What people are missing is that if he was an adult, he wouldn't need SSJ3. So, it makes sense that as a kid, he needed that transformation to make up for that gap in power. Long story short, becoming kids still depowered the saiyans considerably
@@randybobandy9828 He turned ssj2 in the last moment, that's when tamagami n3 decides do give up. Also the tamagami n2 was powered up by Neva. i do believe their power are different since we can see that the tamagami n1 was able to power up by himself

Like, how did he know Vegeta had SS3? He intentionally powered up the Tamagami so Vegeta could show everyone what he's got.
I’ve always heard the notion that while Goku might get the new form first, Vegeta is the one that is able to stabilize and maintain new forms better. I can’t lie, I’ve hated the way Vegeta has been done in the series for a long time but Kid Vegeta going bonkers like this warmed my heart up this holiday season lmao
@@shivasamadhi goku always reach a new form first but Vegeta always is stronger when he reaches that same form but Goku is just a step ahead he was born with a higher battle power and remember royal Sayains can talk and control the ape form that control alone make him better at controlling forms Goku can’t do that when he turns ape he’s wild
Agreed. I think that point is made best with his perfected Super Saiyan Blue. Goku's drive to fight comes a lot from his curiousity and desire to explore new styles and strategies to best his opponent- which we see in Tournament of Power as he improves UI before mastering it at the end. Vegeta is more concerned with focusing his strength and perfecting his strongest form acquired. In order to display his prowess and superiority to his opponent. Both mindsets make them stronger in different ways, which we're thankfully seeing more of visually now as well.
Goku mastered ssj1 while Vegeta only got it to grade 1 Goku got ssj2 with the conventional way while Vegeta got it via Majin way To say Vegeta masters the forms while Goku pioneers them is kinda disingenuous
It’s fair to say vegeta was able to jump in and out of ssj2 before they descended down the ship. I always took it as vegeta didn’t know how much goku had surpassed gohan until that flash of energy that contained ssj3 level ki.
Ppl forget vegeta is an absolute prodigy in every sense if he had gokus life lessons he’d be absolutely unstoppable. As a child he was rivaling his father and absolutely decimating saibamen.
What? That's goku, the bangs and sides are shorter than the back. Where as with Vegeta it's long in the front and short in the back. That's literally the exact opposite of a mullet. The closet Saiyan mullet is ssj4
Creating the technique always takes longer than teaching it. That was literally how Goku learned the Kamehameha. Vegeta now knowing what SS3 was probably learned it directly from Goku, but knowing the drawbacks, probably was looking to master SSJ2. It is quite literally what Trunks ended up doing in the Super Manga.
Yeah but this is a transformation not a technique what your saying applies to KaioKen and thats it None of yur info applies to Super Saiyan transformation
I don't think he learned it from Goku, because Bulma says he was training by himself and Goku was surprised when he went SSJ3. So this is all Vegeta learning it himself.
@@ashleybanks-wm4cg If you know the goal it's easier to get too. Each form is just an amp of the previous. The same method applies. The kids with no real battle experience seen it one time and as Gotenks did it.
I think it's more about having the knowledge that it exists is the biggest reason. If you know a new level of ssj exists then it's far easier to obtain that vs a form you have no idea if it's possible.
I love that DRAGON BALL DAIMA is the gift that keeps on giving content wise. I was waiting for this particular video from you, Scholar. As always, you did not disappoint, man.
Akira Toriyama did this thing on that episode. Us Vegeta fans FINALLY got to see SSJ3 Vegeta made canon with a win under his belt. You're da man, Big Tori.
Vegeta is just a natural prodigy. Plus I believe that his time from being fused with Goku as Vegito he saw what SS3 had done to Goku’s stamina and Gotenks as a SS3 so he may have trained by himself and unleashed during his private training time. So it stands to reason that he was able to perfect the forms drawbacks.
I'll just say... it makes sense. He could simply ask his son to describe how to do it, since Gotenks figured out the form... if needed. And I like it as it helps make Blue Evolution make more sense. He knows how to evolve SSJ in different ways. I would like to think Blue Evolution is simply SSJ2 with god ki. Heck. This could even explain the eyebrow similarity with Ultra Ego. Vegeta broke down elements of the SSJ transformations and figure part of SSJ3 makes sense for use with Destruction Ki.
😂 it's not like vegeta to Ask to his kiddo how GOTRUNKS manage to transform himself in ssj3...🎉 He found it out by himself... Thx to the zenkai boost of his death Thx to the fusion who show him the mind of Goku Thx to his prince will... 😂❤🎉
One of the reasons I like daima is the quality of the art and animation opposed to the sloppy style of super. Been watching those two lately and the contrast is pretty stark going from an episode of Daima to Super
Yeah lots of ppl feel that way. I like super but i HATE the way everyone looks like a skinny nerd. They looked like fighters in Z. Just look at Gohan at the start of the frieza returns movie lol.
I'm glad that the writers are starting to understand their own lore because I've been saying this for over a decade that Vegeta would be a better Super Saiyan 3 then Goku because Vegeta literally tortures his body under death defying gravity all the time... literally all the time!!! his stamina would be insane not to mention pybara already said that he has better kincontrol than Goku which is actually canonical already because when he was a kid he could harness power on an adult level. So I'm glad that now that some of the older wigs are not calling the shots as much anymore the younger writers are starting to make this thing make a little more sense like we've all been saying they need to do.
Yeah, but in the cell Saga, we see that Goku trains smarter, not harder. Goku even says that torturing your body isn't training (the body can only take so much, and once you push yourself beyond a certain point, theres no real gains to be had). And Goku proved that by the fact that even though Vegeta trained another year in the time chamber, he still couldn't catch up to Goku. Up until Super, Vegeta got to a point where he couldn't bridge the gap anymore because Goku was better at training himself. Basically, Vegeta was stuck chasing Goku because he didn't understand what he needed to do to train himself up until Whis basically told him what to do to catch up to Goku.
@Hei_Darkfire yeah it worked in that moment but that's not an absolution it's just that in that moment Goku got better gains in the Super Saiyan 2 pathway, but who's to say if they had stayed in there for 5 years whether or not that that grueling torture would be a positive effect. Remember they are Saiyans which means every cut, scrape, or burn they experience their muscle fibers grow back stronger so what if Vegeta shattered the limits of that tortures plateau and broke through a new ceiling? It's s also evident here, by bulma's words. I think the lesson that we can learn here is every warrior will find their own way. But I still stand by the fact that Vegeta's gravity training would definitely make a form like Super Saiyan 3 more ideal for him than it would be for Goku. So Goku's smart lightweight training might be the reason why he can use ultra instinct and he's so Swift and nimble but Vegeta's heavy duty training is the reason why he can be Ultra ego and literally Master the bide technique - the ability to take a hit and give it back twice as strong. So if you look at how their pathways are this goes directly into Vegeta's pathway. I'm calling it now he's a stronger Super Saiyan 3 than Goku, for that reason!
@@TheMeriot1 You're basically talking about them abusing Zenkais. And at this point in the story, they aren't relying on those anymore. Vegeta already tried that in the Frieza saga and it got to a point where they weren't exactly helping him reach the level he needed. In the Super manga it's even stated that they basically get diminishing returns the more zenkais they get. And we see it implied in the main story too because they seem to stop getting them at some point. Also, that's not how bodies work. If you push yourself so hard that you're inuring yourself, you don't magically find a point to get stronger once you start injuring yourself. You keep getting weaker until you do permanent damage to your body. Yes, Vegeta's a Saiyan and their bodies work slightly differently, but they are similar enough to humans in how their bodies are built with bones and muscles. The major difference is that they're stronger and they get zenkais. The only way he'd get stronger at that point would be healing and getting a zenkai (but again, the zenkais are basically nonexistent by the cell saga and Vegeta isn't relying on them anymore). I'm not even going to mention Ego because Ego isn't a thing in Daima, and even Ego has limits to how much punishment Vegeta can take Vegeta has his own natural talent. Don't get me wrong, he is a very skilled warrior, and in Super, he does find his own path to get stronger and he does finally bridge the gap when he starts following his own path. But we're talking a point in the series where he was still chasing Goku, and couldn't bridge the gap. Plus, who's to say that Goku hasn't also become a better SS3 by this point? We actually don't know if Goku still has issues with SS3 at this point or not. It is possible Goku overcame those issues too considering he's probably had time to train the form in his living body.
@@Hei_Darkfirei agree absolutely with this. In the entirety of the Z anime, Vegeta was shown to be stronger than Goku during his first arrival on Earth... when he turned Super Saiyan against 19 (although that is debatable by Some...I've heard fans place Goku & vegeta at about the same strength at that point)...and when he first exited the time room before Goku & Gohan went in. Other than those few moments (minus the first battle on Earth, because Vegeta did walk Goku down in regards to raw Power there) Goku has always displayed better efficiency & power than Vegeta throughout Z. Vegeta was always trying to chase Goku down...throughout Z. And it's all due to the fact that Goku trained in a much more sensible way that can optimize growth & gains. Vegeta might've solely been focused on maximizing his power, via potential growths, but it never paid off for him, during Z, with Goku. Those small exceptions were not really definitive as to the totality & full scale of their dynamics in power. I'm happy Vegeta got this form and an appropriate win with that form here. I know he has a lot of very dedicated fans too (I'm a fan of Vegeta too...but he's third in my favorite characters). But I hope we don't try a few revisionists ideas & wishful speculations behind this achievement that Toriyama made happen for us. It's truly wonderful. I am curious: are some fans going to suddenly start using GT events to try and compare Vegeta SS3 performance as a kid to Goku's SS3 performance as a kid from GT against Baby? Personally, I liked GT. But there's a stigma that some fans attach to anything mentioned in the GT universe. I just wonder if some fans are about to attempt to use the GT universe to make comparisons to those two.
It’s sad that SSJ3 in general was always clowned on because nobody bothered to develop the transformation for 20 years. After what Beerus did, it’s pretty obvious that the creators never cared about the form. 😢 Super Saiyan 3 was always my personal favorite of all the transformations, but I understand from a story point of view why fans don’t like it, but the idea that NO writer bothered to ever bring back the form to master it and develop it, which this is Dragon Ball!! Anything is possible, it was just forgotten, and it kept getting hits and misses. I wish the form had an arc where Goku finally mastered the form and it’s flaws were gone, and he was able to be in that state longer. Like how Naruto couldn’t use Rasenshiriken at first and was told it was extremely flawed and it was impossible! Kishimoto didn’t just leave it hanging. He wrote the main character to finally find a solution to master a powerful technique and was able to use it consistently after afterwards. If Naruto can do it, Goku can as well. But Toriyama and Toyotarou just completely abandoned the transformation and focused on new ones that a lot of fans didn’t care for because they were uncreative with a hair color. Going back to master SSJ3 would’ve been an interesting arc. 🤩
SS3 had the unfortunate position of being introduced at the very end of the original manga. Thus it was never going to have the time it needed to be perfected before the story ended. By the time Dragonball was brought back it was immediately power cliffed and rendered redundant by Super Saiyan God.
there is still hope one saiyan of legendary birth can achieve and master the form... unless they decide to give him god ki instead. i hope broly continues the saiyan route of power.
My favorite action figure as a kid was SS3 Goku. The Buu arc hadn't even been dubbed yet, meaning I didn't even know its context or how it looked animated. But I still thought it was the coolest most badass form in the series.
dont think toyo will care enough to bring it up in some topic... since ss route of power with goku and vegeta is considered weak to their god ki and etc forms. but for broly maybe they will do something. i hope.
I think Vegeta has mastered SS3 whereas Gotenks and Goku don't have it mastered, that's why their hair hangs low. Vegeta charges it just enough to keep the energy controlled
You would be correct. He clearly has better control. Didnt get winded as quickly as Goku and Gotenks. All ssj3 forms had short screentime yet Vegeta shows that he is the Saiyan. Goku is a great fighter while Vegeta is a great warrior. Youd think they would mean the same thing but not quite.
We already saw Vegeta SSJ 3 in Super Dragon Ball Heroes and in the games Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle 😅
Tbh, I feel it's not a case of unlocking it, it's more a case of using it. Vegeta clearly does not value 3 all that much since it's inefficient, a waste of energy. Burst of power at the cost of gassing out fast. It's a power-stressing form, ala grade 2 and 3. So really, 3 does seem to be the easiest to get. So it makes sense Vegeta wouldn't bother since he doesn't want to bother with it.
To mention something Goku and Vegeta could exist as a dream state while fused and still remember everything they did as a fusion. Reason is some people do remember the dream's they had on a regular basis. I do this quite often all though this is not the norm. Because most people forget their dreams a couple seconds after waking up. But other people can remember their dreams if they are vivid enough or depending on how deep of a sleep they get. Most of my dreams are wild to say the least.
The shortness kinda ruins the intimidation of Super Saiyan 3. Btw, the first thumbnail you have now looks good but the background should be blue to go with the other ones.
@@ScorchingProductions1agreed but if SSJ3 had to happen then Daima made it happen to show the one thing Toriyama had. And that was to get over the hate on vegeta and he finally completed the cycle going from dunking on vegeta to showing him respect Toriyama honestly being a real G
@elliotsturtplus340 toriyama been showin vegeta love since dbs happened. giving him the chance to be really be goku equal. in power ups... whereas in dbz goku was stated as number one by vegeta. and it seem he never was going to get any better. even when BOG came around... until we see god iki ntroduced. lol kind of sad that is retconned now but good to see vegeta getting shine and development.
Obviously they didn’t plan for vegeta to have ssj3 in battle of gods but it’s still feels weird to see a vegeta with ssj3 before battle of gods and not have used it against beerus. I wonder how they will retcon it.
Im thinking about it so vegeta does have a level of being a prodigy because in the beginning he wasnt really training just going to different planets but when he trains he has a chance of upgrading his transformations and mastering them and kakarot is one that is able to discover new transformations fast. Vegeta even upgraded to blue evolution kakarot just stacked two kaioken and blue

I’m liking Daima so far. I’m watching it pretending Super doesn’t exist, and this episode finally gave SSJ3 some respect. It felt a bit childish at first but it’s starting to pick up some. I do hope they become adults sooner than later though
@@bumblebower1529 The manga fixed most of these issues, and the Manga is the one that's canon (confirmed by Toriyama in 2018), he probably saw that the ideas had potential but were badly implemented, so he helped fixed that in the Manga
The only thing that I seen that nobody has mentioned, is that Vegeta just reminds me of Chucky from childs play here with his no eyebrows and small body. I literally can't unsee it, but I'm a big Vegeta fan. It was getting a little annoying that Vegeta was getting beaten up a little bit by Tamagami and the Big squid when as soon as Goku went SSJ, he No Difficulty beat tamagami 3. But besides that I am really happy!
I think the reason Goku never really uses ssj3 like he should is because he never trained it in his living body like Super Saiyan, after Buu no one was strong enough of an opponent for him to want to master ssj3 and once Beerus shows up he unlocks Super Saiyan God which is stronger than ssj3, it's like Goku says in the tournament of power, ssj3 drains alot of stamina and because he has god ki it does him no good to master ssj3 when god is available, I'm glad Vegeta seems to have it mastered though
When would Goku have used ssj3? He used it against Buu and then the next threat was Beerus which he used ssj3 again. After Beerus he had a better transformation. Now we have daima, I bet we will see ssj3 Goku again against Majin duu
I like to think, Vegeta figured out SSj3 between Z and Super, and during Super, he never had the need for 3 since God Forms. I haven't watched Daima yet, so I guess between Z and Daima. Why wouldn't he try and figure it out, especially after seeing Goku using it against Kid Buu. It's Super Saiyan 3! He got Super Saiyan after seeing both Goku and Trunks go Super Saiyan, he got Super Saiyan 2 after Gohan went Super Saiyan 2, by that process, he would get Super Saiyan 3 after seeing Goku go Super Saiyan 3! As for mastering the form, he made the mistake with Grade 2 once, he knows not to make that mistake again, his focus after obtaining 3 would be to eliminate the stamina drain or any other weakness the first grade of SSJ3 comes with.
@@thelittlebosniaexperience8181 Considering Vegeta was terrified of Beerus, he may have thought transforming into 3 would take too long, or, he knew it didn't matter and just went for 2 as a test, considering how easily Goku went down in 3, he knew it was useless to even try.
Buu saga and Daima appear to take place during the same year. Buu saga begins in March and Trunks birthday is in November. Trunks was 8 years old during the Buu saga and in Daima we immediately see him turn 9 in the first episode. so I believe with this knowledge that Daima is only a few months after the defeat of Majin Buu.
It's like a cross between 2 and 3. His hair's only a bit longer than 2, but not as long as Goku or Gotenks SSJ3 hair. Maybe it's a perfected form, or at least his own version of ssj3, that's less of a drain. Ultimately still too inefficient, energy-wise, so Vegeta eventually ditches it. Likely... He only learned how to use ssj3 to try and improve it, still ultimately deciding it wasn't worth it, except for last-ditch hail-mary moments. Those didn't really come up before God Ki, with the exception of Beerus and Vegeta correctly realized that SSJ3 wouldn't do enough against him (because he already heard about Goku getting smoked in 3 hits) so he opted to conserve stamina with SSJ2. Although Vegeta only really attacked Beerus after Bulma got slapped and was in an enraged state, I think his tactical mind was still in play. 🤷♂️ Sorry for the brain-dump. Just a random thought at about 10 minutes in, lol
I love this addition to the series, but it still pokes a couple nitpicky holes in Super. At the time, I had hoped and really expected we would have gotten this form in the "My Bulma" moment.
My theory is that super Saiyan 3 with the hair going down the back means the power stability is eighing down on them. And the hair sticking up meaning he removed that restriction
I don't know why SSJ3 Vegeta's hair grew to the half only instead of the full hair like SSJ3 Goku and Gotenks, but I think it must be the "incomplete" version of SSJ3 that Vegeta reached through training, unlike Goku and Gotenks reached the "complete" version of SSJ3 from his training in the afterlife as well as the fusion technique. The reason why SSJ3 Vegeta looks like this in Daima is because his body and spirit were out of sync all the time before later fixed his problem when he was training on Planet Yardrat to learn the Forced Spirit Fission from Pybara in order to free all the souls from Moro. So, Vegeta was able to somehow reach the SSJ3 but couldn't access to the full power of SSJ3, only the half power of "incomplete" SSJ3 with his body and spirit being "out of sync" for that reason. Despite him being the "incomplete" SSJ3, he may be a little weaker than SSJ3 Goku and Gotenks but still be more than enough to win against Tamagami 2. But, after Daima, Vegeta probably stopped using his SSJ3 anymore since he realized that his "incomplete" SSJ3 form doesn't suit him in the battle so he focused to train on his SSJG and SSJB forms in Super since his god forms are better than SSJ3. This is only my theory, but that's what I believe about that reason why SSJ3 Vegeta's hair looks like this!
Even without fixing the stamina issues, SSJ3 is still no joke. It might not of been a sustainable form but 4x power boost is no joke and in most situation will be a quick victory like it was in Daima assuming the opponent isn't more than 2x your ssj2.
It also shuts up all of the people lowballing the god forms. Some people kept saying when Goku said even vegito couldn’t win he was only talking about ssj1 and he couldn’t go ssj3
I might actually finally watch this show, the first couple episodes were so bad and i def wasnt on board for a GT 2.0 but if vegeta is getting some Ws im here for it
2:21 I saw a picture a long time ago of the original concept design of super saiyan 3 goku. What is here slickback and stand in higher, but it was rejected.
I believe he learned the [faster] way from Goku, through the fusion. Then he trained to master it. After turning ssj3, he even started kicking with his arms crossed like Vegito did against Buuhan. The proper easter egg to give us a clue 💯
Hear me out. GT Vegeta cut his hair because he didn't like how his hair looked in SSJ3 Which is why his hair looked the way it did when Super Baby 2 used it 😅
I know it was never thought about to this degree, but i'd like to think that it comes down to what the zenkai is based on. It's an amped of version of the idea that your muscles and body only become stronger when pushed to its limit. I think the reason why vegeta's training ended up yielding a stronger form was because his body was allowed to be stressed and rest. When you all of a sudden don't have any limits, what's there to break? I think vegeta's real, limited body helped him train much more effectively, and in more real and practical conditions than goku's training.
Vegeta Learned SSB alone that are 400 times stronger than a inferior Transformation like SSJ3 if Vegeta can unlock SSB by himself can do anything is a genius.
One of the things that has made Dragon Ball transformations iconic is their emotional weight. Goku’s first Super Saiyan transformation on Namek is the culmination of an entire saga: Krillin’s death, his acceptance of his Saiyan origins, and his internal conflict between humanity and revenge. Similarly, Gohan’s Super Saiyan 2 transformation is the result of three development sagas, accompanied by one of the few permanent deaths in the series, that of Android 16. In contrast, Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 transformation in Dragon Ball DAIMA lacks this emotional weight. Even Bulma downplays Goku’s enthusiasm, simply commenting that Vegeta trained a lot to get there.
I'm going out on a limb to say, post buu ssj3 should be normalized at this point Look at super Goku using ssj3, he didn't show any visible tiredness after using it So saying Vegeta is built for 3 is kinda disrespectful to goku
i always thought that ssj 3 was incomplete since goku didn't know how draining it was as a mortal before the final fight with buu, idk why but it made sense for me, so maybe vegeta just prefected it and that's why his looks different and probably drains less, it's more perfected for an actual fight
It feels like when we first saw Blue KK Goku. Goku says he’d already been practicing and was saving it for Beerus but Hits time skip forced him to use it. Same situation here. Vegeta felt that boost in power from the Tamagami and basically had no choice but to pull out his ace by using Kakarots form. Now if Neva can do this for the Tamagami, Kuu and Duu could instantly become a problem if he decides to do the same for them…
We already saw Vegeta SSJ 3 in Super Dragon Ball Heroes and in the games Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle 😅
6:16 Goten and Trunks were also conceived from Super Saiyan fathers, which might explain why transforming is just natural to them. Which also explains Pans potential is Super.
Oh give me break. People are only saying that they love Vegeta having his own style of SSJ3 hairstyle because it's still so recent and everyone is still in aww of Vegeta finally doing. I bet in the future, a lot of those opinions will change. In reality, it's ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I've been dying to see him change into this form for a very long time. But, his hairstyle as well Gotenks hairstyle are exactly the same. Right down to the widows peak. If Gotenks SSJ3 form had hair flowing down his back, then Vegeta's SSJ3 form should have the exact same hairstyle
@randybobandy9828 I never said there was an explanation for it. I'm simply saying it's stupid to choose to make two people with exact same hairstyles grow into two completely different hairstyles for the exact same transformation
@SWOTHDRAHe is officially Super Saiyan 3. Stop the cap. The only plausible explanation is that the Royal blood affects the appearance of some transformations.
@TheRealNightShot That still is dumb. I wish royal blood gave me special control over the shape of my body parts 😐 Also, Trunks has royal blood and he's a part of Gotenks.
I like how it explains why Goku though Beast Gohan was ssj3, since it looks similar to Vegeta version. I think Vegeta know how to do Kamehameha but doesn't do because he have Galick Gun, which is similar. This is the guy who copied Krillin Destructi Disc after seeing once. People forget Vegeta is a prodigy.
This is absolutely insane I really like the new design of Super Saiyan 3 on Vegeta and I'm hoping maybe perhaps Super Saiyan 3 will look like something unique and Akira Toriyama definitely delivered making this transformation not looking stupid and not looking like something that's ripping off Sonic the Hedgehog.
bro he's half size. He can't have that long hair. Let's hope when they get adult again, we can see SSJ3 on vegeta once again, or a spar with goku in the same transformation.
Possible two reasons why vegeta ssj3 hair style looks different. One: different Saiyans could have different styles. Two: it looks like the original concept art toriyama made for ssj3.
If goku knew he couldve achieved the form the same way as vegeta or easier, mind you shenron told them the myth of how to achieve the form, without the help of god ki training vegeta did with whis. But goku feat is still more impressive his body adopted to the god ki which transferred into his base form is VERY IMPRESSIVE while vegeta trained for 6months to reach goku power, mind you if vegeta did the god ritual it isn't guaranteed his body would absorb the the god ki into his base like goku so in terms overall goku is a better fighting genius and works hard to achieve his form while vegeta is a jealous 50+ yr old man still acting like a child, Goku trains to protect peace in the world while your fan boying over a loser that fixiated by surpassing a man that trains his whole life to protect his world anyways vegeta is bozo...
And vegeta and goku learned ssjb at the same time so he didnt learn how to achieve that form by himself it was with the help of Goku the greater saiyan why the l prince got the form in the first place
I think that Vegeta was just unaware there was a form beyond super Saiyan 2. What I have noticed is that Vegeta is just very observant. He usually obtains forms he is aware of. But finds his own way of doing so. So in a sense Vegeta could never surpass Goku. I think he is capable of being stronger than Goku. But not completely surpassing him.

@@randybobandy9828 Neva used his magic to unlock the Tamagami's potential while fighting Vegeta. He didn't do that for the one Goku fought. You gotta watch out for that Neva guy. He's sneaky.
Goku mastered ssj1 while Vegeta only got it to grade 1
Goku got ssj2 with the conventional way while Vegeta got it via Majin way
To say Vegeta masters the forms while Goku pioneers them is kinda disingenuous
It’s fair to say vegeta was able to jump in and out of ssj2 before they descended down the ship. I always took it as vegeta didn’t know how much goku had surpassed gohan until that flash of energy that contained ssj3 level ki.
@@Vito-n5tBro is just yappin. Vegeta has never been stronger with the same form.
Ppl forget vegeta is an absolute prodigy in every sense if he had gokus life lessons he’d be absolutely unstoppable. As a child he was rivaling his father and absolutely decimating saibamen.
Now he has the same troll hair as beast Gohan 🤣
Amazing style lol
Sonic hair
Nah vegeta's is more like a mullet
What? That's goku, the bangs and sides are shorter than the back. Where as with Vegeta it's long in the front and short in the back. That's literally the exact opposite of a mullet. The closet Saiyan mullet is ssj4
What are you talking about is the original design it's not like Goku's son

I can't picture adult Vegeta looking like that
just picture beast gohan with no eyebrows and gold hair, there you go

SSJ3 was never shown canonically to look the same for every Saiyan. (DBH doesn't count, sorry)
Not canon.
@@CosmicGoku529 cry a ruver
Vegeta is just a natural prodigy. Plus I believe that his time from being fused with Goku as Vegito he saw what SS3 had done to Goku’s stamina and Gotenks as a SS3 so he may have trained by himself and unleashed during his private training time. So it stands to reason that he was able to perfect the forms drawbacks.
shoutout to vegeta for avenging one of the greatest forms
I love how both full blooded saiyans that use ss3 have black pupils but gotenks has the same pupils as a normal ss
This is the original super Saiyan 3 Akira toriyama wanted it to be right?
It just looks different
Concept art similarities
Except no tail
I'll just say... it makes sense. He could simply ask his son to describe how to do it, since Gotenks figured out the form... if needed.
And I like it as it helps make Blue Evolution make more sense. He knows how to evolve SSJ in different ways. I would like to think Blue Evolution is simply SSJ2 with god ki.
Heck. This could even explain the eyebrow similarity with Ultra Ego. Vegeta broke down elements of the SSJ transformations and figure part of SSJ3 makes sense for use with Destruction Ki.
😂 it's not like vegeta to Ask to his kiddo how GOTRUNKS manage to transform himself in ssj3...🎉
He found it out by himself... Thx to the zenkai boost of his death
Thx to the fusion who show him the mind of Goku
Thx to his prince will...
Is it weird that I like Vegeta's SSJ3 hair better than Goku's?
Lol. It's cool
Nah I genuinely love the idea of every ssj3 looking different and iam not going to lie I need mini vegeta in sparking zero RN

Its perfectly normal my friend, I feel the same 😂
They kept the hair esthetic the same. Don't u guys remember super vegeta? It's his hair but taller. I like it
I'm glad that the writers are starting to understand their own lore because I've been saying this for over a decade that Vegeta would be a better Super Saiyan 3 then Goku because Vegeta literally tortures his body under death defying gravity all the time... literally all the time!!! his stamina would be insane not to mention pybara already said that he has better kincontrol than Goku which is actually canonical already because when he was a kid he could harness power on an adult level.
I'm not even going to mention Ego because Ego isn't a thing in Daima, and even Ego has limits to how much punishment Vegeta can take
Vegeta has his own natural talent.
Super Saiyan 3 was always my personal favorite of all the transformations, but I understand from a story point of view why fans don’t like it, but the idea that NO writer bothered to ever bring back the form to master it and develop it, which this is Dragon Ball!!
SSJ God and SSJ Blue are such boring forms. I prefer SSJ3 and SSJ4 all day every day and twice on sundays over the lazy recolor forms of SSJ1.

No, that wouldn't makes sense because Goku's ssj3 hair in the tournament of power was the same as it was in DBZ against Majin Buu.
i like that a theoretical mastered ss3 would have hair like vegeta...

Sooooo ssj 2.5??? His hair looks dumb

Exactly. Everyones like why didnt he go 3 when beerus hit bulma. Im like bc hes a master of 2. Power aint everything. Jiren proved that.
If that's the case, he would've used ssj3 against Buu instead of blowing himself up since he would've known ssj3 can defeat fat Buu
This whole show vegeta is more of a main character than goku

The fighters can learn by just watching. Aswell knowing it's best used for a short time.

I like how each sayin has different hair styles not the same that creativity.
Good point, Vegeta has BEEN able to go SSJ3. Just never needed a reason to until now. People need to stop sleeping on Vegeta.

Cept in super he never tried it against beerus before he ever got god forms. Even goku thought 3 would do better against beerus than 2
@@thelittlebosniaexperience8181 Considering Vegeta was terrified of Beerus, he may have thought transforming into 3 would take too long, or, he knew it didn't matter and just went for 2 as a test, considering how easily Goku went down in 3, he knew it was useless to even try.
It would make sense. IIRC people weren't even sure he could go SSG until Broly came out. It's just not a necessary form.
@@IGLXenix Not to mention Vegeta has mastered SSJ2 more to the point where it's better using SSJ2 than SSJ3
Vegetas gold hair is like a spikey edgelord crown
Tought the same thing, its like he went SSJ 2.5 , thats why he didnt ran out of energy
I love this addition to the series, but it still pokes a couple nitpicky holes in Super.

I agree with you, he is def a super sayin 2.5. It didnt look anything liks a true ssj3 transformation.
Super Saiyan 3 but Vegeta's defies gravity
I might actually finally watch this show, the first couple episodes were so bad and i def wasnt on board for a GT 2.0 but if vegeta is getting some Ws im here for it

This ssj 2.5 should have been rejected as well
Have you noticed that ssj3 mini Vegeta's hair is pointed up unlike the db Raging Blast series?
I believe he learned the [faster] way from Goku, through the fusion.
Then he trained to master it.
After turning ssj3, he even started kicking with his arms crossed like Vegito did against Buuhan.
The proper easter egg to give us a clue 💯
we got vegeta ssj3 before gta 6💀
Hear me out. GT Vegeta cut his hair because he didn't like how his hair looked in SSJ3 Which is why his hair looked the way it did when Super Baby 2 used it 😅
LMAO FFS
I know it was never thought about to this degree, but i'd like to think that it comes down to what the zenkai is based on. It's an amped of version of the idea that your muscles and body only become stronger when pushed to its limit. I think the reason why vegeta's training ended up yielding a stronger form was because his body was allowed to be stressed and rest. When you all of a sudden don't have any limits, what's there to break? I think vegeta's real, limited body helped him train much more effectively, and in more real and practical conditions than goku's training.
Tbh it's already been canon considering the loops Goku went through to get to God ki it's jus Vegeta never got to show it
Vegeta Learned SSB alone that are 400 times stronger than a inferior Transformation like SSJ3 if Vegeta can unlock SSB by himself can do anything is a genius.
Since when was it stated ssb is 400x stronger than ssj3
Logic off
One of the things that has made Dragon Ball transformations iconic is their emotional weight.
That spiky hair looks weird to be honest. They should've stuck with the original design.
I'm going out on a limb to say, post buu ssj3 should be normalized at this point
Look at super Goku using ssj3, he didn't show any visible tiredness after using it
So saying Vegeta is built for 3 is kinda disrespectful to goku
well he is not just ur average saiyan
Bruh the second fiddle getting SSJ3 FINALLY in almost 2025 doesn't mean shii to the supreme being that is LORD GOKU SIR
i always thought that ssj 3 was incomplete since goku didn't know how draining it was as a mortal before the final fight with buu, idk why but it made sense for me, so maybe vegeta just prefected it and that's why his looks different and probably drains less, it's more perfected for an actual fight
Im tired of people saying ssj3 is a useless transformation, thank you for this video.
Sense this happened now I’m more sure that ssj4 will return somehow- thoughts?
It feels like when we first saw Blue KK Goku. Goku says he’d already been practicing and was saving it for Beerus but Hits time skip forced him to use it. Same situation here. Vegeta felt that boost in power from the Tamagami and basically had no choice but to pull out his ace by using Kakarots form.
Now if Neva can do this for the Tamagami, Kuu and Duu could instantly become a problem if he decides to do the same for them…
Hair isn't long enough it's SSJ grade 5,5 😤
5.5 lmao
@@SaiyanScholar Toriyama told me so in a dream
@@LordCasterwell I can confirm this statement. I was in his dream.
@Hakaishin-225 I can confirm this statement. I sold them the shrooms.
It's def 2.5 and stupid to look at tbh, this is not how I wanted SSJ3 vegeta to look.
funny cause im almost 200% sure you will never see vegeta sj3 in adult form.
Yup
Ive prayed for times like these
Vegeta holding Ssj 3 so well is only because kids have more energy than adults. That's why that's Gotenks go to form
Yup
We already saw Vegeta SSJ 3 in Super Dragon Ball Heroes and in the games Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle 😅
Correct but this is the first canon view of it.
ssj3 fills a gap in power scales for vegueta, now we know that vegueta didn't skip ssj3 and it was indeed a part of his power ladder and training
The first time SSJ3 get a W in the fight and by SSJ3 Vegeta himself (not really counts Goku sparring with Trunks)
What Spar ? Trunks used a Weapon against Goku it's a serious fight.
Favorite dragon ball TH-camr along with geekdom
Rip laughing stocks channel :(
Unrealent???
Great Explaination/ goku will be seen how he turned into SSJ 3
4:30 This line of thinking makes me think that, Goku smack talking Freiza during RoF is Goku's personal experience with SSJ3 being used.
So what's the explanation? Is Vegeta ssj3 not complete?
@randybobandy9828 I never said there was an explanation for it. I'm simply saying it's stupid to choose to make two people with exact same hairstyles grow into two completely different hairstyles for the exact same transformation
@@randybobandy9828he is indeed 2.5, not 3. And thats why he can maintain it so easily.....but the design is still dumb
@SWOTHDRAHe is officially Super Saiyan 3. Stop the cap. The only plausible explanation is that the Royal blood affects the appearance of some transformations.
@TheRealNightShot That still is dumb. I wish royal blood gave me special control over the shape of my body parts 😐
Also, Trunks has royal blood and he's a part of Gotenks.
This is absolutely insane I really like the new design of Super Saiyan 3 on Vegeta and I'm hoping maybe perhaps Super Saiyan 3 will look like something unique and Akira Toriyama definitely delivered making this transformation not looking stupid and not looking like something that's ripping off Sonic the Hedgehog.
vegeta's ssj 3 hair look like gohan beast instead raditz style
Yes!
bro he's half size. He can't have that long hair.
Let's hope when they get adult again, we can see SSJ3 on vegeta once again, or a spar with goku in the same transformation.
@@thatfunnykekguy6377 Huh?! GT Goku and Gotenks??
Possible two reasons why vegeta ssj3 hair style looks different. One: different Saiyans could have different styles. Two: it looks like the original concept art toriyama made for ssj3.
Vegeta learning Super Saiyan GOD and SSB without needs the ritual it's much more impressive.
But he need wish
He just had the help of one of the strongest beings in the Multiverse, no big deal!
Um goku and vegeta didnt know that the form existed so stop it
If goku knew he couldve achieved the form the same way as vegeta or easier, mind you shenron told them the myth of how to achieve the form, without the help of god ki training vegeta did with whis.
I was quite surprised they used the original SSJ3 design for Vegeta. You can check out the early concept art for SSJ3 with Goku having this hair.
we got vegeta ssj3 before GTA 6
You do know I'm a low class warrior, right?
