We’re hosting an Italian exchange student. She is one amazing kid. She knows 5 languages. I’m so impressed with what she knows about America. We’re planning to go visit her at her home in the next year.
I took the trip in 2000, my company downsized and i took my severnce and visited my sons in Germany for Christmas. The best trip ever. Take the trip ❤❤❤.
Girl. Take the trip. If Alex doesn’t want to go, take the older 2 or 3 and take a week with them! I’m sure it sounds daunting but that is an experience you and the kids will NEVER forget.
THIS!!! i feel like i’ve heard daydream about a trip like this for so long! might even be fun to take sets of kids at different times and different places!
If my guy pointed out, to me, that something was dirty, I would tell him to clean it. He would never do that, though. If he thought it needed cleaning, he would just clean it. We both live here. Wolfgang saying, thank you. Sssooooo cute!!! I forgot, I wanted to say, HAPPY HALLOWEEN🦇🎃🦇
My hubby is retired airforce. He started criticizing my ironing , because he obviously did a better job than I did he has done all the ironing since… that is 45 years. No. Complaints from either of us ✅💕
I definitely vote for take the trip! If you can afford it now, don't wait...life can change so fast and you could miss your chance. We went to France last summer with our 6 year old and she loved it and was the best little traveler.
You have asked about the lifted "stage" area in your movie room and I have often wondered why that is there as well. In the latest Beeston Family video where they show their dream basement it all made sense! That is for a higher sofa/loveseat behind a lower row. It makes more sense for the closet to be at the back as well, and maybe even having the bathroom "behind" the theater space.
Watched this last night as well, rewatching today as I clean my kitchen. With all the years we've been friends I didn't realize Eleanor shared a birthday with my late brother! I love that ❤
You do so much everyday, it was adorable that you distracted him with helping with the laundry and he kept saying thank you it was so cute. Kim, you film, edit and give so much enjoyment to your friends that watch you all the time, I can always count on your videos being up, even when I am Distracted with things of life as soon as I turn on your video, it all goes away, Thank You For Being A Friend!!❤️❤️
When I was younger and my children were home, I truly enjoyed making Thanksgiving dinner. I am now 60 and my kids have their own dinners etc. So this year my husband, his cousin and I will be going to a local dinner buffet. I think anywhere with anyone on Thanksgiving is a beautiful blessing. Home is literally where your freinds, family and heart is.🦃
That little contact lense balanced on your finger for ten minutes 😅 I can’t even put one in my eye scares me. Glasses 🤓 or nothing. Kim I hope you know how loved you are ❤
Kiiiiimmmmm im so excited i just got my put a little happy in your day sweater today in heather gray👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 fits great and soooo cozy! Cant wait to rock it💜💜💜💜
I'm on day 907, on duolingo. I've been doing Spanish. I finished the last version they had before the pandemic and wanted to get back into it. I've worked my way up to level b1. Or section six. But I had to take a break because my brain just didn't work enough for it then. I'm currently doing piano on duolingo. Which is great but also makes me feel occasionally extremely dumb. But I have dyscalculia and that is why it's extra hard sometimes, but thankfully, I'm not a quitter and stubborn as heck. The only real qualm I have with the app is that it doesn't teach you how to make your own sentences and how to have proper conversations. Language is a living skill. I speak Swedish and English fluently, and it feels like I'm too old at 37, with a brain scarred by a lot. I just can't retain it like I used to. But anything is better than nothing. I've also taken Chinese, did some Japanese, and some Greek. All schools should provide foreign languages at a young age. But most importantly they should all learn the country's sign language.
I agree with everybody take the trip. You never know what life can bring you and then you might regret it. Have fun. Enjoy it while you can make memories with your family.
Being an American sounds stressful with all those holidays to celebrate haha 😆 Here in New Zealand we basically only have Christmas! There’s Easter but that’s a reasonably small holiday, then there’s the long weekends like Anzac Day, Waitangi Day, Kings birthday, Labour Day… I think that’s all of them 🤔 but the only thing people actually celebrate here and do an actual gathering with family is Christmas so it’s pretty chill here the rest of the year 😎
Recently introduced, Matariki! But I agree, here in NZ Christmas is the big one. Although, I don't know if you agree Halloween is getting bigger. Hi from Tauranga 😊😊
@@kerynxoxo5685Oh yay a fellow Wads fan from NZ! Hi from Dunedin 😁 Oh yes I forgot Matariki since it’s fairly new. I feel like Kiwis are just really chill about holidays compared to Americans. I grew up not having anything to do with Halloween and it seems like stores are trying to push it more these days but honestly I don’t see it ever being a true “holiday” here. Only one house in my neighbourhood attempted decorating lol
Really hope you can come to Europe soon 🥰 totally appreciate the price as we feel the same planning to come to Florida from the UK 🫣 my husband and I lived in Belgium for 3 years around 16 years ago and took our 14 year old for a visit at the weekend. It was wonderful to see old friends and show her our favourite places. I mean she is 14 so said mostly “meh!”🤣 but I loved it 😃 since the weekend hubby and daughter have been on Dualingo 🤣 although as soon as we tried to speak French/Flemish the locals spoke to us in perfect English *shame* 🤣 I think it’s good to try though 😃 love your vlogs so much - big fan 😃🥰🥰🥰xxx
I know what you mean about being able to speak another language. My cousin married a woman from Poland and she can speak 4 languages. That is awesome that you girls know Spanish and learned it at a young age. That is the best time to learn language.
I think we're friends in real life because your videos keep me laughing. We're on the same wave length with household chores! Printer ink does cost more than blood and sometimes sheets can get crusty. But hey! That's life and we're doing our best! Love the videos❤😊 Wishing you and your family the best everyday!
I have a confession. If I'm not leaving the house for the day I just stay in my pyjamas. Then again my home life is totally different than Kim's. Speaking of Halloween (we DON'T indulge) but I said to our black cat "It's black kitty day today" she gave me a sweet look and "HIIISSS!!!" I said "There's my little gremlin". Then she literally skipped away. She's a clever kitty.🐈⬛
My 2 year old loves to put laundry in the dryer too! I never really cared for The Gaines. My favorite cookbook is The Pioneer Woman. If I could go to her store I would probably be a kid in a candy store if it wasn't for lead being in all her coloring. Aside from that I used to have all her cookbooks until I just printed out all the ones I wanted and made my own cookbook.
Love your vlogs. You are the best with an adorable family. Love your trusty assistant Wolfgang. Your vlogs are so down to earth and real. Have a great weekend!
I love watching your videos. My favorite part today is how excited Wolfgang was helping you with loading the laundry. The thank yous were so adorable. He had no idea he was working. Lol loved it!❤
My favourite family picture I have seen was my friend and her kids they all wore denims, white tea shirts and were bare footed it was so simple but so impressive x
Kim, I love you so much. I haven't been watching as regularly bc it's been a busy season but I catch up, and you are so encouraging!!!!! 🎉 I also use my blue land tabs in different bottles 😂 Thanks for posting for all of us 💪
You will have that Joanna Gaines recipe book forever…family heirloom! Glad you treated yourself and bought it…and your family benefits from it too.Win-win!
Doulingo is great! You can see word for word translation. Our girls switched to Rosetta Stone this year and they much prefer Doulingo. Europe…yes to Italy and yes to where you lived. We lived in PT for a few years and I would have loved to show our family around, but they never visited. 😢
My kids do it and they could order in Spanish at the Mexican restaurant and it was so cool!I am on 36 days now of doing it!My husband is Latino, but he was adopted when he was 4 and forgot the language.I think it helps me know some so far!❤
I make my snicker dates by cutting the date open, remove the pit and put a walnut and a bit of peanutbutter inside. Fold it close and dip in chocolate and freeze it for a little snack
I love sharing your "Around the House Happenings!" And you DO get your life together - Brownie Friday and all. Hope you and the family enjoy a Hauntingly Happy Halloween!!! 🎃🎃🎃
I was at the store the other day and I saw an affordable pot that goes into the oven... The one you use to make the Bread! And I'm so Happy to get it because I'm about to make Bread! Like you! Woman across the Room! 😉 Ok... Languages! My Literal passion! I grew up in France from African parents who used to speak their language with e/o but never with me! What? Why?... Anyway. Instead I learned English & German... And by the time I was 13 I was a trilingual girl walking around! But then I stopped German and forgot it all! 😪 So the first lesson would be to not let Eleonor stop Spanish because she will forget! Then for you, if you have been around people having conversations in German as a child.... You might understand it, still! You just don't realise it! Then you need to figure out How you learn Languages... Some people grow never hearing another language, the Monos (Monolinguals 😂). They need to learn how the foreign language works opposing theirs "I say Their, they say Areno". The Bilinguals or kids of parents with multiple languages hear different languages from birth so they're able to Guess what the other mean w/o knowing what the words are. And so learning a language will be better done by traveling in the country and watching TV shows with subtitles etc. From there, you can pick the best Method/App you need! On Netflix, there's a Series called "The Empress"... It's about Sissi the Empress and it's all in German, I. Loved it! As far as traveling to Europe goes... You could travel to Spain, by plane... Then get on a Huge boat and travel to Italy... Then come back and get on a plane agagin, or go to Portugal then get on a plane again! It's a beautiful country Portugal but it might not be what you're after if you going for a Language trip! Spain, Boat, Italy, Spain then Flight home would be the best safest way for your entire Family! The Baby is the Cutest!!
Florida resident here- hey if you ever want to do a "fall" vacation and see an actual apple orchard (love it!) rent a cabin up in Blue Ridge Georgia! Go around the third week in October- right before Halloween to see the fall colors! You can get a cabin at high elevation- so beautiful! Then go to the Mercier Apple Orchard. They do tractor rides thru the orchards- you get to pick some apples. The store and bakery is SO good. The apple fritters & Dutch apple pie to die for! Happy Halloween!🎃
Blue Ridge resident here! 👋 If you plan to come rent a cabin in the month of October, book your rental well in advance (like 6 months minimum)as that’s the very busiest time of the year. Also, make dining reservations if you plan to eat out. It’s a gorgeous place to be, but it’s unbelievably popular this time of year and can be a bit overwhelming if you’ve never experienced it before. Also, apple picking is over by October but Mercier still has a great market, tractor rides and lots and lots of yummy apple and pumpkin treats!
My grand daughter got into my markers in my room and colored my white sheets I washed them and guess what I now have her artwork forever, well as long as the sheets last. Lol
Our house number growing up was 1 off of a local pharmacy and SO often elderly people would call and leave their medication order on our voicemail!! 😳 My parents would always call them back to make sure they knew we weren’t the pharmacy, but it was always so crazy to me!! Lol
Happy Halloween Kim. I hope you all have a great time tonight with the kids. I'm stuck in the hospital so don't get to see the kids. Thank you for being a friend.❤❤
Lol your discussion about travel descending to “I wish I learned more German and I made bad choices and and and” I have made that dive that always goes to “I should be studying on duolingo” lol. You prob do not want to plan to drag around a two year old in Europe but you can do it. I would wait one more year or find a relative who can babysit him for a week so you can go travel with the big kids. I’ve watched some families do it and it takes a really strong pair and the big kids backing you up with patience and willingness of each of you to go do stuff alone with the kids in case something happens, someone gets sick etc. I would say the best thing would be to practice with small trips with Wolfgang and Meredith along going to more adult type activities which is what you want to share with the girls or at least family activities with big kids. You could do a trip to a resort type setting in Italy or Spain where you can have a home base and do day trips. Switching hotels often would be hellish with kids’ stuff needing to be wrangled but if you ultra simplify everything and practice you can make it work. It’s mostly the age of two to three which is rough to calm and keep occupied when you want to explore. Maybe this is your Disney year and go to Epcot to give them a small taste of cultures but really it’s not the same. But if that’s all you can do (and it’s not minor bc it’s so $$)then do thjat but don’t do it in summer bc it will be so miserably hot and crowded. Do it in spring or even do it as a family gift this Christmas and skip half the shopping and work. You can even stay for actual Christmas at Disney and it’s fun. They bring kids stockings and all the fare and you do family Xmas at home also or not. It would also cover a couple of birthdays probably and skip all the fluff of a home bday party. I don’t remember whose bdays are November December but I do remember it was several. Xmas at Disney is fun and will save you so much work at home in some ways and you a day at Epcot to explore the countries and dine in one of them for a special dinner etc. alas if you do want to do Europe, check out Rick Steves travel books on family travel and I’m sure many more will help. I watched the Balllinger family go to Europe and they had a bunch of kids and baby in tow and minimized their packing massively. She also speaks on what to bring in on board bags to keep little ones busy I think that is compact etc. It’s a fun idea and you may have to tailor your day around making Wolfgang happy and having his nap time. He’s not used to being out all day like if you went to a tour all day so maybe do some practice with going to Busch gardens and seeing how he does in midday nap time with stroller napping etc. A lot of people will break the day ip and do a morning activity and gube baby a hotel nap and go back for later afternoon and evening stuff (thinking Disney) ao you can break it up. Also your big kids if they stay together could do Disney by themselves for a couple of hours while you took baby back to hotel to nap if he can’t pass out in a stroller. Consider needing to carry him a lot and up and down hills and stuff bc off road means strollers aren’t usable and there are loads of stairs but really depends on what and where you choose to go. it’s a lot to contemplate but really people do it and there are places to learn how to do it. It’s just that you can’t keep him contained a ton or he will be a nightmare so you need to choose places and activities he can wiggle and play and won’t be bugging people. Look at family friendly resorts and even smaller hotels that are geared for family. Alternatively you could take just the big girls on a mom and daughter trip to Europe with a tour company and have it nicely planned out and have the enjoyment you are seeing but maybe Alex can stay back for this one if he’s not into the scenario. My aunt took my cousins for a Paris trip and they had a blast. It was very girl oriented and they just did the highlights. If you want a cultural dive into Italy check out some fam friendly tours bc they prob deal with kids and their needs better and know the ways to deal with it. Anyways I’m rooting for you and it can be done somehow. I hear you having the travel itch. (Sorry so long but it speaks to me and travel is so precious and priceless in educational opportunity. HJust doooo it in whatever form you can make it happen!
Can you make a video solely on your experiences while living in Europe and how it differentiates to here in the states?! Also, I’ve been to Spain, specifically Madrid, Barcelona Toledo, and Valencia. Barcelona was my Favorite!
You are correct….,we do way more in a day than we think. And as long as the children are being taken care of and the house is reasonably clean…..life is good. Worrying about what we didn’t get done is a waste of time. Go along the day and due what you can. If you feel stressed ( by the way, should you eat something sweet? After all stressed spelled backwards is desserts. Haha). If the chore/activity causes too much stress…..scale it down. No one else cares as much as you do.
Joanna Gaines never changes…she is just who you see and what you don’t see, just like you. Lots of hard work that most people never see. Do what you can when you can! Stuff will wait…kids won’t. They’ll soon be grown and off to college! What??🍁🍁🍁🥰🥰🥰
My daughter's birthday is the day before Thanksgiving too! We always celebrate her birthday the Saturday after Thanksgiving 🥰 The year she was born, she was born on Thanksgiving, and her birthday hasn't been on it since
Travelling is always great! Fingers crossed, that you can / will take the trip! I'ld be very curious, what you'ld say about Europe and your experiences over here. I always loved, that we get to learn a lot of languages (not everyone, but many). Would you mind telling me, from where in Germany your family is? Just being curious... Have a great day! Becky
I think acquiring a second language is a great idea. I took French in high school and Spanish in college. I remember very little. In fact, I know one French phrase that means “We didn’t bring our bicycles.” I am aware that I would have little use for this phrase in Europe. Duo lingo is a good idea.
Love how easily you distracted Wolfgang in the laundry room! And his “thank yous” each time you handed him more laundry were the cutest!
Kim, I HAVE to have a morning checklist or I am a mess lol!

You are right! Dark colors especially show the grim. I’ve had white floors and cabinets and it seems to have a fast clean up.
I love how she says, "Look at my magazine," and proceeds to carry it around the house. Putting it down and picking it right back up again!
If you plan to come rent a cabin in the month of October, book your rental well in advance (like 6 months minimum)as that’s the very busiest time of the year.
I believe you have a whole lot german friends on here, so do it, just hop back on the german langsamer. Happy Halloween from northern Germany ❤
When I was growing up, our house number was one digit off from a pizza place! We always had people calling and trying to order pizzas!!! :)
Yes Kim. Do it. The little ones will benefit from the hols too. 😘
Tyvm.
Kim, which scent from Magic Candle Company has been your favorite? I’m thinking about purchasing ❤❤
Lol
Oh my goodness, Wolfgang is so stinking adorable!
Joshua Weissman had a video the other day that mentioned pope's bread Panpepato! Blew me away. I have never heard someone mention it besides you.
Just do it, you'll not regret it!! ❤
Wolfgang is adorable.
Thank you for sharing ❤
Happy Halloween Kim. I hope you all have a great time tonight with the kids. I'm stuck in the hospital so don't get to see the kids. Thank you for being a friend.❤❤
Feel better real soon! Happy Halloween! 👻🎃
😂 Little boys ! ❤ My son was an adventurous little guy too !
I was born and raised in southern Italy! I want to take my boys soon! 🇮🇹
HAPPY FALL THURSDAY IN OCTOBER Kim, family, and feathered friends. Enjoy your day! STTB
Joanna Gaines never changes…she is just who you see and what you don’t see, just like you. Lots of hard work that most people never see. Do what you can when you can! Stuff will wait…kids won’t. They’ll soon be grown and off to college! What??🍁🍁🍁🥰🥰🥰
Happy Halloween i made the healthy chocolate bar with dates its so amazing my favorite
I had to buy the cookbook too. We just toured the Magnolia Castle (featured on the cover) a couple weeks ago!
My daughter's birthday is the day before Thanksgiving too! We always celebrate her birthday the Saturday after Thanksgiving 🥰 The year she was born, she was born on Thanksgiving, and her birthday hasn't been on it since
I love your glasses look also! So cute! Not all of us can pull off the big frames.
Oh my, favorite part is Wolfgang thanking you with each handful of wet clothes to put in the dryer.
You making salmon, got me in the mood, thanks Kim, have a great day with family and friends ☮️💜

My friend is moving to Spain in two weeks. She got tired of Florida. Also, I use Duolingo for French. I luv it! J'adore le francaiş😊
I’ve always wanted to learn a second language so more power to ya! ❤❤
Morning Kim! Morning party people!
dumb
