causing many legioners to break away and leave the battle believing the entirety of the leader ship chain and at worst Graham himself to have died.

Been siding with House for like every play through I've made besides the ones that I did when was a kid and sided with the NCR. Made a first play through as the Bull and can say that despite Caesar's yapping if you refuse to satisfy his needs and wills and his "neo-luddism" mongol empire vibe, Legion could've been a cool faction.
I wish they gather the old lads from Obsidian to actually work for the NV2 or something where they'd basically repeat the same scenario of original NV, but with time story moved further and Vegas and Mojave being more developed. Techno legion on one side, Republic on the other, maybe resurrect Benny. Basically you get the same story line and won't have to yap what was cannon and what's not.
