INSIDE AMG | One Man, One Engine - How an AMG Engine is built (3/3)

It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Join Cornelius and David in the exciting conclusion of the engine building journey at AMG in Part 3 of the engine manufactury special of INSIDE AMG.
Continuing from where we left off, Cornelius and David methodically assemble additional engine components, including the crankshaft, Lanchester linkage, main bearing bridges, and more. Precision is key as they inspect the sealing ring before injecting sealing compound into the control housing cover. Simultaneously, they complete the primary drive assembly by installing control gears and sliding rails. Cornelius takes the reins, personally fitting the control housing cover.
As all components fall into place, and every inspection gate is successfully passed, it's time for the final steps.
The engine undergoes a cold test to ensure it's in peak condition. And in an unforgettable moment, Cornelius is bestowed with the honor of signing the engine's badge.

How do you endure that the worker do not forget any part, or how is ensures he always tighten all screws correctly ?

So all (manual) screwing processes are 100% checked by automatic process control such as e.g. 100% camera check ?
So if e.g. one screw is not or only partially tightened, how will you recognize this ?

Was für eine Show. Ist ein normaler Motor wie jeder andere……. Die Konstruktion ist das wirklich spannende. Klasse Werbung 😂
Und das Beste: einen Zahnreihen in Öl…… kenne Ahnung für welches Aggregat…… also doch keine gute Konstruktion 😂

Ich wusste nicht das AMG den kompletten Motor selbst baut, ich dachte das passiert direkt bei Mercedes und AMG übernimmt dann im Nachgang alle Anpassungen, aber das macht vermutlich mehr Arbeit

Kommt auf den Motor an. Die reinen AMG Motoren werden ausschließlich von AMG gebaut, wohingegen die Motoren in den 35er und 53er Modellen Mercedes-Motoren sind.
