I get the impression that his fall came less out of hatred for the emperor and more out of A) love for his death guard(they along with him would have suffered for eternity without Nurgle's blessing, as the destroyer plague also grants immortality, not died as seems to be a common misconception) and B) Disagreeing about the use of and research on his own psychic powers and the warp as a whole once he discovered and learnt more about them, he used to be staunchly against them as he believed everything he was told about them, but when he was forced to unlock and use his own he found that what he was told was verifiably untrue.
So in the end, all this war that has been raging the galaxy for 10k years is due to a bunch of siblings with daddy love problems 😂
If hypocrisy was a fictional character. He would be named Mortarion.
Well Morty was originally a hero against Tyrants of his homeworld. That is true.
Welcome to warhammer! We have :
- a species of Cancer patients who got turned into terminators by living space dust to get revenge on immortal telekinetic frog people.
- space elves, who got so bored after ruling the galaxy they spawned a hell god after deciding to mix in BDSM and the Geneva convention.
- gigachad fungi people with baki levels of imagination, who were so above everything else in terms of fighting power they withered into mentally challenged space orcs after spending too long with nothing to fight, they still have baki levels of imagination though.
- a militarized race of edgy xenomorph-xeroxes straight out of Spore™ on a crusade to eat everything in the universe.
- Humanity, who has been turned into a dystopia after 19 supermegahumans and their armies of superhumans got super daddy issues and decided to make it everyone else's problem. Also the guy they worship as a god is a dude who loved to dress up as a godlike figure almost as much as he loved to tell everyone religion is cringe and that he shouldn't be worshiped as a god.
- cow/fish people trying not to get murdered by everything else while they struggle to understand since when charging into gunfire with nothing but a sword became a viable military strategy.
Guilliman: why you sound like General Grievous?
No oats where shared that day
I love how the brothers have more meaningful conversations now than they had 10 millennia ago. Would not be surprised if Perturabo returned to the emperor yet Guilliman starts seeking the council of Mortarion and Magnus more often.
I'm not sure you entirely understand the situation.
@@purplefood1 Some brothers catch up after 10,000 years apart, reminiscence over old times, kill each other like they used to. What's to get?
Who tells the truth? Who is lying? Either way, what we see are 2 former brothers in arms who never wanted to be enemies.
Both lie to each other. Force feeding themselves the lie of survival.
Neither lies. More than that, neither is wrong.
Why do i feel like this is legitimately both of them being correct in a way?
Great writing and as well an amazing voice cover.
Loved it.
It’s so interesting. Roboute is constantly focused on the future. And all Mortarian can see is the past.
Sons of barbaras bring grandfathers love to all.
I use this album for my D&D villains evil moments lol
I like this guilliman’s voice
And then Gman resisted the pain that Morty gave into; proving his resilience was stronger. It was almost a year from Big E to see if Papa Smurf had the resilience to continue on. He did. And he won. E used Guilliman to connect to Nurgle and attack him directly and put Morty in time-out.
“Boo Hoo! Daddy was mean to me so I’m gonna break all his toys!”
Compared to a Daemon Prince, yes Guilliman knows no suffering. Some Daemon Princes have to spend a thousand years in the war being tortured before they get the gift of Daemonhood. That's why only the strongest become daemon princes, its not enough to please the gods.
The man literally died
except afaik traitor primarchs were instantly made Demon Princes
@@kekcrusader4979 No they aren't, they go into the warp and begin a trail. Some have to spend 1000 years being tortured some have to battle daemons in duels etc. Its only instant in the materium. Also most make the pack by seeking daemonhood.
How do you think Cruze died: he denied the Gods, as he didn't want to be a Daemon Prince.
@@bobbobertbobberton1073The only reason Cruz died is because he would have to deal with his actions if he proved fate could be changed.
@@bobbobertbobberton1073wdym? Fulgrim didn’t do this so called “10k year trial” the guy sacrificed ppl to become one, Angron didn’t do this, Lorgar didn’t also do this, he was pretty much gifted it with his service. Kurze has no interest with Chaos, he died cuz he foresaw that he will and made it happen.
"The Emperor doesnt love us."
Emperor burns down half of Nurgle's garden because they threaten Roboute.
If that's not a father's love....
It could simply be the preservation of a vital tool.
@@Youcancallmeishmaell Have you read the books when Emps is with the sons that aren't a disappointment?
I haven't read the books but i HAVE heard the excerpts of the meeting of Guilliman and the emperor, and he DOES refer to his son as a "Tool"
It’s not love! It’s not care. It’s not commitment but childish.
@@Integritys_Sum In a schizophrenic episode after to nearly 10k years of torture and despair on a level none of us can even dream of. The second he regained consciousness, he had much kinder words for Guilliman.
Honestly, I think is really good writing. Morty is sees the world through lenses Nurgle’s corruption, he is just a virus nothing more nothing less. In one sense its not so wrong because whatever he has become its part of nature.
G: YOU FORSAKE YOURSELF!
M: B-but Daddy........
Mortarion has daddy issues and he’s gonna make it EVERYONE’S problem
2:18 Funny, it was the emperor creating a safety and faster webway that the god of emperor creating. Not ascension of godhood.
Embrace Grandfather Nurgle!
Whats the first theme song called? I founded out the other two songs, but not the first! Please and thank you!
Mortarion literally bitching that Big E saved his life
I can admit the blueberry isn't who i wanted to come back..........but like Trump its the man we need to come back, its what needed to happen to finally start making things right.

@@RufusJuice oh hell yeah! It's awesome 👌
Why are the lab rats arguing about now?
That's all they are to _someone_ 🙄
Mortarion is kind of a baby, isn't he?
Guilliman saying he suffered is a bit rich.
I mean, duded was literally _dead/practically dead_ after Daemon-prince Fulgrim shanked him in the neck, so... yeah, he's suffered a lot.
His life wasn't easy either.
- Foster dad killed by foster uncle
- 9 brothers, many of whom he admired, turned into abominations. 2 were butchered. 6 are lost, some of them driven off by him.
- Over 10.000 years, every soul dear to him is gone
- Great dream has turned into a nightmare.
- Nothing but peril awaits.
Of course, Roboute didn't have a pain machine jammed into his brain, nor was he brought up in noxious realm at monster's whims.
But he drank from a cup of sorrow too and found it bottomless.
Bro dies
Ignorant fool: but did he suffer ?
Morty: You do not know suffering. My entire legion was dying in front of me and I was in agony.
Guilliman: Ok so one time Lorgar set half my legion on fire and then voided me into space without a helmet. I had to fight, barehanded. For over an hour. Without oxygen. All while watching my sons die. So surprisingly I vibe with you. But you's a bitch so.
So only Khan was able defeat him? ...and even then...not really as he had be ressurected?
Rescusitated technically. Morty had to be resurrected.
Mortarion has no actual argument to justify his betrayal, even if the Emperor didn't treat him right, nurgle has been so much worse for "the people".
What is the name of the song?
Eternal Eclipse - Cloak and Dagger
Btw, it's in the description.
I hate chaos. The ideology is so flawed. They think they're free, but they first wanted something to worship, and they "found" it in in the chaos gods. Claiming their "will" is their own, yet they do it for a higher power. At least if you're not a heretic or xeno, you're fighting for survival....on which chaos also depends.
Chaos is real, the chaos “ gods” are a lie they are parasites
I actually think Morty makes some good points. Nurgle is the most compelling of the four Gods because he has an alternative narrative that he brings salvation from suffering and life as a natural cycle.
The audio music track is not good for this video.
Mortarion stinky
Indeed!
Has Guilliman ever one a fight against anyone?!?!?!
lorgar
Mortarion speaking facts, goddamn.
Mortarion and alpharius have the absolute stupidest reasons for becoming traitors.
Jaghatai Khan: "Did you say something Morty?"
Mortarian: *Under his breat* _SHIT_ "uuuuuhhhhh... nope. Not really we were just chatting. Right Ruby?"
Guilliman: *Snerk* "Yeah Jag, its fine Mortatian is just going thru his Goth phase... I got this."
I actually agree with Mortarion.
I wish these shorts or stories were animations on the warhammer tv app instead of the trash thats on there. I low key wish i can get my $60 back
Morty is such a cry baby. How did the emperor saving you turn you against him.
I think he was trying to lead the people who raised him to overthrow some slavers or something (similer to angron) and was...blocked? interrupted or something by the emperor.
@@Integritys_Sum he lost a battle to his tyrannical psyker stepfather after bi e showed up, so big e saved him... morty never got over it.

@@durrangodsgrief6503 I've always maintained that the Emperor's and Angron's relationship would be way more interesting if the Emperor had straight up lied to Angron about having only just arrived, then let Angron torch the planet, of course, Angron then learns the truth and decides to get a little upset after that
i hate to say it, but Morty actually makes some good points
That’s kind of the point.
The emperors path was good intentioned but done so horribly that it makes sense there are those who detest it
People saying the traitors have daddy issues is an oversimplification.
Imagine your father forcing you to conquer and slaughter all who resist the so called enlightenment you bring.
Who is right. Who is wrong. One thing cannot be denied…The Emperor could have treated his children better and could have shown the human side of his nature more…😢
Mortarion is a little pisseuse tbf
Mortarion learned nothing in 10000 years.
As hypocritical and stubborn as ever.
He truly is the dumbest of the Primarchs
He will never learn !
He learned some truly next level cope.
Mortarion doesn't read manuals
The anime-ish version of them in the thumbnail looks cheesy and gay

Guilliman resorts to nothing but ad hominems and dogma. Mortarion won this debate easily.
Many years from now, when your old you will realize that those oaths are wroth far more than anything in this world. Its fine, don't remember me or this comment and even take credit for this idea later on, just remember a man word is everything.
How did Mortarion win, of all he can think about is himself and not humanity ? His view alone is wrong his purpose to help humanity ? Gone
