ALL OF THEM were a part of the problem. Shouko's mother sent her to a non specialized school because she wanted her to be "normal" and never really learned sign language to communicate with her daughter. The teacher saw the bullying happen and didn't do anything until the director came in his class after parental complaint. Miki was a part of the bullying, watched it happen and tried to hide it by giving herself the nice girl image (she mocked her with Shoya and the others, pretended to open her lips to sing so Shouko would mess up during choir etc...). No need to say anything for Kazuki and Naoka, we all know. Miyoko was the only actual nice person. They all tried to put the blame on Shoya who had to bear the weight of their actions and insecurities on top of his. I'm happy that Shoya was able to forgive himself and find confidence. It's not easy to deal with anxiety, depression and s ideation. That's the main theme of this movie: forgiveness. Hope everyone can find that courage in themselves.
People keep saying Kawai tried to sabotage Shouko during the choir, but I still cannot see that. Seems she was just super eager and preparing doing some practice lip syncing until the time came.
@@Un1234l but she knew Shoko couldn't hear her and thought that she must've started singing the song. also, when the others bullied Shoko, Kawai didn't stop it, instead she laughed with everyone. Not saying anything to stop the bullying is just as bad
@@eggnoggie Look, Shouko starting because she mistook Kawai's eager warmups is not on Kawai. Kawai said she'd cue Shouko in after Shouko messed up. So at least on the choir part, I don't see this point against Kawai that everyone loves to bring up.
Yes, and the teacher hated Shouko, he says so in the manga. Also, Naoka's behavior makes more sense when you understand that she was in love with Shoya, and she felt guilty that she didn't stand up for him more. Then when she saw Shoya and Shouko together, she felt jealous, and she always felt that it was Shouko's fault that Shoya lost his friends and got his life ruined. Her hate of Shouko was in direct proportion to (and caused by) her love and guilt towards Shoya.
I remembered seeing this movie in the theater and silly me thought it was a rom-com animation, not knowing the plot and walked out the theater with tears all over my face 😂 one of the best Japanese animation movie ever!! Love your reaction, so much enjoy, thank you!
So jealous of the people who were able to see this in theaters. I barely knew anime at that point in time and would love to have had that experience. This is my favorite movie.
The music in this movie is so unique. The composer put the mic INSIDE of a piano so you can hear all the clicks of the keys beings played, and I think that’s just so neat
Yeahhhh this one is really tough. I think a lot of us hate ourselves for some reason or another. And that brings guilt and self blame. Its a terrible burden. But one that can be lifted, if we are kind to each other. Thanks for sharing your reaction yall i appreciate yas
Sign language is actually really easy to learn. The grammar is very simple. Any language speaker can learn it easily. If you play VR chat there are several worlds you can go to to learn it. It's kinda fun seeing the conversations that happen around you everyday that you just didn't see.
You've cut out two of the best parts of the reaction, when they apologized to his mother and when you she apologized to his mother after getting beaten. Those moments are the real tear jerkers
Nah, the biggest tear jerkers for me are at the beginning when Nishimiya is on top of Sho and crying/yelling "I'm trying the best I can!" and then when she's in the ferris wheel and said "that's not true. I hate myself." and then gets slapped. I agree the apology is a tear jerker, but the "I hate myself" for some reason made my stomach drop
The manga is amazing - lost more content to fill out the characters. The end bridge was a dream in the manga when she finally understands that he was going to visit her at the beginning to just close his file on her being "okay" before he kills himself; but he accidentally asked her to be his friend because - probably his mind - clicked into her constantly asking him that. It made him cancel his agenda as he now had asked to be her friend.
Your reactions and understanding of this movie are impressive. Honestly I couldn't understand the plot of the movie properly the first time I watched it, so I'm surprised that you guys were so engaged with the movie and could understand its plot properly.
I think you guys should watch Spirit away and princess Mononoke or Berserk: Ougon Jidai-hen I - Haou no Tamago 2012 There is three part of the movie. This anime really popular among anime fan A It really good anime

The journey of self love can't be better displayed than this show ... MASTERPIECE

played at unusual packing to sound different, but training scales by Brahms called "voices".
You two are underrated. Pls dont stop making reaction content.
We're here for the long run 🙌🏾

I'm glad to see you guys react to this. It's my all-time favorite anime movie. Never gets easier to re-watch it though.

This film kills me every time

"I want you to help me live"
Never fail to cry at this film. Glad I'm not the only one who disliked the blonde girl (as well as Ueno of course)
I think you guys should react to Clannad next, the show is very wholesome and it portrays a lot about the value of family 🤞
I think this was the film where when he fell from the balcony, he actually died, but they thought it was too sad for the movie
Why would he die in the movie when he survived in the manga?
@SomeOne_ww I'm on about a movie where someone died in the manga but they changed it in the movie. Must be thinking of something else then.

マリアがとにかく可愛過ぎる
Next I want to see a reaction to Grave of the Fireflies^ ^
この映画に対する皆の反応が好き
Good watch guys! One of my favorites.
Next please react to ' I want to eat your pancreas '
Next "Belle" ?
方法は間違っていたけど、小学生の頃、ある意味一番ヒロインを理解しようと努めてたのは主人公であるとも言える。
Kawai is worse than ueno
probably recommend watching penguin started so good
