This guys definitely need more recognition and make it BIG. Not only their skills are top notch but they write good and catchy tunes with good amount of shreddy riffs and solos, a perfect balance between 80's best and a modern djenty/chug kind of sound. Kudos!!!
That's exactly what I think of this guys, they have the best of the past and the best of todays. I F*cking LOVE them, they just REALLY rock 🤘🏼!! Long life to Santa Cruz!!!!!!
I think they have sold out compared to their first album, they have listened too much to their manager on how the music "should sound" which gives them the "radio rock" status.
I stumbled across Santa Cruz when I was putting together my annual "best of rock" CDs for a buddy of mine. After listening closer to the stunning guitar work I had to find out exactly who as the monster shredder. And it's Archie Cruz. These guys just crush it. Brings back memories of the good ol days of hair bands
Yeah well, like more tan 30 years late on the scene...What are they thinking seriously? That the 80' rock guitar are going to take over the world once again? lol
@George Lynch Dixon Ah Mr Scary! I was waiting for you! You know i was 16 when George Lynch,EVH,Michael Schenker(my 3 legends) were full on attack, rocking like no one before and after that...Do you really think that these two "Waynes world punks" with their bleached hair,80' clothes style are something new for me?Sorry, but i'm not going back, rock has been for a long while on life support and it will die...
Just how hard rock should be played !! Les Paul, loads'a'Gain, plenty of screaming pinched harmonics and bags of expression. I hear so many influences in here and great to see it all executed by a younger generation, gives me hope the 80s guitar era is not dead and is still a big influence to the guitarists of today. I feel privileged to have lived through the years when this kinda of stuff was mainstream.
Are this 2 guys famous already? Cos they should be! One of the best guitar duet seen in recent years. Fast and accurate, not to mention that they did this shit live on set and in just 1 take. How many hours they have been practising daily? Damn!
@@JoseJr1977 It's just blues and country licks, but faster. Guys like Chuck Berry, B. B. King, Slash, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Not goddamn Alexi Laiho or Sinergy. Are you deaf. Just because they are Finnish doesn't mean they sound like Alexi Laiho. Guitar playing like this derives straight from blues. There's some other licks that are not as bluesy, just normal minor scale really. They are obviously influenced by players like Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, E. Van Halen, Slash but mostly just classic blues with high distortion and more speed. Yes most guitarists (like Laiho) use penatonic rock licks, but they copied them from the same blues guys
Les Paul upsides: Shorter scale, so this shit is actually easier than on a normal guitar, because you need less reach. And the pickup switch is in convenient place for fast switching. And of course the Les Paul sound. Downsides: doesn't stay in tune, expensive
Man U guys are kick-ass! I’m an old rocker and I could never play this well. Hell no one played this well back in the sixties except for Black Sabbath or Lee Pickens from Bloodrock! My hats off and kudos to u gentlemen...keep kicking ass. The problem u will run into now is there are a lot of rockers this good. So where do u guys play? I’d live to see u! I’m spreading u throughout all my social media channels. Keep on keeping it! Rock on...hey man what year is that sunburst Gibson Les Paul?

Jesse Tate But Shredding on a Gibson !!
EXACTLY. they remind me alot of skid row, maybe metallica on the guitar
I think they have sold out compared to their first album, they have listened too much to their manager on how the music "should sound" which gives them the "radio rock" status.
But skilled indeed. Would love to see them to continue the sound they used on their first album.
I still keep coming back to watch & listen to this. It's just epic.
Ive probably air guitared to this 100 times. Vol 1 too. Shredtastic!
Get them on that fukkin front cover of Guitar World!
Long hair, les pauls and this glam metal feeling... real raw shred right here nice guys 🤘🏼
Very nice! Love the harmonized parts.. glad to see shred ain't dead!
Excellent sounds you guys have, nice shredding. I can feel Mr.Laiho´s presence in those solos. Keep up the great work!!! My hat to you, sirs
Laiho? Where. This is mostly blues, but faster
the Main Riff is also in Laiho's style
You are OUT OF THIS WORLD guys!!! Well done!!
I Love all your stuff 💘.

AMAZING. I keep coming back to rewatch it and it's amazing every time.
I'd be cool with an album of just shredding and nothing else by them.
Zack Kaelin I love their albums a lot though..
Where is Mike Varney when you need him?
+DillonBerkley reminiscent of Scarified.
I've watched these 2 vids a number of times and I love the shred because its more than just shred
The cheesy part starting at 1:54 is amazing :)
These guys are awesome

This is like the new Marty and Jason Becker combo.
I was definitely thinking Cacophony. Great playing!

not really

fantastic. this is how metal should be!
Impresionante chicos! Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
I freaking love these guys!!!
this makes me want to throw my guitar out of the window. how the hell can I learn to play like this?
sevenhearted Practice, practice, practice! :D
+sevenhearted Finns make their own electric guitars in middle school shop class. I guess it starts from there.
+sevenhearted Just my thought. I'm a guitarist too but fuck this shit I'll go home! :D
Practice and heaps of patience. But I agree i want to throw my guitar out the window after watching this for what the 10th time...Respect.
+Gabriel Johannson 2 year update on this comment, been training like crazy slowly getting there haha
Holy shit!!! That was sick and I loved how they started the video. And harmonized parts=eargasm :D Wanna see 'em live sometime :D
Just need a whole album of this. For my whole life. Please.
That opening riff has a lot of early zakk wylde vibes to it!! Awesome stuff
The shredding is fire but they also have the tastiest riffs on rhythm
Shred or die you say Archie? Yup we are dead, so dead :D
dude this is great! this should be an instrumental in an album of theirs or something!
YEEEEEEEEEEAH ! Some old school Paul Gilbert influences here right? Sounds killer !
I heard some tony mccalpine in there as well.
I can notice Sinergy and Alexi Laiho when these dudes play. Awesome!!
There's literally zero Alexi Laiho in this, except the obvious opening
@@shredd5705 so you agree with me.

we want the vol 3!!!!!
They just did! And it sucks! xD Definitely dropped on that one...
I can see they mixed metalcore and 80s pop metal
Melodic death you mean, this isn't slightly core, no Bieber sighting.
