Rosewood neck? I very much doubt it. More like Maple or Mahogany. I see the string trees giving straight string pull of the originals are gone. Looks to me like more Chinese made crap milking off a famous name
hydorah You’re dense, man. They’re all rosewood necks. Sure, it isn’t a completely straight string pull but it doesn’t need to be. I own one of each model and can attest to their exquisite build quality and tone.
Rosewood neck: yes, string trees useless with the alignement of the tuners and the tusq nut, not China but Indonesia and I guess Patrick's J Eggle reputation goes beyond the old Shergold name. Last: the sound & tones just speak for themselves IMO…
@@jacoobyslaps Do you mind saying how you feel they play? Thinking of getting one, but can't find a bricks and mortar shop anywhere near me that stocks them. For instance, I'm not overly convinced by the position of that pickup selector switch, it looks far too towards the back of the body to me, but it might play better than I can imagine, once you get used to it. [I usually hate buying guitars without having played them. But it's becoming increasingly difficult to do so.]
@@grizcuz I greatly enjoy mine. I had the same concerns regarding the switching but after some playing I’ve become quite accustomed to it. The rosewood necks are super slick and they feel phenomenal
@@jacoobyslaps Oh no! I was hoping that you wouldn't reply, or say that they take a lot of getting used to. I'm now GAS-sing even harder than I was an hour ago! [seriously though, thanks for taking the time to give me your opinion, it's appreciated.]
Trying to find one of these in the US is a struggle
Nice démo liked 👍
scale? country of manufacture? fretboard radius?tnx
These are made in Indonesia but sent back over to the uk to be set up by patrick and his team before they go to customers
