- I Almost Lost my eye Chainsaw carving this Wood sculpture of a roaring grizzly bear , eagle, Owls and Beaver
I will forever wear my safety glasses while doing anything with a chainsaw carving. Sharpening my chain
this was scary I burnt molten steel into my cornea . Had it went through the lens and into the back of the eye it could have been really bad

My husband had a similar experience, just a little welding he had done several times... without protection! Be careful !
I'll be running my CS 7310 p 28-in bar and my CS 800 p I have a 32 inch bar on that thing. My wood service company brought over some 48-in logs firewood quality. I'll be doing firewood today. Maybe a couple stools for around the bonfire. One table.

My dear wife lost her right eye to an ocular stroke. We only have two and can't spare either. We sometimes take things for granted, I'm glad u come out relatively unscathed Ryan. U are superbly talented and gifted. Keep the peepers covered hoss! All the best to u and family.

I am a machinist and we call that a dumbass tax. If you are going to continue to not wear safety glasses when grinding steel I suggest keeping a good size rare earth magnet around.

Very nice Ryan I thought you were old school and sharpened your saws with a hand file?? Personally I tried the dremal for sharpening but didn't like it I belive that it gets to hot and takes the temper out of the steel. Anyways awsome carving as usual and be safe Ryan
