Goku did use SS2 against Tamagami 3 and we did indeed see zappy zaps. He ascends right before the kamehameha and he was SS2 for the elbow. If you go back and look at Goku right after that attack, you will see his bangs stick up more and zappy zaps in his aura. He didn't use the forms full potential though because the Tamagami gave up.

I really do enjoy these two as a duo. It’s surprisingly not a dynamic I can recall much of in the DB franchise. Especially given they’re not necessarily evil or good. They’re just…Arinsu’s little powerful children lol. I also like how Arinsu switched from this evil cunning genius plotter vibe to sort of a Team Rocket Jessie vibe, and not treating her Majin children as slaves but has her disappointed and proud parent moments with them.

I think it's really nice that in one of toriyama's last projects he worked on, he finally gives Vegeta a win lol I was full on expecting him to get a full assbeating and Goku has to step in
Yes, they made it look like Vegeta was going to lose at first. But the fact that Vegeta transformed into SSJ3 and won was a surprise to me. It's great that Dragon Ball can still surprise viewers. And both Vegeta and SSJ3 deserved to win. It was refreshing
i think toei realised they've basically always done a terrible job of making it clear so they're fixing it now. even scenes where you know for a fact goku is ssj2 in the buu saga, they draw him with his ssj1 bangs
I love how this confirms 2 of my biggest beliefs. 1 being that Vegeta could use ssj3 but its just a completely impractical form to use, considering the way it burns through the energy in the cells and shortens the life of the user. And 2 being that Vegito gets his kicking-only, crossed arms attitude from Vegeta. Freaking loved that little reference. But wow... the first canon onscreen victory of SSj3 being Vegeta. Pretty awesome. Maybe this means its possible we'll get a (kid) SSj3 Vegito if Kuu and Duu merge at the end of Daima.

You could argue that it did in fact bother him, and it’ll come back to bite Arinsu hard later. He just maybe chose to play humble and happy for now. I kinda hope that’s the case. Would definitely show that he’s a fast learner when it comes to being cold and calculated.

I literally came here to comment asking him not to put spoilers in his videos. They usually come out only a day after the episode airs, so not everyone has seen it yet. SSJ3 Vegeta was completely spoiled for me simply because this video showed up in my feed. I have actually unsubbed to MasakoX as a result (no actual issues with him, but I don't want this to happen again).
db fans just don't gaf anymore, i got spoiled almost immediately by an artist i had notifications on for, first time he did a daima spoiler so it caught me offguard, i muted dbshype because he spoils everything in an episode but it wasn't enough. then bandai revealed the shf ssj3 and youtube recommendations to me so i stood no chance. the official db twitter spoiling duukuu also sucks. what's wrong with everyone nowadays? i see people holding out spoilers for 1 week in other fandoms, and an extra week before spoilers in thumbnails and titles. meanwhile db fans expect you to be refreshing crunchyroll 30 minutes in advance to be one of the first fans ever to watch it
The test Tamagami 2 gives to Vegeta was pure evil. To give myself a chuckle, I decided to play along with the test and keep track of the question in my head. But I, and I imagine most people who also tried to answer the question on their own, was keeping track of how many of the biscuits were left, not who ate what, lol. Also, Goku commented that Vegeta used to eat critters. Was that a reference to Vegeta's first appearance, when Vegeta and Nappa appeared to be eating the remains of their enemies? That was the only time I could think of where Vegeta was eating really unorthodox food.
So those of us who watched super and kept saying "it's not that vegeta CANT use ssj3, he just doesn't because it's worthless compared to the god transformations" were right.
@MasakoX as someone who's a bit of a vegeta apologist I feel quite vindicated about this. It's still a bummer ssj3 was so downplayed in super and never had a larger impact in the story, but at least now we know.

I swear. I like masako and his content but damn I was not happy seeing that pop up on my feed before I had a chance to sit and watch it myself. It took the energy out of that moment which should’ve been surprise and hype. I was a bit upset that I got SSJ3 Vegeta spoiled for me when I saw your post, but when I saw it in the episode and saw that Vegeta’s hair doesn’t drop, legitimately I still got hype. It would be nice if the big plot point wasn’t spoiled in the thumbnail and title, but I’m still happy to see Vegeta using the form in canon.

Besides the retcons and plot holes from other parts of the original, Z, and Super, which sounds like more that it is, I feel Daima is the best written, most compact, and cohesive story we have gotten out of the mainline anime. Ever maybe if the end sticks the landing. Not to mention the animation is beautiful.
Except Daima isn't canon so why are you wasting your time with it? Everyone fails at some point. It's just sad that Toriyama's last manga was such a retcon and plothole filled failure.

When trying to decide which of the two is canon you have to ask yourself "Which of these two contradicts material that has already been determined to be canon?". Super already was and never contradicted Z, while Daima contradicts Super thus Daima isn't canon.

And people like freaking Geekdom had been posting for months about this episode trying to get kudos from 12 year Olds giving him validation for being right about his obvious insider information. Unfortunately someone decided to post the reveal on here an hour or so after airing, and I got spoiled thanks to the front page. Great episode though. I do like how even Vegeta's SSJ3's hair is different. It's shorter and spikier than Goku's. IIRC, it's the hair SSJ3 Goku was originally gonna get. I was surprised (but also kind of relieved) that Tamagami #1 didn't hear Kuu give Duu the answer, but also like how supportive of a brother Kuu is and didn't mind he wasn't credited for it. A bit hard to believe there's only 8 episodes left considering all 3 Tamagami have been defeated, and they're already on their way to the 1st Demon Realm. But that's what makes me more excited, cause there's a lot they can do and still have plenty of time for the final battle(s). Can't wait!
I am unsure about SS3 Vegeta but that might be me being a wet blanket. The Kuu and Duu brotherly bond is my favorite part of the episode to be honest. Just wholesomeness the whole time. Lastly Vegeta getting the question right felt more like a lucky guess then him working it out to me. It really looked like he was sweating bullets trying to get an answer and not his normal confident self.
Okay, Masako, I’m sorry to reiterate what I commented on your last Daima review… I personally got to see the episode yesterday thankfully but when it’s that recent, putting such spoilers in both the title and thumbnail, that’s not great. I especially think of those who have to wait for the episodes to come out on Netflix and such. If you really want to talk about it so soon, there are ways to make it less spoilery. Like this: *black silhouette or blurry image of SSJ3 Vegeta with the title "This transformation/super Saiyan form is now canon!" I’m just asking you make an effort for those who don’t get to see the episode the very day it comes out. Even those who get the early release don’t necessarily have the time to watch it right away. I hope you read this comment and understand. I really like your content, I just don’t want you to make the same mistakes as those other channels that just pump out spoilers for views without regards for others. Also I'm guessing the "Surprise" of next episode is that Glorio did the small wire sabotage to throw Panzy off, and connecting that wire inadvertently causes a bigger sabotage later on, seeing as the group were planning on going straight to the First Demon World. Also, Vegeta's power was so great that it broke the format of the episode title and made it two words long
I woke up to a discord message saying "Watch Daima immediately, do not look at anything" and I was glad I did. But I knew the moment the Tamagami powered up that we were either getting early fusion or new form, I could feel the SSJ3 reveal coming as it was the only surprising thing Vegeta could do at this point in the timeline of the series. I think Vegeta suits the SSJ3 look better than Goku ever did, and I feel like his hair doesn't droop because he's so small, I suspect as an adult the SSJ3 hair will droop down at the back.

Every1 kicking off about ssj3 vegeta but no-one noticed the (potentially possibly accidental) star wars reference of Duu having to Count and Kuu helping him (i might be reaching on this one but i immediately thought of Count Dooku)
Even though Vegeta having Super Saiyan 3 raises A LOT of questions about how much Ki Vegeta had in Super, this DOES explain why Vegeta was the quickest in learning how to use DIVINE Ki. Vegeta seemingly has Mastered 3 which makes sense in general due to how much training the Prince of all Saiyans does in the gravity he does on a daily basis. Still, Toriyama gave us something for Vegeta WE ALL wanted him to have and it was a glorious thing to witness, especially if you saw the scene by pure accident on twitter.
It doesn’t raise much as it still fits in terms of BoG. Three is intense concentration and deep rooted power within. Two is high emotional rage/training. Vegeta losing it against Beerus still works and going two is the farthest thing from intense concentration ever. It’s fine.

@@SetoShadowVT well in dbs lore vegeta stated he doesnt like to use gokus techniques like the instant transmission... since goku was the first ss3 maybe vegeta chooses to buff his ss2. lol that and the lame stamina drain issue plot ss3 has. yet for some reason it cant be mastered or have a perfected state. like og ss. ssb. even golden freeza managed to perfect his stamina drain. smh at least ss3 got shine again. they have to show adult ss3 vegeta vs goku at the end of daima i hope. like how dbs ended with those two ready to fight...
Guess that Toriyama doesn't hate Vegeta that much after all. He went SS3 beat the Tamagami, answered the question and didn't seems winded at all. I also liked that going by the design, Toriyama OG draft of SS3 was used to give Vegeta a unique look compared to Goku.
I don't think Kuu has more mathematical intelligence than Anrisu. What he does have, as a fighter, is reflexes, which allowed him to read the fast-changing numbers better (but he is smart). Same with Goku and the cup game. He didn;t have a problem follow Tamigami's movements so he was able to see him throwing the Dragonball.
He's still smart though. If you note he bought a bag of chocolates and only gave Duu one so this time he has a stock so he doesn't have to rush out to a 7-11.
Ever since the first episode I am happy when it is Friday because then I know Dragon Ball Daima releases another episode. I have liked every episode so far, because when it is not fighting, it answers questions that might have popped up, has something funny happen or expands on the lore of the series. When the full serie is released, it will be a thoroughly enjoyable watch, of that I am certain.
Honestly, according to my beliefs, Vegeta did go into Super Saiyan 2 as Majin Vegeta. Think about it. His hair and body mass grew and expanded, as well as his power during that transformation. (Which by the way, Majin Boo saga is one of the best sagas out there besides my all time favorite: 'Broly: The legendary super saiyan). Like if you agree 👍

There is something that we have to acknowledge! Super Saiyan 3, it has never gotten a win no matter who used it. Goku could not beat Fat Buu, (he was thrashing about Fat Buu using Super Saiyan 3, but Goku was knocked out and did not see what happened in the fight between Fat Buu and Vegeta and even Majin Buu's regeneration, and even though he was a Spirit and could handle a little less energy drainage that a full mortal body, Majin Buu would likely outlast him with his stamina and regeneration if it came to that), Gotenks didn't beat Super Buu, and even got absorbed by Super Buu, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku did not beat Kid Buu, he was draining too much energy. and Kid Buu was going to outlast him, with his great stamina and regeneration, and even at the last scene with the Spirit Bomb Goku even acknowledges that the battle with Kid Buu was not a one on one fight, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku lost against Beerus. Vegeta is the only character who has gotten a win in Super Saiyan 3 in this fight against Tamagami 2!!
Vegeta said that he would never eat bugs but didn't back in the early days of the Saiyan Saga, weren't both Vegeta and Nappa eating these humanoid bug species?
I like that cannon Vegeta SSJ3 form is diffrent from Goku's SSJ3 form. Vegeta hair grows backward, but not downwards as Goku, Gotenks, and all other none main line story cannon SSJ3 forms of Vegeta, Kid Gohan and Future Trunks. Maybe modern Toriyama wanted to give every SSJ3 character a design design that would be unique to only them, instead for them all too like kinda the same, so maybe if Gohan got SSJ 3 he would look like his beast form, but the hair would be blond/yellow minus the eyebrows and the eyes would be green coloured.
Every episode just continues to surprise me. We are so so lucky that we get/got daima. This series is so so special. Daima is beyond what I hoped it would be. I genuinely would be so more than okay with another season of daima rather than super!
Daima seems to be Toriyama just saying, "Canon? Who needs that?" So much of this show seems to contradict Super, that you'd almost think he was resentful if it.
I don’t understand the hate for this show, I get a mix of original DB, mixed in a little DBZ with actual explanations on past theories and stories, love it!
Any hate of the show is just either a form of protest because they feel that it somehow stole more Super from them or they're DBZ-only fans who refuse to like anything after DBZ.
@ I think it’s all dbz lovers which have no concept of anything before Z and dislikes anything after it, a lot of super was a swing and a miss, but towards the universal tournament some good fights, animation and plot, whereas Daima has been great throughout with a really good pace.
Its a dislike for potential retcons and everyone turning into kindergardeners/babies basically rehashing gt with better animation and a more family friendly sorta story...when when it was first coming out everyone swore it wouldnt be close to GT 2.0. Many ppl are just watching it cause its toriyama's last work ppl would've been more harsh on it if that weren't the case where it doesnt have retcons it seems to have nice lore expansions but the average fan doesnt care much about that or the fact its a prequel ppl wanna see something current and with high stakes and danger, not some childlike kiddie wholesomefest but thats just my take on why ppl don't like it. (Well not all ppl the average fan)

The way I see it is that Vegeta has theoretically “mastered SSJ3”, or at least mastered it to some degree where his able to maintain it longer and sort of hold the draining on his stamina and energy for a certain about of time until he can’t anymore. We even saw after the battle Vegeta didn’t want or seemingly need a senzu bean so he must have been able to control the Full Power of SSJ3 during the battle but needed to end it quickly before the stamina drain returned. Honestly I love the fact that SSJ3 Vegeta is now canon and that Daima is starting to get more interesting, the hate this anime gets sometimes is annoying but I do like the constructive criticism it gets. We may have only 8 episodes left but I’m sure the ending of this anime will be a grand send off for one of Toriyamas original works. *R.I.P You’re number #1.*

?? We completely did see during the fight with the third tamagami the lightnings of SS2, not only that but the hair at the end was the SS2 style. We see it right at the end right after the last hit.
You should change the title.. I was lucky enough to not see it yet and the hype when Vegeta's hair was growing was crazy. Was mostly "OMG, there's no way!" That excitement wouldn't be there if had happened to see the title of the video before I watched though.
People are complaining about Vegeta having SSJ3 because they don’t get why he wouldn’t use it vs Beerus when he got mad in BoG. 1. The form sucks, Goku and Veget kinda swore off the form in Super and don’t use it in true life or death fights. The form sucks. It’s also closer to mutation than a straight up transformation and pushes Saiyans biology. You don’t just rage pop into ssj3 2. In the exact same movie/arc, Goku gets angry and only transforms into SSJ. You can get rage boost in lower forms and still be stronger than an unboosted higher form
or cuz daima is made after dbs irl lol great fanboy defense for why vegeta didnt use ss3 on beerus tho. its funny cuz he is all about saiyan pride and ss3 is the pinnicle and final form of canon ss forms... smh. its sad and cute tho how vegeta folds in front of beerus. thank you toriyama for broly tho who is now the true representation of saiyan route of powers. and most importantly saiyan pride! an ss3 enraged would be just as if not more effective. same scenario could have happened if goku saw chihchi wrecked. like we saw goku wreck fused zamasu and break his halo.

SSJ2 is only mastered by the goku black arc to be a default ssj form since that form too is just not as good as pumping up SSJ until then BoG Goku LITERALLY has an entire rage seen vs Vegeta when the strongest form he has access too is SSJ3 and he STILL only goes SSJ
@ShaudL unsure if goku really wanted to transform when he was enraged. He still thought he was a super saiyan god, so he probably just wanted to power up further and accidentally went super saiyan 1 due to how proficient they are with it.

At this point I'm pretty sure they're just going to forget what happened in Daima somehow. But even then, it implies that Vegeta had already learned how to go SSJ3. So that means he just never pulls it out because he doesn't need it in Super and doesn't even want them to know he can do it lol
Just wanna point out that Vegeta didn't succeed in the second test because he's "good at math", he succeeded because he realized that it wasn't a math question at all, it was a logic puzzle, all because of the last sentence of the riddle "How many biscuits was (the snake) able to eat". Vegeta correctly deduced that snakes can't eat biscuits, so the answer was zero. No math needed. Also, to everyone saying "Vegeta didn't use SSJ3 against Beerus because of the stamina drain and it's an inefficient form" are completely ignring that in this exact episode, we saw Vegeta (in a kid's body) use SSJ3 more efficiently than anyone else in Dragon Ball history, to the point where he is not only the first person (canonically) to successfully defeat an opponent, but to also not detransform due to running out of stamina! And this is still a few years before Battle of Gods. The idea that Vegeta not only doesn't manage to progress with SSJ3, but straight up backslides to the point where he doesn't even consider using it against freakin Beerus, just makes Vegeta look like an idiot. Finally, hype over an episode doesn't justify spoiling it for others in your thumbnail and title. You (and nearly every other DBZ channel) are just ruining the first time experience for everyone who hasn't seen it yet. "You should have watched it already" is not an excuse.
Tamagamis are pretty strong, but I think the trials were the real reason no one could gather the dragonballs lol. We have exciting battles all the time in Dragonball, so I really enjoyed those trials.

I really do enjoy these two as a duo. It’s surprisingly not a dynamic I can recall much of in the DB franchise. Especially given they’re not necessarily evil or good. They’re just…Arinsu’s little powerful children lol.
I also like how Arinsu switched from this evil cunning genius plotter vibe to sort of a Team Rocket Jessie vibe, and not treating her Majin children as slaves but has her disappointed and proud parent moments with them.
Goku did use SSJ2 during the Tamagami fight the moment he released the kamehameha. You can see the hair style change and the zappy zaps though that can be a bit hard to tell since the use of colours went wild during it.

Yes, they made it look like Vegeta was going to lose at first. But the fact that Vegeta transformed into SSJ3 and won was a surprise to me. It's great that Dragon Ball can still surprise viewers. And both Vegeta and SSJ3 deserved to win. It was refreshing

I love how this confirms 2 of my biggest beliefs.
1 being that Vegeta could use ssj3 but its just a completely impractical form to use, considering the way it burns through the energy in the cells and shortens the life of the user.
And 2 being that Vegito gets his kicking-only, crossed arms attitude from Vegeta. Freaking loved that little reference. But wow... the first canon onscreen victory of SSj3 being Vegeta. Pretty awesome. Maybe this means its possible we'll get a (kid) SSj3 Vegito if Kuu and Duu merge at the end of Daima.

I remember back when Masako made it a point not to put spoilers in his thumbnails and titles.
I literally came here to comment asking him not to put spoilers in his videos. They usually come out only a day after the episode airs, so not everyone has seen it yet. SSJ3 Vegeta was completely spoiled for me simply because this video showed up in my feed. I have actually unsubbed to MasakoX as a result (no actual issues with him, but I don't want this to happen again).
db fans just don't gaf anymore, i got spoiled almost immediately by an artist i had notifications on for, first time he did a daima spoiler so it caught me offguard, i muted dbshype because he spoils everything in an episode but it wasn't enough. then bandai revealed the shf ssj3 and youtube recommendations to me so i stood no chance. the official db twitter spoiling duukuu also sucks. what's wrong with everyone nowadays? i see people holding out spoilers for 1 week in other fandoms, and an extra week before spoilers in thumbnails and titles. meanwhile db fans expect you to be refreshing crunchyroll 30 minutes in advance to be one of the first fans ever to watch it
The test Tamagami 2 gives to Vegeta was pure evil. To give myself a chuckle, I decided to play along with the test and keep track of the question in my head. But I, and I imagine most people who also tried to answer the question on their own, was keeping track of how many of the biscuits were left, not who ate what, lol.
Also, Goku commented that Vegeta used to eat critters. Was that a reference to Vegeta's first appearance, when Vegeta and Nappa appeared to be eating the remains of their enemies? That was the only time I could think of where Vegeta was eating really unorthodox food.

So those of us who watched super and kept saying "it's not that vegeta CANT use ssj3, he just doesn't because it's worthless compared to the god transformations" were right.

I swear. I like masako and his content but damn I was not happy seeing that pop up on my feed before I had a chance to sit and watch it myself. It took the energy out of that moment which should’ve been surprise and hype. I was a bit upset that I got SSJ3 Vegeta spoiled for me when I saw your post, but when I saw it in the episode and saw that Vegeta’s hair doesn’t drop, legitimately I still got hype. Besides the retcons and plot holes from other parts of the original, Z, and Super, which sounds like more that it is, I feel Daima is the best written, most compact, and cohesive story we have gotten out of the mainline anime. Ever maybe if the end sticks the landing.
Not to mention the animation is beautiful.
Except Daima isn't canon so why are you wasting your time with it? Everyone fails at some point. It's just sad that Toriyama's last manga was such a retcon and plothole filled failure.

When trying to decide which of the two is canon you have to ask yourself "Which of these two contradicts material that has already been determined to be canon?". Super already was and never contradicted Z, while Daima contradicts Super thus Daima isn't canon.

And people like freaking Geekdom had been posting for months about this episode trying to get kudos from 12 year Olds giving him validation for being right about his obvious insider information. There are way worse offenders out there than Masako.

Unfortunately someone decided to post the reveal on here an hour or so after airing, and I got spoiled thanks to the front page. Great episode though.
I do like how even Vegeta's SSJ3's hair is different. It's shorter and spikier than Goku's. IIRC, it's the hair SSJ3 Goku was originally gonna get. I was surprised (but also kind of relieved) that Tamagami #1 didn't hear Kuu give Duu the answer, but also like how supportive of a brother Kuu is and didn't mind he wasn't credited for it. A bit hard to believe there's only 8 episodes left considering all 3 Tamagami have been defeated, and they're already on their way to the 1st Demon Realm. But that's what makes me more excited, cause there's a lot they can do and still have plenty of time for the final battle(s). Can't wait!
I am unsure about SS3 Vegeta but that might be me being a wet blanket. The Kuu and Duu brotherly bond is my favorite part of the episode to be honest. Just wholesomeness the whole time.
Lastly Vegeta getting the question right felt more like a lucky guess then him working it out to me. It really looked like he was sweating bullets trying to get an answer and not his normal confident self.

I personally got to see the episode yesterday thankfully but when it’s that recent, putting such spoilers in both the title and thumbnail, that’s not great. I especially think of those who have to wait for the episodes to come out on Netflix and such. If you really want to talk about it so soon, there are ways to make it less spoilery.

I’m just asking you make an effort for those who don’t get to see the episode the very day it comes out. Even those who get the early release don’t necessarily have the time to watch it right away.

Also I'm guessing the "Surprise" of next episode is that Glorio did the small wire sabotage to throw Panzy off, and connecting that wire inadvertently causes a bigger sabotage later on, seeing as the group were planning on going straight to the First Demon World.

Dude, spoiler in the thumbnail before I had a chance to watch. Not cool.
I woke up to a discord message saying "Watch Daima immediately, do not look at anything" and I was glad I did. But I knew the moment the Tamagami powered up that we were either getting early fusion or new form, I could feel the SSJ3 reveal coming as it was the only surprising thing Vegeta could do at this point in the timeline of the series.
I think Vegeta suits the SSJ3 look better than Goku ever did, and I feel like his hair doesn't droop because he's so small, I suspect as an adult the SSJ3 hair will droop down at the back.

Even though Vegeta having Super Saiyan 3 raises A LOT of questions about how much Ki Vegeta had in Super, this DOES explain why Vegeta was the quickest in learning how to use DIVINE Ki. Vegeta seemingly has Mastered 3 which makes sense in general due to how much training the Prince of all Saiyans does in the gravity he does on a daily basis. Still, Toriyama gave us something for Vegeta WE ALL wanted him to have and it was a glorious thing to witness, especially if you saw the scene by pure accident on twitter.

It doesn’t raise much as it still fits in terms of BoG. Three is intense concentration and deep rooted power within. Two is high emotional rage/training. Vegeta losing it against Beerus still works and going two is the farthest thing from intense concentration ever. It’s fine.

I also liked that going by the design, Toriyama OG draft of SS3 was used to give Vegeta a unique look compared to Goku.

On the design aspect, I really like how Vegeta SS3 is his own thing, not just Vegeta with Goku SS3 hair tacked on.

I don't think Kuu has more mathematical intelligence than Anrisu.
What he does have, as a fighter, is reflexes, which allowed him to read the fast-changing numbers better (but he is smart).
Same with Goku and the cup game. He didn;t have a problem follow Tamigami's movements so he was able to see him throwing the Dragonball.

Ever since the first episode I am happy when it is Friday because then I know Dragon Ball Daima releases another episode.
I have liked every episode so far, because when it is not fighting, it answers questions that might have popped up, has something funny happen or expands on the lore of the series.
When the full serie is released, it will be a thoroughly enjoyable watch, of that I am certain.

Honestly, according to my beliefs, Vegeta did go into Super Saiyan 2 as Majin Vegeta.
Think about it. His hair and body mass grew and expanded, as well as his power during that transformation. (Which by the way, Majin Boo saga is one of the best sagas out there besides my all time favorite: 'Broly: The legendary super saiyan). Like if you agree 👍

There is something that we have to acknowledge! Super Saiyan 3, it has never gotten a win no matter who used it. Goku could not beat Fat Buu, (he was thrashing about Fat Buu using Super Saiyan 3, but Goku was knocked out and did not see what happened in the fight between Fat Buu and Vegeta and even Majin Buu's regeneration, and even though he was a Spirit and could handle a little less energy drainage that a full mortal body, Majin Buu would likely outlast him with his stamina and regeneration if it came to that), Gotenks didn't beat Super Buu, and even got absorbed by Super Buu, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku did not beat Kid Buu, he was draining too much energy. and Kid Buu was going to outlast him, with his great stamina and regeneration, and even at the last scene with the Spirit Bomb Goku even acknowledges that the battle with Kid Buu was not a one on one fight, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku lost against Beerus. Vegeta is the only character who has gotten a win in Super Saiyan 3 in this fight against Tamagami 2!!

Vegeta hair grows backward, but not downwards as Goku, Gotenks, and all other none main line story cannon SSJ3 forms of Vegeta, Kid Gohan and Future Trunks. Maybe modern Toriyama wanted to give every SSJ3 character a design design that would be unique to only them, instead for them all too like kinda the same, so maybe if Gohan got SSJ 3 he would look like his beast form, but the hair would be blond/yellow minus the eyebrows and the eyes would be green coloured.
SSJ3 Trunks might look like a bigger version of his Grade 3 hair. Big thick spikes in all directions

Every episode just continues to surprise me. We are so so lucky that we get/got daima. This series is so so special. Daima is beyond what I hoped it would be. I genuinely would be so more than okay with another season of daima rather than super!
Daima seems to be Toriyama just saying, "Canon? Who needs that?"
So much of this show seems to contradict Super, that you'd almost think he was resentful if it.
We did see zappy zaps with Gokus fight with Tamagami 3, just when he did his Kamehameha at the end of the fight. So he ended in ssj2
I don’t understand the hate for this show, I get a mix of original DB, mixed in a little DBZ with actual explanations on past theories and stories, love it!
Any hate of the show is just either a form of protest because they feel that it somehow stole more Super from them or they're DBZ-only fans who refuse to like anything after DBZ.
@ I think it’s all dbz lovers which have no concept of anything before Z and dislikes anything after it, a lot of super was a swing and a miss, but towards the universal tournament some good fights, animation and plot, whereas Daima has been great throughout with a really good pace.
Its a dislike for potential retcons and everyone turning into kindergardeners/babies basically rehashing gt with better animation and a more family friendly sorta story...when when it was first coming out everyone swore it wouldnt be close to GT 2.0.
Many ppl are just watching it cause its toriyama's last work ppl would've been more harsh on it if that weren't the case where it doesnt have retcons it seems to have nice lore expansions but the average fan doesnt care much about that or the fact its a prequel ppl wanna see something current and with high stakes and danger, not some childlike kiddie wholesomefest but thats just my take on why ppl don't like it. (Well not all ppl the average fan)

After the Tamagami got the boost, SS2 was NOT gonna cut it.
The way I see it is that Vegeta has theoretically “mastered SSJ3”, or at least mastered it to some degree where his able to maintain it longer and sort of hold the draining on his stamina and energy for a certain about of time until he can’t anymore. We even saw after the battle Vegeta didn’t want or seemingly need a senzu bean so he must have been able to control the Full Power of SSJ3 during the battle but needed to end it quickly before the stamina drain returned.
Honestly I love the fact that SSJ3 Vegeta is now canon and that Daima is starting to get more interesting, the hate this anime gets sometimes is annoying but I do like the constructive criticism it gets. We may have only 8 episodes left but I’m sure the ending of this anime will be a grand send off for one of Toriyamas original works.

I haven't even had a chance to watch it, yet you, like Geekdom and all the others just spoiled the episode. Now I have to dislike, unsubscribe and set the channel to do not recommend. I wish there was a single DBZ TH-camr I could sub to that didn't ruin everything so cheaply
I would have been really happy to see the transformation in the episode first but... I guess unlike you I don't get that
?? We completely did see during the fight with the third tamagami the lightnings of SS2, not only that but the hair at the end was the SS2 style. We see it right at the end right after the last hit.
Also how strong is that Kraken? That thing was unfased by a SS3.
The problem with Vegeta is that we get here his mid Dragon Ball Super Personality.

You should change the title.. I was lucky enough to not see it yet and the hype when Vegeta's hair was growing was crazy. Was mostly "OMG, there's no way!"
That excitement wouldn't be there if had happened to see the title of the video before I watched though.
People are complaining about Vegeta having SSJ3 because they don’t get why he wouldn’t use it vs Beerus when he got mad in BoG.
1. The form sucks, Goku and Veget kinda swore off the form in Super and don’t use it in true life or death fights. The form sucks. It’s also closer to mutation than a straight up transformation and pushes Saiyans biology. You don’t just rage pop into ssj3
2. In the exact same movie/arc, Goku gets angry and only transforms into SSJ. You can get rage boost in lower forms and still be stronger than an unboosted higher form

SSJ3 is literally an inefficient form, it’s said all the time. SSJ2 is only mastered by the goku black arc to be a default ssj form since that form too is just not as good as pumping up SSJ until then
BoG Goku LITERALLY has an entire rage seen vs Vegeta when the strongest form he has access too is SSJ3 and he STILL only goes SSJ
@ShaudL unsure if goku really wanted to transform when he was enraged.
He still thought he was a super saiyan god, so he probably just wanted to power up further and accidentally went super saiyan 1 due to how proficient they are with it.

@ShaudL but it could also mean that, unlike goku who thinks SSG is the strongest thing he has, he'd try to go to 3 because king kai tells him that goku lost against Berus so 2 wasn't gonna cut it. Even if the form sucks, he'd still need it like in Daima.
And trunks transforms into funny "rage" transformation instead, but that's another can of worms that DBS just threw at us lol.
It is odd that it took Vegeta this long. After all Super Saiyan 3 is unlocked by screaming really loudly and nobody out screams Vegeta.

At this point I'm pretty sure they're just going to forget what happened in Daima somehow. But even then, it implies that Vegeta had already learned how to go SSJ3. So that means he just never pulls it out because he doesn't need it in Super and doesn't even want them to know he can do it lol
Just wanna point out that Vegeta didn't succeed in the second test because he's "good at math", he succeeded because he realized that it wasn't a math question at all, it was a logic puzzle, all because of the last sentence of the riddle "How many biscuits was (the snake) able to eat". Vegeta correctly deduced that snakes can't eat biscuits, so the answer was zero. No math needed.
Also, to everyone saying "Vegeta didn't use SSJ3 against Beerus because of the stamina drain and it's an inefficient form" are completely ignring that in this exact episode, we saw Vegeta (in a kid's body) use SSJ3 more efficiently than anyone else in Dragon Ball history, to the point where he is not only the first person (canonically) to successfully defeat an opponent, but to also not detransform due to running out of stamina! And this is still a few years before Battle of Gods. The idea that Vegeta not only doesn't manage to progress with SSJ3, but straight up backslides to the point where he doesn't even consider using it against freakin Beerus, just makes Vegeta look like an idiot.
Finally, hype over an episode doesn't justify spoiling it for others in your thumbnail and title. You (and nearly every other DBZ channel) are just ruining the first time experience for everyone who hasn't seen it yet. "You should have watched it already" is not an excuse.
Tamagamis are pretty strong, but I think the trials were the real reason no one could gather the dragonballs lol. We have exciting battles all the time in Dragonball, so I really enjoyed those trials.
