2 things i want to mention. 1. This video took so long because the 600bhn steel for the face hardened plate kept having issues 2. On the last few clips you can see the face hardened layer slightly seperate from the plate behind, this while it looks weird will cause no difference in the simulation and it will come out exactly the same as if it stayed fully attatched
By a Manual for the Training of the troops, it is actually recommended to put the tracks on the 30mm plate as often seen on pictures. Additionally ON TOP of the tracks can be filled out with concrete.
Could you make a simulation of 6 Pounder's Mk 9 Shot vs T-34 upper front plate at around 700 meters? Type 1 47mm cannon vs Sherman turret face would interesting as well.
At 700 meters the 6 pounder shot would pretty much be deflected everytime it struck the sloped plate of the T-34. The German 50mm L60 cannon was similar in ballistics to the 6 pounder, and at 700 meters the 57mm only would have a chance against the hatch
Presumably, on level ground a Zis gun would sit lower and therefore the shell would strike at even steeper angles on those surfaces compared to a T34/57.
How about the British 1934 pattern 2 pounder APHE shell versus 25mm. of Vickers Vibrax RHA target at 500 yards. In the 1937 acceptance trials, only 2 out of every 10 hits managed to penetrate the test target. The new WD 1937 specification required 7 in every 10 hits to penetrate 25mm. of RHA @ 0 degrees @ 500 yards. The problem was that they'd already manufactured 164,000 of these shells, by 1937, which were now useless. They were only issued for training target practice. I have one, in my collection.
What's the point? Of course the vehicle in a defensive, concealed position would be more often firing the first shot than the one moving on the road, no matter which vehicle it was, either T34 or StuGs could be in either position.
@@sthrich635 not really, the doctrines are insanely different and you know it too. You just cannot pick two vehiceles and pit them against each other disregarding the doctrinal and situational effects
@enatrage2083 If taking in the situational effects, that meant T34s would have more fuel for higher mobility, and higher recovery rate as they would be advancing, and numerical superiority as well. Some T34s might be lost in a few StuG ambush, but once the T34s broke through deep into German lines, most StuGs would not have to even be penetrated - they would be simply abandoned and lost as their logistics cut off with their fuel ran out and unable to escape the faster T34 tanks.

It would be cool if for a single second we saw the simulation in real time speed. This would only really require speeding up the footage
@MustardGoat0.6/920 gives us a time of 0.652 miliseconds so if you blink it you would miss it
@@matthelord7695 I’m built different, I’d see it
@MustardGoat you could replicate it if it was just 2 fps 😭
Could you do KV 2 vs Maus?

Lucky, then
It looked like the shell caused major spalling

15mm Pzgr (Ap-t) and H-Pzgr (HVAP) vs 20mm plate at 500m from Mg 151 would be interesting.
Still incredibly dangerous spalling

Now I’m curious how the cement armor that the Finns put on them performs.
Yes, does it make a difference?
Btw I think it looks better.
Bro got gaijinned
the first shot is the worst possible angle you could shoot a stug at 💀

What’s funny is that I’m playing Minecraft rn too
A bit strange to call it Stug III vs. T34-57 instead of Zis-2 AT gun vs. Stug III, but neat.
The main audience is WarThunder players, that's probably why the tank was referred to rather than the gun

is that the 2pdr APHE that we have in WT (Shell Mk.1 AP/T)?

Can you do the 60mm HVMS APFSDS round versus a T-54 (early model with 120mm of armor) at 2 kilometers?

I agree!
Just hit the tracks and the StuG would be basically taken out and abandoned soon. German armors were actually weak and easy to deal with.
That feeling when the stug shoots first
Say that when the StuG is shooting at you first from a concealed firing position
