In this episode, I get cracking on seeing if that ol' 1962 International Cub Cadet Original garden tractor will run at all, and hopefully even drive, on its Champion generator 6hp engine! Which doesn't sound like a lot of power, but the stock engine was only a 7hp Kohler.
But first, I introduce you to our latest curbside score, a 1968 Allis-Chalmers Roto-Bee RB2035 rototiller. The 3.5hp Briggs & Stratton vertical-shaft engine seems seized, but it displays well enough that I thought my A-C collector Dutch pal Wim might want it. Can I unstick it and get it running? We'll use a borescope to look inside the cylinder with minimal disassembly!

That AC tiller looks exactly like the old Merry Tiller I had years back, although that was a small, regional U.S. company. I don't know if they exported to Canada or not but their factory and headquarters were not far from the Washington State/ British Columbia border so who knows? Merry Tiller was bought out by MacKissic in the early 90s.

I bought An ultra sonic cleaner for carb work this past summer cause I had a carb apart 3 times and still had an issue in a passage way plugged off. Was worth it for it at uncle wieners in Edmonton Don’t know why I didn’t get one years ago
I almost bought one from them too! But I hemmed and hawed and ended up getting mine from Amazon. What a great tool they are! I felt like I should've gotten one years ago as well!!

It's a shame the tiller engine is bad. The Cub Cadet will be nice when you fix the clutch and get some rear tires.
Yep, that ol Cub needs some TLC but it'll be worth it!
